Charm Rom - Flipout and Charm General

SInce the charm and flipout are essentially the same phone, and there is no forum for the charm, here is the charm rom if anyone comes in here looking for it:
http://j.mp/charm-rom
Supposedly you use this and RDSLITE 4.6 (although I haven't tried it) to get back to stock
This is taken from a post here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=770362
**I don't know if the drivers are the same and don't recommend flashing the charm rom onto the flipout**

Ironically I actually own the Charm and really like it quite a bit. Why there isn't a seperate forum for it has been rather puzzling to me. Lately I have using the Cliq a lot.
Sent from my MB200 using XDA App

How do you flash this rom to the charm? I get to recovery and also have the file extract to the the sdcard renamed to update.zip.

Its just a stock rom, so if you didn't f-up your rom there is no reason to flash it.
I'm assuming if you've gone so far to f-up your rom, you might have an idea of what RSDLite is. I'd like to help, but the charm is my first motorola phone, i'm not a developer, and I haven't tried flashing this myself as I have no reason to at this time.
Its just posted so the links/information is here for others.

The charm rom is not compatible! xD

I've gotten my T-Mobile branded Charm now and these are my first experinces:
- It's SIM locked. A PIN code requester pops up when a non-T-Mobile SIM is inserted. T-Mobile customer service will, though, within a couple of days - provide the unlock code per email for free but only if an active T-Mobile customer calls them and provides the IMEI and their email address. Also you can pay $20 a cellunlocker.net to call them (I did - waiting for them to get back). Swiftunlocks.com should be cheaper.
- Universal Androot v1.6.2 can't root the phone. z4root worked nicely, though, after reboot. Didn't unlock SIM lock.
- Holding down arrow up while turning on the phone (hold power button 4 seconds) boots into USB flash mode. It's a non-interactive mode that allows only for reflashing the phone over USB.
- In the USB flash mode I've been able to flash the official T-Mobile ROM using RSDLite for Windows. All other ROMs have failed - found only one other ROM for Charm but it failed. Even tried one or two for Motorola Flipout.
- Installing the ClockworkMod app makes it possible to boot into Recovery mode (a feature in the app) and this mode has a menu for wiping and installing update.zip but I've found no update.zip for the Charm. Tried google apps (for MDPI) but it failed.
- I have found no way to backup the current ROM since I've found no community Recovery loader/bootloader (there might be some for Flipout though - not sure if they're compatible) and ClockworkMod probably can't install one since it doesn't know Charm (it asks me to confirm that wether it's a Droid Milestone, Driod X or Droid 2) - haven't dared to try confirming, though.
- I've tried to get rid of Motorola blur but once I removed some of the blur apps using Titanium Backup the Account settings started crashing and I couldn't replace them with the ones from my Hero (Titanium would only let me restore data - not the apps). Gmail v1.3 could uninstall but Gmail 2.3.2 wouldn't restore - Titanium just say failed to restore.
- Oh and I've found the screen to be OK but it's a portrait LCD that Motorola has installed in landscape so it's viewing angle is better with you turn the phone 90 degree (portrait). In normal landscape mode you get a slight 3D effect on dark blue colors in normal landscape orientation. The keyboard is hard to use with one hand (too wide to hold and reach all buttons with the thumb at the same time) but with two hands it's faster than any software keyboard I've tried. I might get better with one hand later.

Hi! I read that motorola released the new rom with multiple bugfixes but I'm italian so I can't download it, is there a way to update my motorola charm?

Puoi aggiornarlo con una rom ufficiale per il tuo telefono. Eusta è la sezione sbagliata per questo tipo di domande... -.-''

in effetti vedo tonnellate di sezioni dedicate al motorola charm..

I recently got an update pushed from T-Mobile and I'm now running Firmware ver. 2.1-update1. Build No. BASIL_U3_03.90.7.
Since this update I am unable to root the device using UniversalAndRoot, Z4Root or SuperOneClick 1.9.1. Nothing works. Anyone else have this problem or have any ideas?
Thanks

Rooting...
I had the same issue but found that pulling the sim and sd card, turning it back on then using superoneclick actually works. Also I am in need of the official T-Mobile rom for my charm as well and the link at the beginning of the thread is dead. This phone has been a royal pain when it comes to doing anything and all that could be fixed with some froyo. This phone could have been amazing(minus the low res screen of course).

[Q] PLEASE help me! Droid X wont boot into recovery

Hello, im SO desperate...
I rooted my Droid X a while ago, and just decided to flash a custom ROM yesterday.
I tried ApeX; worked great. Buy it reminded me of my rooted CM'd G1, so i wanted something else. I decided to try a bunch of ROMs so i could make an educated desition.
Needless to say Bootstrapper worked great.
I tried Fission, then, DarkSlide; GummyJar, Liberty 1.5 & finally, Tranquility.
I must say, the latter one is a bit too buggy for me.. For one thing, lock screen.. doesnt shoe the lock button, so you kinda just have to trust it'll unlock when you swipe your finger, and in most cases, it does... But it aint what i was looking for.
Ive decided i liked Liberty, for its easy to use GUI for customization.
Heres where the problem starts...
My device will boot into Tranquility just fine, but if i try to run recovery thru bootstrapper... uh-uh. Nothing happens, I guet stuck in the Tranquility boot screen (tranquility replaced the default M screen, as well as the animation boot, just like liberty)....
I tried using clockworkmod rom manager and i got the EXACT same results.
I tried formatting my sd card; nuttin... i read somewhere, someone said that "charging the battery to a full 100% worked for him"... it doesnt make any sense, but ive tried it.
I dont know what to do... i mean, my phone works fine, but i dont wanna get stuck with TRANQUILITY!
ive also tried unrooting and rerooting... uninstalling and reinstalling both bootstrapper and clockwork...
If i shut down and boot with the home+power pressed buttons, the phone WILL enter its recovery mode, ive already tried a "factory reset", and all i get is... THE SAME THING! Itll reset my Tranquility as if it were the first time i flashed it.
How can i flash another rom?
I read something about an SPL, but ive no idea what that is nor what to do with it.
Id appreciate your help...
Paul Suquet
First of all it is an SBF, and will get to that in a second, first try booting while holding just the volume down button with the power button. If that does not work, you may want to SBF. This is a process that erases all the data and system files and takes you back to how the phone was when it came out of the box, or 100% stock. After doing this you could root again and then install liberty. If you want a guide on how to SBF, then just Google it. There are many guides available
There is a thread here called getting into clockwork mod the hard way. You could try it before doing an sbf.
Sent from my DROIDX using XDA App
try turning ur phone off, plug it into ur charger let it do the charging animation and then turn it on, it should boot into recovery
Ok people, [SOLVED]
Good news people, i successfully recovered via Verizon's SPL.
Allow me to recap; i own a Mexican Droid X, known as Motoroi X. I rooted via one click root, and installed Fission ROM. Then i wanted to try ApeX, after that, i tried GummyJar, then Liberty, then DarkSlide, and finally Tranquility. I don't know if i did something wrong, of if this is a problem Tranquility has, but after Tranquility, bootstrapper woudn't boot to recovery... so, i wasnt able to switch roms. Tranquility booted just fine, but if i tried to boot to recovery (be it via Bootstrapper, or via ClockworkROM), i got stuck in the "tranquiliy boot screen" (not even making it into boot animation), so , i had to take the battery off, and boot regularly... Trouble is, I didnt lile Tranquilty (all my respect for all dva's but, Liberty 1.5 was my choice, and it is at the moment). I liked the easy customization it has. One of my friends decided on ApeX (he liked the idea of having a bit of Blur).
SO, what troubled me was:
(1) My phone aint from verizon. I live in Mexico City, and my carrier is called IUSACELL... my phone actually had a totally different version on it when i first got it. Ill give out the version it had from factory, to trigger search results towards this page; hence help the multiple people in mexico city who bought their Droid X device via this carrier... my Sistem Version was:
Version.3.0.15.MB810.Iusacell.en.MX
Ive attached a screenshot of what my "About Phone" looked like from stock.
Cant attach anything, due to being quite new to the forum, sorry about that.
So anyway, I, and one of my best friends (with the same phone and carrier... allow me to say, that in mexico, this phone is not commercially known as a DROID X, its called Motoroi X, buy as you can see by the version MB810, it is the exact same hardware you verizon users know).
Let me say that, my phone was able to keep all my carrier config (that is, PRL, VPNs and such). So, to all other Iusacell Motoroi X users; ROOT YOUR PHONE; AND RUN ANY ROM YOU LIKE!
(2) I heard so much about SPL, but no one could tell me what the heck that was... SO here it is, plain english; its just like doing a firmware update; or, like updating your bios... Let me call it "hardware formatting"... Just a way to get your phone TOTALLY back to stock... Now, this SPL i found, was for Verizons stock, (which had a lot more crap than Iusacell did...), but hell, it saved my @$$. Youll need an Ubuntu Live CD (i use Ubuntu as my daily OS, so... no need to do that), the SPL per se, your phone, and a micro usb cable (no, not a mini USB, we all know motorola did a trick on us and used this micro USB instead of the common mini usb... i suppose they saved some space).
Here are the complete instructions: (remember this will flash your phone, so, be sure to backup at least all the contents of your SD, and; even if there is a slight chance, remember that any of this thing COULD potentially brick your phone, i'm willing to help all i can; anyone out there, but dont hold me responsible, this worked GREAT for me, and it MIGHT not work for you).
Please note that most of these instructions are not authored by myself, i just made a few adjustments to thm and i wanted to make them publicly available to those out there who are in the same ordeal i was:
1: Download the Ubuntu image. It's an .iso file - this means it can be burned onto a cd/dvd. Do so.
2: Once the burn is complete, reboot your computer, set your bios to boot from cd/dvd if you have to.
3: Ubuntu's Menu will appear, select "Try" to boot into the OS without altering your current setup.
4: Download the .sbf_flash utility and the proper .sbf file (note that a file that starts with a period, means to linux, that it is a hidden file. The sbf_flash I got, dont remember where i got it from but it weighs exactly 24KBs. And the .sbf file i found is called "VRZ_MB810=_2.3.34_1FF_01.sbf" weighting 445,393KBs. Dont you dare change the name of these; as Linux doesn't recognise spaces as a character, so, if you changed all the underscores to spaces, Linux' console would not be able to "see" it. If you can't find it, post a reply in this forum, ill see the way of getting it to you.
5: Flash the image onto your phone:
Turn on hard recovery mode; turn phone off; press (and keep pressing): CAMERA + VOLUME DOWN + POWER. Until it comes on. You may have to release all three, and press again power (usually the screen is "blocked").
Now youre in hard recovery mode, and the phone will recognize the computer via USB; so... CONNECT YOUR PHONE VIA USB, duh!
Place the .sbf file to a directory (e.g. Documents)
Place the sbf_flash file into the same directory
Open up a terminal window
Change to the directory that the files are in. [cd] is the command you use; so if in Documents, type [cd Documents].
Ubuntu is caps sensitive, so you need to type the capital "D". If you type "ls" (the equivalent of typing "dir" on Windows Command, or DOS) it lists all the files in the current directory you're in, so type [ls], if you see the files, you're golden.
Type [chmod +x sbf_flash] (ignore brackets) – this command makes sbf_flash an executable. If you've been rooting your phone with ADB Tools you've seen this command before.
Type [sudo ./sbf_flash [name of sbf file, starts with 'VRZ_']] (once again ignore the brackets) – this command runs the sbf_flash file. 'sudo' is the linux-y way of 'running as administrator' in Windows.
It will prompt you for your password - enter it (if your in a Live CD; password is most likely "admin", with no quotes)
Your Ubuntu machine will hard format your phone. Youre probably used to seeing your phone itself perform the installation of a ROM, this is similar. But it aint your phone directly doing it; its Ubuntu... Glorious, faithful ubuntu.
Your phone will reboot, and youll be in a Verizon Stock Rom. You WONT be in the version i described before (but that version was lost since your first Rom...) Iusacell Mexico will work flawlessly... youll still have your telephone line working, and your data plan (if applies). All you have to do now, is run bootstrapper again (this time itll work), your phone is most likely still rooted. If its not, run one click root again; and run your favorite Rom.
Ive tried all roms and decided to keep Liberty 1.5, only downside ive found is; a) camera works, but stock software seems a bit buggy, and b) NO HDMI port. My friend kept ApeX, there IS an HDMI port on ApeX, but as far as I know, youll need to install Stock (Blurry) gallery.
It is a shame HDMI can only be used for picture and video taken from the phone, viewing... I trust sooner or later, there'll be a rom (or a paid app...) able to exploit the HDMI capabilities of the Droid X.

[Q] Moto Milestone X (Any way to root/custom rom's) ?

Hello, I just got a Motorola Milestone X. Its running on ACS alaska network. From reading I've done this phone appears to be the moto x but just not the vws branded phone? My question does anyone know of a way to root it and or any custom roms for it? Its filled with bloatware and no way to remove it and the stock rom is very ugly.
Ive tried z4root, superoot, androot and various other rooting guides that were supposed to work on the Moto X but all have failed me. Its running 2.2.1 and from what I gather this might be the problem?
Any help or info from anyone else familiar with this phone would be greatly appreciated as I hate it in its current stock form and would like to at least be able to remove the bloatware and crap I dont use even if there arent any custom roms for it. Thank you
Possible root
I also have a milestone x from a local carrier, and was able to root it.
I downloaded and installed all the Motorola drivers.
http://www.motorola.com/Support/US-...tware_and_Drivers/USB-and-PC-Charging-Drivers
Hooked the phone up and went through each mode to ensure all the drivers were installed.
I then installed the latest version of SuperOneClick from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=803682
I then extracted and ran SuperOneClick, chose the psneuter exploit and clicked root. This was able to root the phone. I did need to reboot the phone before the superuser application would work though.
I haven't looked into custom roms yet.
thank you very much for the information. I tried super one click but it would always lock up but maybe i'll give it another try. Is your phone running 2.2.1? Thanks again for the reply.

I must have used a older version of SuperOneClick before. This one you linked worked with no problems at all. Thank you so much!
No prob, glad it worked for ya.
Thanks for the post. I was going through the same frustrations with my new ACS Milestone X. I see now that there is a new version of SuperOneClick ... anybody else trying to make this work, make sure you use v1.7.
So back to JDinAZ74's second question ... now that we've rooted are there custom roms for our CDMA version of this phone? I see tons of roms but none that I've noticed specify GSM or CDMA, which usually means it's GSM. Anybody know for sure?
the dx is on verizon, so its all cdma. i not sure it would matter though...
Yeah I'm not sure it matters either ... I know on my HTC Desire it mattered. If I flashed it with a GSM rom it would not boot.
Okay so somewhat unrelated ... i've got bootstrap installed and was able to do a rom backup via clockwork recovery. Is there a way to boot into recovery from the device being off? I tried every combination of buttons while pressing the on button but nothing works. I've looked all over the forum (and googled) but can't find anything.
I want to start installing custom roms but am affraid of something going wrong and me not being able to reflash my backup.
Then again maybe I'm just confused because I'm coming from a Desire which I've discovered Motorola and HTC modding differs significantly.
Im still looking for roms as well and kinda afraid to just start trying things like you said. If you come across anything that works let me know and ill do the same.
to get to stock recovery, hold power and home till the moto logo appears, then release the power button until you get an exclamation point, then let go and click the search button.
to get to cw recovery, do a battery pull and reboot.
if you completely **** your phone, sbf.

Fantastic! Thank you.
I don't know that they could do an sbf being on a non Verizon carrier. The sbf files out are all for Verizon. If you do screw up your phone you would have to take it into the store and have them sbf it. And they might not. I think you guys just need to be a little careful. Unless you can find an sbf file from your carrier. Try apex, rubix, or liberty roms for flashing. All the roms are cdma. Good luck and be careful.
Sent from my DROIDX using XDA App
The milestone x uses the same RSA key for its bootloader as the original Droid X. You CAN flash a Verizon SBF into it and it will work, HOWEVER, it will NO LONGER work with your carrier. It is also important to note that ANY SBF will overwrite the baseband AND the baseband configuration (unless specifically noted NOT to do so) rendering the phone useless, requiring re-programming, which for the voice part is no big deal, but to get EVDo working again you'll need to edit some non-user accessible parameters with QPST and what not to get it to connect back to the non verizon carrier.
What you CAN do with this phone is non-baseband patching updates/roms. If you've got a Milestone X you're not on verizon, so you're not able to use the leaked SBF's and what not, which removes a decent safety net. So flash with caution. If your carrier is small enough they are likely to re-sbf your phone for you if you brick it.
One last word of caution.. Verizon's DX on leaked GB's updates the BL to a newer version than is on the Milestone X. This will turn your phone into a Droid X, with no ability to go backwards until the same BL is available on the Milestone X.
In short, we non VZW DX owners have a lot less fun..
Bollocks to that.
really wish I knew if someone had tried, I really want to try that leaked gingerbread.
went ahead and took the plunge with... SUCCESS. I installed Liberty 2.0.1 and nothing went wrong, you just got to be more careful than others who have the sbf backup.
Went to ACS today because i'm considering this phone, ACS is partnering with Verison(GSM), and GCI is partnering with Sprint (CDMA).
Just incase it's not clear i'm sure roms for Verizon will work for ACS and roms for sprint should work with GCI.
Double check incase i have the two "bands mixed up" i know i have the carrier relationships right.
Does anyone know if we can overclock with out romming?
I tried droid overclock a few times which always sent the phone into a boot loop. Id have to pull the battery and do a factory reset to get it running again.

Latest OTA G1?

Go down to Method B since you aren't on 1.5
But really, why would you use official android?
Get froyobylaszlo, or ezgingerbread, or cm7
He's right, OTA updates are good (not for me), but it is better to root your phone. There are lots of threads on the internet, I used Official Androot app and it worked fine. Then you'll need to flash a custom recovery image. I have a tutorial for that, so just check that on my account. AFTER that, you can flash a ROM, CyanogenMod 4 is also 1.6, but if you want to have like 2.2 or 2.3 like all the new phones, you have to update your Radio/SPL. I prefer the 2.22.28.25/1.33.0013d combo, because you'll have 14 mb more RAM (At the cost of playing 3D games) If this helps you, please show that by pressing the thanks button.

Just had this problem when playing with my old phone... when you press menu does the backlight on the buttons flicker? do some keys just not work or seem to press random buttons? if so the keyboard cable needs a clean.
My exact issue was (just in case you dont get what i mean)
Home Key would type Home, e , back
w,e and d on the hard keyboard seemed to e more off than on and would often just make the light flicker or turn the screen off
Power would press both the home key and power (so i could only get into the shut down menu once id turned the screen off)
ive heard this is quite common and the failure buttons vary but it was VERY annoying as i couldnt press home to confirm a restore of a zip

[Q] How to unroot Milestone 2 Build nummer: MIUI-2.4.20

Hi there!
this is SauceBoss7_. I recently bought a used milestone 2 with MIUI installed on it. Let me say that I am the posterboy for noobs. I have read several threads on how to unroot ones mobile phone, however I have seen many custom roms, many versions, many area's etc. So I quite stuck. I have never flashed or rooted my mobile phones. This is ( in my mind) a quite specific problem.
Let me give you some information why I want to unroot my milestone 2. The camera on the phone is HORRIBLE. It only takes blurry images! I have tried many 'solutions' but not one of them worked. I have tried almost every possible setting, downloaded many camera apps, but the phone just keeps taking blurry pictures. I want to unroot the phone, so I can look if the camera takes pictures that are not blurry in the custom rom. THEN I will root the phone and put the newest MIUI rom on it again, cause I really love it and just hope that the camera is working on the newest MIUI. There is a button that looks if there is an update. Even though it is a outdated version, there is no update for a newer version.
Here are some information about the phone I founf on the system settings:
model: A953, android version 2.3.7, (baseband(radio)-version: EPU93_U_00.59.01, Kernel versie: 2.6.32.9-g79d818c [email protected] #1 Wed May 4 14:14:50 CST 2011, Build number: MIUI-2.4.20

You can always go back to stock, let me explain, MIUI is a custom ROM, it means it's a modified firmware for your phone, if you don't like it, you can go back to stock, and if you like modding, you can root it and try other ROMs
To go back to stock you need a few things:
Motorola USB Drivers, you can get them from http://developer.motorola.com/tools/usb_drivers/
RSD Lite, you can get it from http://www.mediafire.com/?racaejnadym1q2g
A stock firmware, there is a superthread with firmwares from different carriers across the world http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1465476
Now that you have the drivers installed, the RSD installed, and the stock firmware sbf file, you need to get to bootloader:
Turn off your phone
Open the slider keyboard
While pressing the "up" arrow in the slider keyboard, press the power button
You'll get a black screen with white characters
Open the RSD Lite and connect your phone to your pc, select the .sbf file of your choice and click on "Start" it will take a few minutes, and then your phone should have a stock firmware on it and it should feel like a brand new Milestone 2
NOTE: YOU HAVE TO HAVE A FULLY CHARGED BATTERY IN ORDER TO FLASH THE SBF FILE FROM THE RSD LITE!!!

Thanks for the reply and for the steps! There is one 'problem' though, every retail link of the files in Europe are actually invalid; the files are not in existance. Does someone has an alternative website for the European sbf file?

Try with Retail UK
It's Android GingerBread 2.3.4
Thanks for the advice. I followed every step you described, but there was a problem. in RSD Lite, it said to manually power up the phone. There was a logo of motorola on the screen, and I tried to reboot the phone manually, but it did not reboot. So I found a thread on this forum where it was written that when the manual reboot fails, I have to pull out the battery, hold the x button, and power on the phone. There does come a screen with a picture, as described on the forum, but when I press the @ key, nothing happens! When should I do now??
UPDATE: I got recomended another sbf file, I tried to do the same process with that sbf, and the process went oke, than the phone automatically booted off, and now it does not go on anymore! When I connect the phone to my laptop, the laptop does know that a device is connected, and that is it! I know tried to flash the first sbf file and now I am at the first step, RSD writes to manually reboot the phone, and the phone does not reboot as written above with the other sbf file. When I plug it out, the phone does not go further than the motorola logo.
HELP!!! How can I fix this!!
UPDATE 2: Out of frustration I just pushed random keys and the recovery menu suddenly popped up! It looks like it is working!

Flash the Retail UK again, but since that firmware is GB to enter the recovery menu you have to press both volume side-buttons instead of the @, then you can wipe data/cache and boot your phone

Thanks man, I already did it and now it is working! The main reason I flashed to the original rom, was to look if the camera is any better, but the camera still sucks! it still takes blurry picutres! Damn, a lot of frustration for nothing! I think I will now flash another rom on it, since the camera is not working properly.

Just keep in mind that you are now on GB and if you're going to use custom roms you need to use one that is based on european GB kernel

Hi there!
this is SauceBoss7_.

[HELP] ZTE Blade Q Maxi stock rom

Hi guys, after a year and a half of running custom roms, I am sick of it. My main problem is that I do not receive SMS messages when they should arrive. I receive them hours after they have been sent. Another problem is that sometimes, I can't be called. My phone doesn't display a call, or being called at all. But somebody is calling me and my phone doesn't say anything. So this is very frustrating because you can miss important calls without you even knowing. And this has been happening to me almost on every rom tried. They all work well for some time, but after they start to screw around and not be consistent.
My question is, how can I install the stock rom from Orange Reyo Romanian (ZTE BLADE Q MAXI) so that my issues will go away? I have cwm, but it seems that the firmware at the zte site is only installable with the stock recovery, not with a custom recovery like CWM or TWRP.
So yeah, any help would be much appreciated.
just copy the update .zip from zte syte on your sdcard and then install with twrprecovery!
i test it and it work
or you can download a stok backup for spflashtool posted by me on xda for restoring the phone stok rom
search it 2-3 pages back
it has a recovery stok too included

Thank you! But what drivers do I need to install? SP flash tool does nothing when I connect the phone to te pc
Can I install it with CWM? As i have not installed TWRP on my phone

yea! loks like a drivers problem.
make a serch on google after "Zte handset usb driver" and install it.
the pc see your phone if turned it ON?
what windows do you have?
Sent from my ZTE Blade Q Maxi using Tapatalk
I have installed the drivers. But still doesn't work. Even when the phone is on, SP flash tool doesnt see it. I have windows 8.1. I run your zingerone rom. Maybe it is the problem that even when my phone is on, when I connect the phone, the pc doesnt see it? The pc doesnt see it at all, when i have the zingerone rom installed. SHould I install other rom and then try SP flash tool?
The backup cannot be installed with CWM?
Now, after installing drivers, i get another error. After i click download and connect my phone to pc, SP flash tool sees my phone, but de download bar is red, and after 3 seconds my phone disconects and i receive the error: PMT has changed; it must be downloaded. I have no idea what this means.
EDIT: IT WORKS! I managed to make SP flash tool see my device by flashing it. But, by flashing it, it bricked my phone. So I thought I'm screwed. But I installed the stock recovery from @vaserbanix and at least got the phone to boot, but it was stuck in bootloop. So i downloaded the update.zip from ZTE site and put it on my sd card, got into the stock recovery and managed to install the update.zip. And now my phone has the stock rom and is working flawlessly.
Thank you @vaserbanix my friend for your help. Also, how is your health? Are you feeling well, my friend?
Hi @deepside_dj,
Glad to know that you solved out your problem. I want to ask you, if you don't mind, do you have that problems regarding SMS messages and phone calls before you start installing customs ROM's? I have to ask you this because I received a Orange Reyo(Blade Q Maxi) branded by Orange, with exactly the same issue. In the company were I work, the phone was used internally, for GSM testing especially. And I understand from the test user that was using the phone, that, even if the phone was having the stock ROM on it, was having exactly the same issues sometimes.
For examples, some text messages were received just only when the phone receive a call, even if the message have been send with a few hours before, or something like this.
So, in this case, I'm wondering if actually the custom ROM's are the root cause.
Right now, I'm using the phone for test software development and also as a spare phone. And because of this, even if @vaserbanix have done a great job porting other ROM's for this phone, I already start working on a custom ROM for me to use that is going to be based on the stock one, but much more smaller and without that bloatware preinstalled on it. So I have to know at what to look after. Maybe is not the custom ROM's fault, but just an update or a wrong placed internal command that is interfering with the RIL normal execution with the radio hardware.
Best Regards,
DarKay

When I first got the phone, obviously, it had the stock rom. I used the stock rom for months on end, up until @vaserbanix ported the first rom for this device. While using a fresh stock rom, fresh as in directly from the factory, I didn't have any issues with calls/SMS. All came when they were supposed to. Even after using custom roms, for some time, i haven't encountered deal-breaking issues. Clearly not something as big as missing calls, that don't appear when they should etc. Well, all went good until all of a sudden I didn't receive calls. I was using the MIUI v5 rom, which is my favorite rom. I thought it might be a bug, so I flashed the rom again, but nope, the problem still persisted. Which was odd, since I was using that specific rom for months. After that, I tried many other roms ported by the one and only @vaserbanix until i settled on the Zingerone rom. This was the fastest and most clean looking rom for me, and I was happy that it ran good. Until, the issue with calls/sms not being received reappered. Which really frustrated me, because I lost an important call, without me even knowing it. That is when I had enough, so I installed the stock rom again, with a bit of work, but in the end the install was good.
So now I am using the stock rom, it has been only a day since I installed it, but it seems solid. Only time will tell. If I encounter the same issues, be sure I will report it here!
OK, thanks for the information. I wanted today to take the SIM card from the test operator to make some tests on the phone, to see if I can find something wrong with the card or the phone or at least, reproduce the issues, and found out that the SIM card was replaced. It looks like on another phone was still having the same issues. So in this case, it seems that the problem was with the SIM. I will make some logs on the phone to see if the problems resides also on it, especially now, because I modified and installed one of the custom ROM's build by @vaserbanix. Only the time will tell.
In the mean time, I have a new "toy" (Blade Q Maxi ) so I have to play with it a little bit, but I will let you know if the problems returns, or at list found the root cause of this, because I think you are going to get bored real soon of the stock ROM. See you soon.

There is stock rom for ZTE Blade Q Maxi with which can move apps from phone to SD card.
But it's a full of Viruses, adware, malware and hijacking trojans.
If someone know how to remove viruses and others stufs. Or find what was change in android to be able move to SD Card, and put that change in regular clear stock rom?
