Anyone else having this problem? - Galaxy Tab General

When I power off my TAB and power back on it loses my created mobile connections (3G & MMS)?????

Check your SIM. It should create it automatically if you have a USIM.

Has nothing to do with the SIM whatsoever.

Preferred / Default Wifi Network

I have a strange problem with my HTC Trinity's WiFi. It connects to my home network ok, but after stand-by mode, when I press the power on button, it just keeps discovering other WiFi networks but does not connect to my preferred (home) network automatically.
If I click Start / Settings / Connections / WiFi, or go straight to comms manager then select the network and click connect, it connects ok to the network and stays connected until next stand-by, when the problem repeats. It is driving me crackers having to manually select my home wifi network everytime. I've searched the net and these (and other) forums for an answer without any luck.
I have the Orange SPV variant with WM5.
Please help.
88 views so far and not a single comment. Please someone tell me i'm not the only one experiencing this problem, otherwise i'll think i'm going mad!
All I want is for the device to remember the last wifi connection it had before going into standby, and connect to it. Telling me how many of my neighbors have security enabled connections doesn't help me.
On my knees in frustration begging a response.

Bug when moving off WIFI on to Mobile Data

Hi,
I've noticed atleast 4 times that my phone doesn't connect to a mobile network from data when away from a WIFI connection.
So when I'm at home, the phone is connected using WIFI and all works fine. When I leave home, the phone should be connected via a mobile network (i have Settings>Wireless & Networks>Mobile Network set), but it doesnt seem to connect when I try and use the browser. If I restart the phone or unset then set "Mobile Network", then the phone seems to pick up the mobile data connection and function normally.
Has anyone else seen this?
Cheers,
Ash
Sometimes, mine will switch automatically but very often it will not. It hasn't been a problem for me but I agree that it should switch over without us having to manually turn Mobile Network off and then back on again. Anyone have any ideas? I'm using the Bell stock, unlocked on AT&T.
I know this thread was originally started some time ago but I thought there would be others with similar issues as mine and mashed_ash but. Please, post if you have any ideas. Thanks.

[Q] GPRS connection doesn't work...

Hello everyone
I am a Chinese user. I hope you can understand my English...
Recently I have exchanged my phone with my father's Nexus S.
When I get my Omnia7 back I find that my phone cannot use GPRS connection but only WiFi...
I can turn on the data connection and the top of the display appears "E"
but no app can access data connection, I tried to turn on internet sharing but it displayed "There's no celluar data connection to share right now."
I have tried a lot of methods to fix it...
eg:
1.run Samsung Tools, check on ADC, then reboot, it doesn't work
2.run Network Profile, select Telekom.de ,then select CMCC(my mobile service provider) back , reboot, it doesn't work
3. call ##634#, *#9908# , select Suwon 2G Test Bed and save, reboot, it doesn't work.
4. call ##634#, *#9920# , it displayed all the internet settings, every line is correctly set.
5. add APN in celluar settings, reboot, and it doesn't work.
6. I called CMCC support and had my GPRS service reset, then reboot my phone, it doesn't work.
7. I tried other's SIM cards(GSM) but the same problem. I have no 3G SIM card so I don't know what will happen when I use 3G connection...
8. I put my SIM card into Nexus S, and turn on data connection, it seems that nothing is unusual... every app goes well with GPRS connection...
My Omnia 7 was very hot and in reboot loop several days ago. I put it outside the window to cool it down.
I wonder if GPRS module is burned when it comes hot and into reboot loop?
Try the Samsung network profile app, select some other provider, then yours. works for me. Might be worth a try

Thanks for your reply.
I've tried this but it doesn't work...
I think there may be some problems in GPRS module...
Thanks anyway...

[Q] Roaming problems (troubles on business trip)

While everything is working perfect "at home" .. but I had quite some problems on my trip to Amsterdam .. I will try to summarize:
- I had to manually connect to my company's wifi even though the access point should be "known" to the phone. I have no Idea why since at home it simply connects to my wifi. Formerly this was not a problem - the phone connected automatically. Could have something to do with 4.3? Happened while phone was in Airplane mode (wifi manually set to on) and while phone was in roaming mode.
- When I quit airplane mode I see a stop sign - I don't get prompted to enter the sim pin. So I have to reboot the phone to get gsm working i.e. see the signal indicator.
- In roaming mode not every network operator worked. The phone e.g. saw Vodafone NL but the network wasn't available for a connection. T-Mobile worked.
- I was not able to make a data connection over any Roaming Network. I assume this is for the reason that I had no APN for that provider. Shouldn't the phone receive the correct APN "over the air" ? Or is Omega lacking an accesspoint list that works for roaming? This is puzzling me.
Any help is much appreciated. Who can shed some light?

H910 can't find WiFi access when having no mobile signal or in flightmode

Hey folks, Im having a very weird issue.
I can't find / connect to Wi-Fi spots when I'm having no mobile signal or when I'm in flight mode.
As soon I have mobile data and a carrier the wifi accesses appear.
This is so annoying because at home I'm in a low signal area and sometimes my wifi crashes and then the wifi can't connect again because of the lag of mobile signal.
I attached some. Screens.
I tried to reset the network settings, no success.. But I don't wanna do a factory reset..
Any ideas? Never heard about that kind of issue. No matter which phone.
Ok found a solution. I removed the WLAN - n support by changing the router and now I finally can connect to the wifi without sim card or mobile repection.. Due the N thing my router didn't show in the menu without having signal.
