[Q] Bluetooth issues - Epic 4G General

I'm having a few odd occurrences with bluetooth, and wanted to see if anyone else is having similar issues
1) When making an outgoing call over bluetooth, the caller on the other end can hear themselves echo, and barely hear me. If they immediately call right back it is no longer echoing.
2) Bluetooth mic gain is significantly lower that it was on my previous phone (Palm Pre)
3) Sometimes on bluetooth it seems to get confused as to which audio source to play. I have tasker setup to start Pandora when it sees the bluetooth connection from my car, which works quite well. The issue is that when on a call, sometimes Pandora will pipe in.

[Q] Jabra Extreme2 with Epic 4G causes phone to freeze

I have searched and searched and I am actually currently waiting two new Jabra Extreme2 headsets from Jabra.... but I don't have a lot of faith that the problem will be solved.
The scenario is simple.. Calling and listening to music is fine. The issue is on incoming calls, and only MOST of the time.
If the headset is on and connected (bluetooth) the ringtone will start to stutter and the announcement in the headset will be "call from " and a number instead of the actual name in the contact list. At this point the phone will be frozen. The call will roll to voicemail. The only way to shut the headphone up from repeating the number continuously is to turn it off. Once the headset is off, you can usually get to the pulldown and turn off bluetooth. It will take awhile (minute or two) to release, but it will. At this point you can turn on the headset and turn on bluetooth again and make a call without issue. Maybe even receive a call... but about 8 out of 10 calls will result in the above.
My wife and I each have an Epic 4g and a Jabra Extreme2 headset. The issue is the same on both phones. We have older Jabra BT530 headsets that other than sounding like crap. (old bluetooth tech) work great, no issues.
I'm not convinced the issue is the headset. I mean really, there is no "software" for the headset. It's just a bluetooth connection, so why is the phone freezing? I tried different ringtones as I thought that might be the issue, but it isn't.
Does anyone have any thoughts or insight, or any idea if it could actually be the headset causing the phone to freeze.
Also, does anyone know how to disable the PBAB as that seems to be related but without being able to disable it, I can't confirm.
Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated. Anyone using the Extreme2 ?
Well, I have a Moto Finiti Bluetooth and I am not having any of the issues you mentioned so far. Thankfully its connecting better than earlier ROM releases on my Epic

Note 4 Exynos Bluetooth Voice Call Problem

Hello everyone, I run into a really weird problem on my Note 4 when receiving voice calls while using a bluetooth headset.
Summary:
If BT headset is not already connected before initiating or receiving a voice call, you have to press bluetooth button during the call to direct sound to phone and then back to the BT in order to get the mic on the headset to work.
More Details :
1. Incoming Voice call
2. While phone is ringing i turn on the bluetooth headset.
3. I answer the call(Either from phone or the headset)
4. I can hear the other party, but he doesn't hear me.
5. The bluetooth headset mic is not working, neither the phone's mic.
6. If i press the bluetooth icon on the phone(while in a voice call) to direct audio to phone, everything works fine.
7. If i press again to direct audio back to bluetooth headset, everything works fine.
8. If the headset is already connected to the phone before i receive the voice call everything works fine.
9. If i make a voice call (maybe cause headset is already connected?) everything works fine.
10. Problem doesn't occur if it's a VOIP call through skype viber etc.
10. Using plantronics Marque M165 & M55, I have unpaired both repaired, cleared bluetooth cache etc problem still there. Lollipop 5.0.1.
For me it's a big issue since if i have the phone in my bag/pocket i have to take it out in order to be able to use the headset, which kind of defeats the purpose.
Anyone facing this ? Any suggestions?
Sorry for the long post & thanks in advance !
Anyone?
Anyone with similar problems ? Any ideas or suggestions ???
Yes, I have a similar problem, but with my car's bluetooth (the only hands free I use). This problem started after I upgraded to Lollipop, and it worked fine in KitKat.
With te device connected to the car's bluetooth, I have to make the call in the phone's Speaker mode until the other party answers. Only then I can switch to bluetooth.
If I make the call in bluetooth mode, I won't hear the ringing through the car's speakers and even after the other party answers, we cannot communicate.
This is a serious bug. It is my 4th Samsung Galaxy phone, and the only one that doesn't work properly. My previous S4 worked perfectly and I regret profoundly having bought the Note 4.
Ironically i don't face the problem you have. Mine works fine with my car's BT but i suppose this happens because in my case the car's BT is already connected to the phone.
I suppose you have tried to repair the bluetooth/ cleared BT cache etc right ?
I've just tried the phone with a Samsung bluetooth and problem solved !....So it doesn't play well with the plantronic's BT , warning for potential buyers !

High pitched outgoing Bluetooth calls

Hello. When I'm connected to my car, outgoing Bluetooth calls are high pitched and sped up, like the audio is being fast forwarded. Incoming calls sound just fine. Playing music over Bluetooth is good as well. Only outgoing Bluetooth calls are affected. Any ideas?
Stock 4.5.10 rooted. Happened with 4.5.9 as well.
Happens here too! If I don't use lte I will usually work for a while.
Same here
I'm having this issue too, but sometimes I get no audio on calls at all.
here's a link to my log if anyone can help: drive.google.com/file/d/0BwpzRFO_-dfBTkhveW9WaHRBNEk/view
Update on my end. I had my phone forget the bluetooth device, had my car reset it's bluetooth settings to factory, and re-connected. Works fine now.

Bluetooth VOIP call control

Has anyone managed to get bluetooth call controls like answering and hanging up VOIP calls from bluetooth headsets working on this phone? Normal calls work fine but if I'm say on a Hangouts call and hangup from my headset the call audio just switches from my headset to the phone speaker instead of disconnecting the call like one would expect. I had the same problem on my Samsung Galaxy phone but I thought with this being a Pixel, call handling regardless of cellular or VOIP would be handled consistently similar to how iOS handles them. Anyone have any tips or workarounds to get this working?

Connection with Bluetooth device makes unknown call

Running PA alpha 2. This issue started to happen out of the blue. When a Bluetooth device connects, doesn't matter if it's my car or earbuds the phone seems to make an unknown call so it doesn't play any other audio. I realized this when I checked the phone section on my car and it was in the middle of a call. When I end the call I get music back. I don't want to disable calls as I use it. Has anyone seen this a before?
