Battery cover or not? - Desire HD General

Hi there!
A few minutes ago I had a little controversial discussion with a workmate about the Desire HD. So the question is:
Does the DHD have a exchangeable battery?

Yes.

Alrighty! That picture answers everything, thanks!

Poor Battery Life

Hello there,
i was wondering if anyone else is angered about the poor battery life of the Jade. I mean I cannot even go through a day without charging the phone?! Is that normal? or is my battery just damaged? I just got the phone last week.
Thanks for your answers.
Frank
dude, this is the 3rd consecutive post regarding battery life.
But i agree with u.
Even though mine last longer than one day.
well my question has nothing to do with the other battery questions
so i thought i could open up a new thread.

I'm now using Elfin, I want to trade in my elfin and get the jade.
Just a silly question, can the battery in elfin be used in jade?
I have 3 now! (1350mah) If yes, then I can save money to buy new extra batteries!

Problem with Blackstone (Need the Dr House that's in you)

First of all, hello everybody, I have an hard question to post you all.
I have had some "water probem" regarding my Blackstone.
After it, it worked good for about a week and now it totally drains the battery in 30 minutes. At least I thought it was draining it !!!
But the truth is that it doesn't drain it, because I checked it on another HD.
My diagnosys is that the part that reads and recharge the battery got oxidated.
I was thinking about forcing the HD not to read the battery or trick it telling him it that's always 100%.
The question is, how can I do that ? by registry ? disabling the process ? but most of it ..... is it possible ?
Thanks to all in advance.

Wow, thanks that's a really good site.
Anyway I already treated it for everything, lupus included...... I really think that if I could get it not to continusly check the battery I could use it with the only problem of not being able to charge it.
I'll keep looking forward to try to do this by code !
Thanks al lot anyway.
I love that show. House is hilarious.
Good luck getting things figured out. I'm sure it's technically possible but I imagine it would require hacking of the OS itself.
My users ask me all the time, "Is it possible for you to .... "
I always answer, "Anything is *possible*. But..."
I totaly agree with you my friend.
Anyway, I figured it out.......It was the camera, that damn little camera was heating up (A LOOOT) the main board.
I just unplugged it a my HD came to life again (too bad I just bought a brand new HD2 --- :-D ) well, I'll use it for Rom cooking.
Anyway, thanks.

Days? If you use it quite often probably not more than one
About battery it turns out that If battery performance is critical for you DHD might not be the choice.

if you don't mind a phone that comes without the HTC Sense UI and HTCSense.com, there are phones, like the Samsung Galaxy S, which might be a better choice over the HTC Desire HD. Why so? The HTC Desire HD might be an impressive phone, but there are certain aspects where we weren't too pleased about. The HTC Desire HD comes with an S-LCD screen that pales in comparison to the former's SUPER AMOLED screen. The HTC Desire HD is a hefty and heavy phone that might not be everyone's liking. These aspects also affect its battery life, and thus it's certainly not the best among the other contenders

Here is craigspc's review from this thread
And now the deal breaker.. The battery… Oh dear oh dear.. I always thought my desire was borderline, but within a couple of hours of use the DHD had gone from full to just 29%. I was gutted! Completely and utterly gutted!!! Fair enough, it was on for most of the time, but apart from 5 minutes with the camera, 10 minutes with co-pilot and about an hour with Google maps in town, it really didn’t get all that much of a workout.
I was looking forward to this phone so much, but if that battery consumption turns out to be right I'm going to have to reconsider my options...
Anxiously await feedback from others as multiple charge cycles have been made....

I was one of the ones who have been waiting for this battery performance reviews and if it DHD can not really stand even over 4 hours with heavy-use ok Android rulez but Iphone 4is much better a choice in terms of battery.

[Q ClLOSED] Extended Battery?

Edit: Active topic already open. Please direct further discussion here. ~TheRomMistress
Ok, looks like the EVO and the HTC Incredible have the same size battery. Dare anyone try and use the extended battery for either device if they have one handy? I beleive there is a Seidio 1750 extended battery which would be a nice bump from the stock battery that the Desire Z comes with.

there's an extended battery discussion going on there: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=796701

I think it has the best battery yet out of any phone HTC created and I've had a crap ton of HTC phones lol. I can easily get almost two days on a full charge with sense 6.
