I know it's not complete build but you can imagine since this fast extraction worked - Leo is gonna have gingerdude very very soon :L)

+1 ...i totally agree. some get ignorant for no reason. it's like they try to belittle others.try to sound one step smarter than the next person..and for what? what do you gain? i also hate when someone takes advantage of the post system and talks down to someone with less posts.

Oh hell yeah. Saw this earlier, but didnt even realise that it was my post that you were talking about. Biff has already tried to start booting, but no luck yet. Motoman and M-deejay are on it as well.

the question i posted was majorly mistaken as i tried to be retoric. to those who still don't get it better question could be "how long do you think our developers will need to get gingerbread working, share your thoughts!"
as i'm long time member of this site i can now perfectly see why some newbie users are afraid of asking and rather pay for complete tut how to get android workin on ebay and similar.
such big site should be open to new users because they can become potential developers (they get into it and get addicted...).

now with hd2 i learned so much about wm year by year.. so at this time i am ADDICTED full respect to devs and newebies booth is needed to keep this in friendly and going forward continuum.. i reply rarely but this is "must" quick reply salute to all members.. be friendly and helping each other.

Its important to remember, that the Development section is for developers only. You can make a comment on the threads that are posted by Devs, but unless you are a developer, you should NOT be posting threads in the development section, EVER.
Finally, there is a Themes and Apps Section, where you can find/post information about different applications or wallpapers/themes for your phone.
The reason I'm posting this is because I know what it's like to be a 'noob'.
Don't be insulted by that term.
Everyone was a noob once.
But by reading the threads(especially the stickies) and using the Search function effectively (Did you know you can narrow the search down to a single section in the forum?) you can help educate yourself, and avoid duplicate threads where the same info/question is posted more than once. Which increases the chances of the relevant information being more easily accessible to the people looking for it.

Don't get me wrong, I know this thread is a good idea, but I genuinely have trouble reading/understanding what k0sh says. Or why someone that thinks he's wasting his time should still appreciate it.

His english isn't so good because that's not his first language. Malaysian english is horrid, but it's not their fault, visit the place and you will understand.
He is trying to raise awareness of posting correctly in the right section, so I guess at least he has good intention. Although this has been done in the sticky and almost everywhere else.
If you don't like his post, isn't sometimes silence is gold?
Sometimes the harsh response for a post in the wrong section is just crazy in this forum. The harsh response seemed like venting out frustration on an ignorant noob.
In the interest of keeping the peace, I took the liberty to rewrite kosh's post. (kosh, feel free to use it if you want). I tried to keep it close to your own words. I also just added in info about the accessories and themes/apps sections.Hope you don't mind.

Lol... I'd take offence too, if anyone would measure the standards of Malaysian English by k0sh's postings.... what with me being a true-blue Malaysian, born-and-bred. ;-)
True, thanks to the wonderful efforts of our government (I won't go into the corny joke of how oxymoronic our government intelligence is...) the standards may be declining, but it's nowhere near what would be termed "horrid", and sure, we'll have our versions of hillbillies and rednecks (referred affectionately, though politically incorrectly as "jakuns"...) who'd mangle the language to no end... but it'll be quite rare for an English-speaking person to not be able to hold a decent conversation with any Malaysian in the Queen's language here, except of course, you run into the people I've just alluded to... ;-)
Anyway, the idea and intent behind this thread is noble, and to be honest k0sh was just trying to help. Yes, the execution may be a tad flawed, so instead of just harping on him or his standards of English (true, his penchant for "txt-spk" doesn't help matters either)... let's just do what stoney has done, and help each other...

The fact that you brought up ios in a x10 is gonna tick people off. You really shouldnt have expected any other reaction. Look, if you like the looks of ios...then go download trips miui rom. Its pretty close. Dont know if you already tried it or not...but its worth a shot. Even cobrato has a miui rom to try. But with all the gingerbread news flying around these forums today then something ios related pops up.....dont expect people to take that very nicely.

you posted it in the wrong section of the forum and it does seem like a bit of a joke when we have been getting comments about 2.3.3
im sure the people in the thread who commented on it didnt mean what they said in a bad way, i posted a comment in a thread a couple of days ago and got slighty flamed for it, but hey you know what that is life and the internet.
just remember that you posted your thread in the wrong section, which is what peevs everyone this forum (even me).
I see where the op is coming from, The responses were a bit too harsh

First, you are not going to banned for the thread you posted. It's obvious that your question was offtopic and imposible I think, but I don't wan't to get into that.
Second, you don't post this publicly since it's better that you PM a moderator about this. These kind of threads clutter the forums. I already received your PM.
