Are you using the Buddy widget thing or the facebook app?
What do you mean by buddy widget?
The Feeds and updates? Yeah, and it works perfectly...
My twitter sync works flawlessly too.
The FB calendar sync works perfectly, the app works, but the stock sync and the app sync dont work.
I've tried running each sync (through accounts and sunc, and through the fb app) and NOTHING!

ok, here is what you do
1)enter the phonebook/contacts
2)click the menu button
3)select add friends
4)select facebook and add all the friends whose number you want to be synced
The phone won't let me click on the facebook tab under that menu.... The only one that works its the twitter one... :-/ thanks for that tip, I had never tried it.. Still no luck any other thoughts?

I can help but you want to sync with google I guess. Go to contacts, click menu button, accounts and add account, you need active data connection

[Q] Contact management on PC?

Is there any reasonably simple way to move all of my contacts to a PC, where I can easily remove duplicates and alter details and then replace them on my phone?
I use Outlook as my contact *manager and MyPhoneExplorer to sync them with the phone. But you could use just MPE to manage your contacts. I would mention Google but, even though I have an Android phone, I have no idea what using Google/Gmail/whatever is like for managing contacts.
Dave
I switched from outlook to Google when I moved from windows mobile to Android. If you go into Google contacts on your pc I'm pretty sure it has a feature to remove or merge duplicates.

Auto sync question.

Does turning off syncing under your Google account stop syncing from occurring completely? Or will it still sync when I run the application itself etc. Would like to turn auto syncing off yet still be able to sync.

You'll still be able to sync. Just turn auto sync off and for example, open the Gmail app. There's a refresh button at the top if you want to sync.

You'll also have to keep in mind that most email accts added to the native email app will be able to sync when you choose to, but an Exchange server acct might not be happy.
