Hi Guys
Sorry for the Noobie question on this one. I have had to buy a 2nd Hand Desire to tide me over before I get my DHD. I am migrating from iPhone so new to the Android OS.
What happens to the Aps that I buy on the Desire, can I download them again on the DHD or do I have to buy them again. My Google account etc will not change.

To my understanding the programs will remain available to download for you when you move to another Android phone. The license is linked to your google account.

The apps stay with your Google account, so when you log in on your new phone you will have access to all your purchased apps.

im a jade user and now i have this made craze to try the android(no way to load android on the jade) so im planning on a tatoo can u guys kindly advise i know it does not have 3g(In my country India) and it seems to be the one in my budget so kindly advise

i think you should search the forum. you can see some of the problems and solutions for this phone there. my advice is that if budget is limited go for the tattoo...

This depends on whether you really need XDA support or not, I know we all here do to tweak our phones and get the most out of it!!
But if you are the types who does not play around much with the phone and wants an Android phone on a budged, I would recommend the Spica (has 3G but no GPS) and a larger screen, and is also way cheaper than the Tattoo.

if u can see from my sign i am a guy who loves to play around with my phone i have checked spika but i thing i cant have much fun with it
just wanted to know if the tatoo is as good as my existing jade ie is it a good phone and yes i would prefer HTC

Way cheaper than the Tattoo? It depends on where you are. My son paid <£110 for a Tattoo off eBay.
The Samsung is only cheaper if you pay full price.

I bought a Desire a week ago. I love Android but I dont like HTC Sense at all. Specially HTC's apps. I have something what I dont want to have, as a Peep, Weather or mainly Dialer, Contacts and Calendar.
I was looking for default apps on clear Android and I didnt find them. Cos HTC's apps are not as fast as the rest of system. I like the idea of simplicity which Android represents.
So, is there some way hot to get Nexus One ROM into Desire? Is that possible, or it's question of time only? Or may you give me a hint where I can find the default apps?

What if my company gives HD MINI and not Aria.
Besides, comments like "You should have bought an Android phone" can be missed in any forum. There's a question if it's possible to run Android on HD mini, not a question about what phone to buy.

I really would have thought that purchases would be tied to your account and not the phone. If that's not the case then I think it's appalling. Though I would expect you'd have to clear the account from one phone before it would let you move the software to another.

Yes you can, it's not device specific, it goes by you live account!
All you have to do is go to marketplace find the apps (the ones you originally purchased and downloaded in mozart) and re-purchase them don't worry you will not be charged twice as the marketplace will recognise that you have already paid for it and it will ask you if you want to re-install the app!

I compared photos taken with HD, Mozart and Omnia7 and Omnia7 was the best in every light condition. HTC always kinda sucked in terms of the camera.
And the screen is just SUPERB!
I've seen a news about Htc Sense 4 .
Come it on Htc Hd2 ?

i think maybe. As we can see, rightnow, with sense 3.5 tweak, HD2 work fine. And i think sense 4.0 is work as well. But the thing is we need time to make it work fast and perfect Just wait, maybe next month.

I believe it is not about buying a new phone but about developing something so it works on our phone, keeping our beloved HD2 alive. Anyways this is a Development forum, so please be nice to each other

Nonsense, plus he was talking about One V. I think HD2 is the longest lasting phone ever by seeing its development.

I already stated this just a few posts above, but please don't unnecessarily reopen old threads, even if you're trying to get 10 posts. Try wherever possible to use your knowledge to help people with problems they have right now, rather than ones solved months ago
Install "Go Launcher EX".
Go and search "HTC Sense 4" in market (Play Store).
Enjoy.
It's not sure yet. DEVs are working on this. Hope they will pass some basic hurdle. But yes it's booting you can find ICS sense 4 in DEV section. It's not for daily use but you can flash it and see how it looks.

As Kam said, reading and searching would easily have given you the answer. Just follow the guide in my sig to flash NAND Android, it's very simple.
You've got still Sense 3.5 on EnergyROM by NRGZ28
