I actually have the same problem - sometimes people just can't call me, the say it's as if my phone is turned off. Sometimes I also can't send SMS, it just fails. This never happened on my previous phone.

Answered calls going straight to speakerphone!

My phone has been doing this for 2 or 3 days now. When I accept an incoming call, the phone automatically enters speakerphone mode.
When a BT headset is connected, it is fine.
Anyone got a clue why it is doing this? I havenet installed any apps which should have this effect.

Been looking into this all night, with no luck. Has anyone seen this before?
Not had any calls come in on mine yet so can't comment on whether I am affected. I would have thought it would be well known about though if it was widespread.
Are you using stock rom? Tried re-flashing the RUU?
Had this to you need to make someone call you and keep trying with the button to switch between speaker or ear and eventually i got it right! Hold it against your ear then remove it and try button again thats how i did it!

Same here with that issue ever since those new updates started

Mine too but it hardly ever does it now. A sensor tries to detect how your phone is positioned and switches to speaker. It seems to go away on the stock rom, so persevere on the stock rom. It all worked out for me eventually. Word of advice though, DISABLE SENSE until it's ready. It makes your contact icons in messages disappear. Htc always releases questionable software which should be described as beta. If you use bluetooth for music, stick with stock for now. Yadda yadda. All in all, the dhd. Rules. Oh ya, anyone know how the htc hd2 rund witb android 2.2. I saw lots of great deals on ebay to buy a broken one and fix tbe software to run android. I just want a new toy really.

I had this for a while - turned out to be an iffy setting in my profile manager/switcher (phoneweaver). Are you using anything like that?
FIXED: Oh my word, how simple was this...
Should have said, I'm on stock everything as I have a poor track record with having to send stuff back to manufacturers to be fixed.
After spending all night looking for a solution, and trying a couple of things found on other forums (install phonespeaker app and turn it off in that - doesn't work BTW), I decided this morning to remove the possibility that the phone had simply got its panties in a bunch, switched it off properly and removed the battery. 10 minutes of being denied a power source has cured it. Most bizarre.
Thanks for the suggestions guys.

No Audiable Notifications and/or Vibrate from time to time

Hi Guys I have the T-mobile G2 running stock software-hasn't been rooted or anything. I've noticed that the phone will stop audiable notifiations and vibrate on then for unknown reason. It does that eventually every time after reboot, the only way to fix it is to reboot the phone or if I receive incoming call it will resume the notifying and the vibration on the notifications again. It is rather weird and If you guys know what might be causing it or how to fix it please let me know. I know there are more people out there having the same issue. I wonder why is noone complaining about it?
Thank you.
Have you tried to disable "Power Saver"? (Menu-Settings-Power Saver)

I do not have such an option on my phone-I have the T-mobile G2 not the Desire Z-maybe there is a difference there in the options menu...I don't run the HTC sense version....
Root your phone, flash some DZ ROM and then do what i said before
Now seriously. Sorry, that was my bad..
Does anyone think this is an issue worth looking into? If anyone has the same issue please advise if you have found a way to fix it. It does look like software issue to me just don't know what is causing it....
Come on guys, does anyone have the same issue? Any way to fix that without rooting and using a custom ROM?
Help is appreciated...

This used to happen to me all the time... on a few different stock android devices.
Notifications would just stop working. NO sound. I would go into Handcent and do a "Test Notification" and there would be no sound.
Always happened after having the phone on for several hours. I just got in the habit of rebooting daily. Currently I'm on Cyanogen Mod and haven't noticed an issue recently.
But like I said it has happened to me on 4 android devices all running various versions of Android.. so I'm guessing it's an app combo that I have.
I'm on CM6 and this happens to me randomly too
Yep, mine doesn't vibrate on sms notifications. Vibrates for incoming calls ok though. I only noticed it a few days ago. Hmmmm,.... Using CM6.1
I see, I am also guessing it's software related just don't know what is causing it...
The strange part is that when I reboot the phone shortly after it will stop notifying me or vibrating on notifications and after I receive a call it will start working normally again-until the next reboot-it is weird...

Hi there Everyone, I do feel that this is somewhat of an issue,
I have HTC G2 t-mobile running Cyangenmode 7-10 Rc
My issue of no sound notifications started after I updated the Rom
I was running 2.2.1 now it is 2.3.4.
I keep getting DSP manager error, and this will pop up when I make a phone call or if I have an in coming call. (and I hear some static noise) that part is not as annoying as the fact
Some times during the week (when I am at work and need the phone to be quiet) I will get actually get sound, and then on the weekend I don't
Not sure what is going on. with this I have been looking on line to find a solution I have tried a few but still no luck, Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Blessings from Moondaughter6

Sometimes I can't answer a call

I have a Wildfire that is still stock standard. 2.1 update 1. I am still reading up on how to root and will be doing that sort of thing soon. However this phone has a annoying intermittent problem. Sometimes when I get an incoming call and to answer one would swipe your finger downwards, nothing happens. So I miss the call. But this happens only sometimes, but enough to be an annoyance.
Anyone have a similar issue?
yes, it happens to me too...
And it happened to we with various wildpuzzle roms.
Dont know what to do...
me too, pls help
I have the same problem to ...
me too. having the same problem
My friend on 2.1 has the same issue. Fine on my one running froyo (stock)

[Q] SwiftDroid - Android 2.3.2 by Mur4ik - Call problem

So everything works like a dream except for calls (and the battery but I've got that under control). I try to call someone, it shows that the call connects, but I can't hear anything and neither can the other party. The only way I hear anything is if i turn the speaker phone on using the LAB (left action button or menu button) in call.
Any one got a fix?
Thanks in advance and thanks to everyone who are putting work into this project.
Same here, tryed microfoon fix but did not help.
edit: rebooted a few times and used volume buttons when calling. works now
having similar issue tho i can hear them speaking to me, but the other side can't hear me... it's not a mic problem cos the "voice recorder" app works just fine... have you found any solutions so far, as i ask about the same issue 3 months later?
Try updating to 2.0 M5 (2.3.4)
Sorry to bump an old thread but I really want to get back onto swiftdroid.
Has the in call issue been fixed yet??

I also have to same problem with random dropped signal and just tried to use your attachment. It says the system is down. I was wondering if the problem could just be the phone and not the rom and radio. I have the radio 2.15.50.14 and gingerbread 2.3.3.
Previously a guy said it was the phone. Wich sounds logic. I do know that its not youre nand vers or radio. The bettrr signal programm is temporary down it says.
