I would like to know if anyone could help me with debranding and routing my Wildfire, I have a goldcard ready but if someone has a tutorial that would be appreciated.
well I was on T-mobile UK. All I have done is:
1. Used gold card tool found on google somewhere.
2. Flash new ROM that is listed on the forum.
3. Done, debranded
P.S if you need the tool PM me and I will upload it on rapidshare or something or look on google for GoldCard tool 0.0.5 worked for me

Hi,
I have just baught a HERMES (SPV M3100). Orange has set it up so I cannot use many websites (googlemaps etc). What do I need to de-orange it?
Also - can I get a new active sync? (the one that came with it doesnt sync contacts and doesnt sync with microsoft outlook).
I think maybe I need to Cook or flash my HERMES?
Sorry that these are basic questions. I have read the Wiki, but am no familiar with al the terms.

I got an SPV M3100 and I flashed it with various roms.
It's a simple process if you follow ALL the rules.

It is very helpful for me a (complete novice).
So to unlock a device I need to Flash HardSPL which is a modified bootloader ? (have I got these terms correct)?
If I stop after the flash Hard SPL stge will I have the same device as before, unlocked?
Few things I wasnt sure about, after reading the site:
"If your SPL version is 2.10.olipro then you ALREADY HAVE HardSPLv7. You do not need to flash it again."

there are a set of tools available under "itsutils" these tools allow you to back up ur rom...you'll need to find instructions they prob under blackstone rom section

New member and a proud owner of an HD2 for the last 2 days. I got mine from a vendor in Chicago and it was an O2 branded unlocked phone. Not a big deal, after spending about 3 hrs trying to understand all the details of how to upgrade from 1.43 to 1.48. But i am trying to understand if 1.61 is an official HTC release, if so where can i download the ROM. Is there a Sticky which explains the diff between the ROMS. Is 2.01 coming out as an official HTC update or is it a cooked ROM. Is there a way to create a gold card without the help of the QMAT guys because they will be discotinuing their service soon. Please help me answer these questions, so that I never have to leave the WM paltform and go to IPHONE again. I love WM but just never worked for me. It looks like this HD2 might actually be working in my favor, so far happy.

Hi - just to tag onto the end of this one. I did the goldcard thingy last night....i have an english o2 branded phone (or i did have at least) its stock 1.48 now. So, here's the question? have i got to run through the entire goldcard walkthrough from the start to go to the turkish rom ? and do i have to generate another goldcard thing again from qmat or can i use the same one?

No! You have to do the Goldcard only once! then you can use it as much as you want unles you format it afcourse!

Hello, sorry if I sound nieve with any of this. I am new to flashing etc...
Basically I have an O2 branded HTC HD Mini and would like to know the easiest way of upgrading the ROM, to the current one recentely released from HTC. The HTC help team have basically told me that O2 don't own any rights for HTC updates so none of their updates will work on an O2 branded phone!

In a nutshell, unfortunately you can't do it easily.
You can use SoftSPL to allow you to install a downloaded ROM but it wont update the radio ROM or you could use the Gold Card method, but currently there is a minimum purchase of $30 for Gold Cards.
Your first step is to download a ROM from Conflipper's site then decide how you want to proceed. Or download Tom Codon's excellent cooked ROM!
Unbranding HD Mini
Hi dude. I just flashed my Dads Vodaphone branded HD Mini to the latest HTC ROM. I followed the guide ''[SSPL][DFT] HowTo flash custom OS'' in the ROM Development section.
After that the phone was unbranded. The only problem was that I wasn't recieving a signal. After looking at the Radio version I found that it wasn't showing a version so I assume the Radio wasn't installed.
I fixed this by using the SSPL (the program that you used to flash the official ROM with) to flash HTC's updated version. What you need to do is download the Update for HTC HD mini intermittent audio muting and extract the .exe (using winRAR) to find the Radio_32.2806.05.06_0.63.05.40.nbh. Put this into the same folder with the SSPL and rename it to PHOTIMG.nbh. Once done you can flash it to your device.
This worked fine for me. Call quality is perfect. This removed all Vodaphone's branding and gave me back Copilot and the added extra's that HTC put in. I'll be writing a full guide on how to do this later on.

Having read about Goldcard, I'm guessing that this is what I need to do. Have looked at PSAS and would need to pay 30eur - is there a cheaper way? What about these unlock services that will send you an unlock code based on your IMEI number, would this change vendor ID to ubranded (normally about £12)???

Nothing works for my O2 one. I think O2 have started doing something odd?
I've noticed that people seem to find it easy with Vodafone, but numerous problems with O2. There doesnt see mto be a definitive guide for unlocking O2 ones specifically - is Goldcard the only option at 30euro? Does anyone offer a Goldcard type serice for cheaper?

I have Omnia 7 from Orange UK but it's without simlock and used in Poland (Plus GSM).
I have a few questions:
1. Which ROM should i choose to debrand my phone and get polish language?
2. Will this ROM allow me to download further WP7 Updates?
3. Do i have to unlock something more or can i just start operation with below progz:
- Samsung CDMA Modem driver v5.2
- WP7 Downloader
- ROM flasher
Polish language isn't necessary but would be nice to have it

Then to get Polish language on the device you need to carefully follow this guide which will explain certain CAB files you need to send to the phone.
Just take it slow

Yes if you don't want to unlock then you just need to do steps 1 and 2.
WindowBreak might not work on the very latest version of Mango, you will need to read that thread to double check.
If you're daunted by all the steps in the guide you really needn't be. Once you start it isn't too difficult, neither is the language CAB guide

I just found solution how to change language to PL without any operations on CAB files Just need to go back to 7392 version and change something in regostry files. If it works. i'll translate this guide as i found it on polish site
