Win7 x64: Missing driver for PCI Simple Communications Controller and PCI Serial Port - Galaxy Tab General

I'm missing driver for PCI Simple Communications Controller and PCI Serial Port.
I'm running Win7 x64.
Can anyone help?

Are you using the stock launcher when you connect your tab to the PC? Are you using kies? Because it contains all the necessary drivers.

I am using Kies.
I finally contacted a HP Support Representative, who guided me to installation of the Intel Active Management Technology drivers which also contained the necessary drivers for PCI Simple Communications Protocol and the PCI Serial Port.
Now, I've managed to sync my GT through Kies, but the connection between the device and my PC (Win7 x64 system) seems to become lost constantly.
Now bricked...!!!
Of cource I couldn't wait to update the firmware, so I downloaded the latest version from samfirmware.com and started the flashing process through Odin3... and now my GT seems bricked as it lost connection in the beginning of the flashing process, and now it won't start at all. Just showing a nasty communication error picture on the screen...
HELP!

usbmodem not working on win64

Im not sure if this has been discussed or not but im trying to provide internet to my computer via usb modem but when I try to connect to my computer after activating modem link it just detects as a generic serial device rather then a modem. my friend was using it last night and it worked fine on his computer. Only difference between the two is Im running windows 64bit. is that the problem or is it something else.
No one else has had an experience like this on windows 64 bit edition? It detects the phone as a "generic serial" and will not install correctly. Any work arounds or updated drivers?
I'd say Google for a 64bit driver for the "HTC USB Modem" that modem link creates, my quick search was unfruitful though.
The problem with Windows 64bit is you need 64bit drivers. Most companies aren't writting them simply because the number of people using Windows 64bit isn't large enough.
The pain of being an early adopter is starting to set in eh?

windows 7 and usb drivers help

i have never had any problems with windows vista at all now that i have a new pc it just wont work i installed the 64x drivers on my 64x pc and all i get is installing device driver software. samsung android usb composite device ready to use. cdc abstract control model (acm) installing driver software. s3c6410 android adb installing software. usb mass storage device ready to use and android ums disk usb device ready to use. i waited for ever and its just stuck there i changed from one usb port to another some ports recognize it some did not. if it does it goes threw the same process of installing device driver software and some times give me a fail on cdc abstract controls model (acm) i also downloaded the 32 bit and no budge there. i restarted my pc and all also. i been at this for days just need some help searched the forum and the search results did not help thanks.

I'm not exactly sure what you are asking. I had problems getting my epic to show on my pc as well. For me, it wasn't the dr4ivers, but the fact I had it plugged into a usb hub. Try plugging it in a main usb port on the back of your case... these are usually the ones for your keyboard/mouse.

I haven't been able to get drivers to load at all... I have given up.
I too have a 64bit Win7 machine.
I too had the same drama for days on end..
I too read that installing PDA net will get you up and running
so..
I too am suggesting the following:
get PDA net and when it installs, select "samsung" and enjoy being able to plug your phone into your computer
I hope this helps
When booting windows hold F8 key and choose "Disable driver signature",now boot into windows and intall drivers it should work.
If not intall PdaNet tether on ur epic download drivers to ur phone for ur pc(it promts u) install them and ur good to go,dont forget to disable driver signiture and if u on win64 bit than u gotta disable it each time u boot into windows.

[Q] Win 8 hates my intel drivers?

So I can't even get win 8 to install. It always asks for drivers for my sata device. I tried using the newest intel drivers from intel for the DX58SO mainboard(sorry can't post direct link) and extracted the drivers from the package to my usb drive. Now I've tried 8 different sata drivers in that package but have been unable to get it to accept the drivers. My sata mode is currently set to IDE
Am I just going to have to wait for the build to progress so that it'll accept the intel storage drivers?
try to update bios
It's been updated as well. Updating it actually shaved 15 or 20 seconds off the complete boot time to desktop but still not working for me. I have a feeling I'll have to wait a while before I can install this onto my spare drive.
from the product page of your board:
Six Serial ATA 3.0 Gb/s ports, including 2 eSATA port with RAID support supplied by a Marvell* controller
maybe you should try the marvell drivers, idk with sata ports are used by your hd / drives
Unable to find any marvel drivers. Only thing I can find on their site is for Ethernet. Ill just wait for a later build
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using XDA App
marvell dot com -> support -> driver downloads (dropdown from support) -> 2nd entry ( 5/26/11 Windows Setup Installer (32- and 64-bit) for Yukon Controllers )
or direct link: www dot marvell dot com/support/downloads/driverDownload.do?driverId=175&action=1
Ack sorry. Used to associating Yukon with network drivers

[Q] Marvell sd8686 LAN SDIO not working... also webcam

This applies to a specific device not on these forums but running Windows 8
I upgraded from Windows 7 on my Viliv N5 and now the webcam and a "Marvell 802.11 sd8686 Wireless LAN SDIO" won't start... I checked both online and computer manufacture... I got drivers from the computer manufacture that hard reboots and one from online with: "Error code:10 Device Cannot Start"
As for the webcam I might have to call the now shutdown business so I'm hoping for a fix...
Did you do an in-place upgrade, or did you do a clean install that replaced Win7? In-place is supposed to work, but in my experience it almost never does it perfectly. Clean install is the way to go. Copy your driver files to a flashdrive or something first in case Win8 can't find them, but usually it can.
Alternate option: Uninstall theoffending drivers (entirely; use Device Manager and remove the driver software). Then reboot the PC and see if it tries to load the drivers from Windows Update. This *should* find them. If it doesn't, try installing the drivers from disc / downloaded files.
Tried Windows Update as soon as I did a CLEAN install... wiped HDD incl recovery >.<
I can provide device id... and the website gives me a corrupt driver
Edit: Will do a "Dirty Install" if I reinstall stock will my key expire?

USB Tethering Error Win 8 i9505

I would just like to share an error I found when turning on USB tethering on Windows 8 using a Samsung Galaxy S4 i9505.
Earlier, I was turning on USB Tethering for the first time. It worked fine for a few seconds while my computer was still in the process of installing the new drivers. The connection was all fine while it was running on the stock Microsoft Remote NDIS drivers.
But after it finished installing the Samsung NDIS drivers on my computer, USB Tethering suddenly stopped working and I couldn't find any local area network on my Network Connections folder.
I found out there was a problem with the drivers. I tried updating and it just said that the driver I'm using is the latest from Samsung.
If this happens to anyone else, go to Control Panel > Device Manager and look for the Samsung NDIS drivers. Right click then go to Properties > Drivers >and do a Driver rollback.
Using the stock Microsoft Remote NDIS driver seems to fix it.
I'm currently looking for a working driver from Samsung and if anyone has a link please post it. Thanks! :good:
New driver works
