Problem with Blackstone (Need the Dr House that's in you) - Touch HD General

First of all, hello everybody, I have an hard question to post you all.
I have had some "water probem" regarding my Blackstone.
After it, it worked good for about a week and now it totally drains the battery in 30 minutes. At least I thought it was draining it !!!
But the truth is that it doesn't drain it, because I checked it on another HD.
My diagnosys is that the part that reads and recharge the battery got oxidated.
I was thinking about forcing the HD not to read the battery or trick it telling him it that's always 100%.
The question is, how can I do that ? by registry ? disabling the process ? but most of it ..... is it possible ?
Thanks to all in advance.

WELL dr.house would say do a biopsy and if you locate the cancer you could sent the patient to surgery, the pest parts for a translplant can you find here. Unless your diagnosis will work, i doubt it but hey who knows!

Wow, thanks that's a really good site.
Anyway I already treated it for everything, lupus included...... I really think that if I could get it not to continusly check the battery I could use it with the only problem of not being able to charge it.
I'll keep looking forward to try to do this by code !
Thanks al lot anyway.

I love that show. House is hilarious.
Good luck getting things figured out. I'm sure it's technically possible but I imagine it would require hacking of the OS itself.
My users ask me all the time, "Is it possible for you to .... "
I always answer, "Anything is *possible*. But..."

I totaly agree with you my friend.
Anyway, I figured it out.......It was the camera, that damn little camera was heating up (A LOOOT) the main board.
I just unplugged it a my HD came to life again (too bad I just bought a brand new HD2 --- :-D ) well, I'll use it for Rom cooking.
Anyway, thanks.

Battery Usage Reflects in steps of 10%

Was wondering if anyone has a reg hack that allows us to increase the resolution so that the Hermes shows the battery drop by 1% instead of the 10% that we are currently experiencing.
i have the same thing, i think we will have to wait for the next firmware to fix this...

Or maybe there is a Registry Tweak for "fixing" it.
(Who says that this is a bug ? Maybe HTC has intended to show it only in steps of 10% in order not to disclose how fast the 100% are gone ???)
Smart, I was wondering why my batteries doesnt go down! Hope we will get a fix soon.
It may do that to keep from polling the battery too often. So it may be a power saving "feature". just a thought.
Later; Lew
Got the same "feature" too.
I was thought it is a bug, or I have misinstalled something.
Joe
anyone have any idea to change it to 1, 2 or 5% per battery level change??
i have an Eten M600 (which uses the same cpu) and that does the same thing. hmmm, wonder if thats a hardware setting or software?
I wonder if "battery status" which was for the Wizard would work as a today plugin on the TyTN?
Ok tested the "batterystatus" plugin for the Wizard on the TyTN and guess what? Still only in increments of 10% must be something built into the device.
I remember this happened with the BlueAngel with the first roms too, and it was corrected in a later rom upgrade... so i guess it's just a rom issue.
found something !!!
problem is in battdrvr.dll as soon as I have copied this file from Wizard to Hermes and after SR battery status was showing 4%
however my battery was charged 90% but it means that in this file is something
responsible for 10% dropping
but even after coping hermes file (battdrvr.dll) back to it, after SR battery
was showing 4%
after HR everything was like before
Hope it is helpfull for someone.

I can't believe you bumped this thread just to say you can't believe the issue hasn't magically been fixed by someone else's hard work.
Sheesh.
A friend of mine has a Mogul and he is having this issue as well on WM6. Having a Hermes on WM5 and WM6, this has always been the case. Shogunmark and Faria discussed this in a thread at length and tried to port the Wizard driver (which would decrease in incriments of 1%) but to no avail. Its a shame such a good device has such a tedious shortcoming.
We're making a big assumption that pocketpc's that report in 1% increments are truly that accurate. I'm sure they're not. It's also fairly likely that reporting in 10% increments increases battery life not just per charge but also over the life of the battery. This is a pretty good tradeoff, in my opinion. I'd rather have a battery that lasts 3 years than have one that lasts one year, wouldn't you?
This is also one of the more nitpickier of the 'complaints' on the Hermes, even if all other things are equal.

Why? I guess it is quite normal (i.e. not magical) to expect one of the official roms to have it fixed. And I didn't mean to bump the thread. I got my 8525 only a few days ago and I was reading through the posts in the forum and I saw this one and I was surprised that the first post is more than a year old and no solution was found. I thought it was weird so I wanted to leave a post.
Are we happier now?
Crap, still no soln... I hate this 10% decrements!
Someone help pls!!!
Battery drops to 10%
i had the same issue. I bought a new battery and problem went away. Very sad. but on a positive note, I bought a double life extended battery that last 3 days. Buy on ebay for 22 dollars.
Also, you can just take the battery out and put it back in. once in a while, it recognize that your battery is actually full. This is temperary though
I hate this issue too!!
I notice also a little "incompatibility with Baterystatus, when I power on the PPC from sleep, it shows for some seconds the battery level at -1% (!!!)
not only: the shown themperature battery is always too high, never under 48° SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE
I think that this could be a hardware/software problem, i mean that software could not read the exact parameters of the battery, not only the battery level but also other information
Hope this will help bye

Jasjar Battery

I have a big problem with my Jasjar when the battery comes to 40% turn off the device
Please I need your help
RE
I think the battery life is ending
I've this issue and twice I changed the battery
Yeah.. It's obvious that you need a new battery.
P.S. What's with the big letters and red font?
thank you FOSA
My friend I have tow devices and they have the same problem.
My friend DaVince
Do you think the tow batteries are damage?
Thank you,
I wouldn't say damaged.. it's probably just old and the charge/use cycles have been too much already.
I would like to say many thanks for you and I need your advice about that if necessary to buy new battery or not.
Best regard
uau!!! I have the same, my device turn off but... with 80%!!!!!?
I have just been through the same thing with my MDA Pro and a new, original equipment battery (at £35!) has sorted the problem completely. Hell of a relief as I was thinking the problem lay in the charging hardware of the Universal.
Another group of people who never read before Posting.
@Midget
Suggestion, now Universal has 4 forum (Universal, Upgrading, Accessories, WM6), why not create a 5th one for this lazy people say with the title "Universal Batteries issues for the Lazy" and move all the batteries discussion there.
Kind of get sick with these questions about Universal dead X% of battery, and somemore in Bold Red.

Poor Battery Life

Hello there,
i was wondering if anyone else is angered about the poor battery life of the Jade. I mean I cannot even go through a day without charging the phone?! Is that normal? or is my battery just damaged? I just got the phone last week.
Thanks for your answers.
Frank
dude, this is the 3rd consecutive post regarding battery life.
But i agree with u.
Even though mine last longer than one day.
well my question has nothing to do with the other battery questions
so i thought i could open up a new thread.
im sorry for making your day miserable.
you have no idea how.

I'm now using Elfin, I want to trade in my elfin and get the jade.
Just a silly question, can the battery in elfin be used in jade?
I have 3 now! (1350mah) If yes, then I can save money to buy new extra batteries!

Battery life

The Battery in my mini behaves like it is worn out. That is, it drains very quickly and charges very quickly. Just to be sure that I have a working phone if something unexpected happens, when not in use the phone is on the cradle charging. I have a second battery on order and am hoping that the new battery will perform better than the first.
I have NoData installed and all access to 3G is blocked unless I start wifi or bluetooth. Otherwise there is nothing exceptional about the way I have the phone configured. I do check the weather twice a day and run the stocks option, and I do use it to listen to music with bluetooth stero head set maybe an hour a day.
I hate to think that this is all I can expect. If so, I will always have a battery freshly charged battery in the cradle and change batteries daily.
Howz everybody else doing? Are you getting the same sort of performance from the battery that I am?
i have same problem. i think it's a problem in current roms..
last week i saw a rom with this title "a new unlock rom by fixed battry life problem" but i don use that cuz i jus use original roms
My battery is good enough. One to two days of use.
I use the phone a lot for calls, mobile excel, off line information search (such as dictionary, tranlators, encyclopedia), calendar scheduling, gps navigation (thru navicomputer), and taking notes everyday. A few to moderate number of text per day. Plus occassional online social stuffs, music, photo browsing, and ebook reading. (When i lock down to some nice ebook topics, i can read for about an hour or two.)
With all these, the battery can typically last for more than a day. Although i haven't really tested if it can last a full 48 hours. Very rarely, i can run down to a dangerously low 20% or 10%. But never experienced an empty battery shut down yet.
For all this, i'd say it's good enough. Not spectacular. But not disappointing.
I'm particularly impressed with the battery performance under hours of gps use.
I don't really know if the gps or the battery is the great performer. But i'm quite satisfied with the performance in this department.
In fact, the acquiring of gps signal is so good, coupled with its great stamina, i decommissioned my dedicated gps device and removed it from the car, and then use HD mini as my primary navigation device.
4/2/2011 and i want to talk about battery life too...
I got my HTC hd mini with the latest maryone WWE rom, but
1st, never charges up to 100% but only 90%
2nd, I have no CHT installed
3rd, with some messages send and recieve, battery falls to 40% in 3-4 hours...
What the hell is happening?...

I'm using automatic backlight. My unit does not behave that way.
Whatever settings you have, you should be able to charge to 100%. Not being able to charge to 100% is a sure sign that there's something wrong with the battery.
I'm trying to help this guy find answers, using his description, and supplying the most probable explanation.
I see nothing wrong with that.
I don't answer "defective device" to each and every question in this forum. Try to check. I got a couple of hundred posts. I'm sure "defective device" doesn't show up in all of them. Not even half. Not even one fourth.
I try to help with opinions from my experiences.

About the 90%, i think is about the ROM or the Taskbar. In previous roms i had not that problem...

Haha, indd!
So thanx for the help anywayz guys!
My post, "Looks like it's defective", is a suggestion. It looks that way. It's for the owner to verify it himself. We make suggestions of possible answers. When did i insist it is indeed defective? Or even confirm that it is?
Suggesting it could be defective can help. Some had their units check, and confirmed they're defective. Some cannot confirm. For those who do, at least they got the replacement early. It's not 100% kill rate.
In my area, from the people i know, the defective rate is more than 50%. It's a good thing HTC is quick to replace most of them without much hassle. My supposed "30" post with the word defective doesn't even come close to 50% of my posts. And i'm sure not all of them is a straight shooting down of every unit i commented on. So what's the point? Trying to humiliate fellow posters? Do you get satisfaction doing such things?
Funny can be funny. You seem to have the habit of looking for the threads i posted in and shoot down every mention of defective. And then try to defeat my comment in the most sarcastic way. You keep following me around. I'm not famous. So don't waste your time doing so. It won't make you rich.
You hit someone in the head, and then said "chill out", with a wink. Doesn't make sense. You want to provoke people. And then appear very calm and peaceful.
You wanna make jokes? Sure. I actually find the first few ones amusing. Then the more you keep on doing this, it's obviously turning out to be sarcasm.
Are you provoking me to hit back at your other comments? Well, i'm not interested.
I've picked up a few useful pieces of suggestions in this forum. That's is the reason I'm trying to contribute back to try to help others. Especially the newbies. Like how i started.
That's my only point. I'm not here to amuse you, or to satisfy your ego trip.
If i've gone too far with my effort to help, someone please tell me. So that i will stop trying to contribute.

Totally UNACCEPTABLE.
Please make real jokes. Picking on others is not amusing.
2 words: Stop whining.
I don't understand how a custom ROM can create such a errors. If you use the packages of the stock ROM, nothing in the software changes, so normally behaviour stays the same. Have you tried running a stock ROM?

my phone is s4 gt-i9505 running android lollipop Euphoria Rom
..
It is functioning well yesterday & a full battery (coz i want to watch a movie using VR Cardboard).
while watching maybe less an hour, the "Low battery" suddenly appear, i was kinda confused.
when i touch the phone i didn't realize it was already overheating maybe an half an hour(so heat it smells like iron).
so i turn off my phone took off the battery & let it settle for a while.
when i charged it, I notice the charging status in the lockscreen says "Slow charging" T_T
until now it charges very slooowly..
do i need to replace my battery?.
or the problem is in the motherboard of the phone?
please help..
If the battery is swollen it might need changing.
The only other problems would be: Faulty cable/charger, faulty phone USB port and a faulty outlet.
My phone reached 70°C and stayed there for extensive periods of time, because I was gaming, but it still works. So, whatever happened, it must have exceeded that.
I used to have the same problem with you. I found out that my charging capble broke, you can check it. If it broke, you can change another one.
