There seems to be some yet undocumented features:
Fixed bluetooth voice dialing (speaks through bluetooth now, before it didn't)

Mine always spoke via bluetooth.

2.2.20 just came out for us, but apparently some of the phones that Verizon stores get have an even later build?
Took this on 8/20 at an official VZW "corporate" location. I can't inline the image because i'm a noob at XDA, but suffice to say I've "been around".

Let's see if I can inline the attachment instead... No, because it's an "outside link" even though it links back to this website.

@jarofclay, Kudo's - thanks for this thread, now I can use my HS & now make verbal calls, haven't checked out the other uses for this update yet since using my HS (T1) is #1 on the list, again Kudo's.

thanks jcase!! I upgraded to leak #3 today just for the hell of it because I have a new Eris that VZW is overnighting to me since my trackball on my first one broke =) (it really did break)
gonna have it rooted before the UPS guy makes it back to his truck
Thanks for turning it around so quick!
I'm curious to find out if it still has the browser api bug. I'm gonna try it out tomorrow and see. My browser works fine, but any apps that call an <html view?> 404 out. :|

I have been running JIT on VanillaDroid since release. I would get random reboots 1-2 a day. I removed it this morning and has been stable since. I know Vanilla isn't Sense based but wanted to give you some input.

I guess the real question is:
For those with custom ROMs, aka AOSP-FROYO TEST, Flipz and Damage, will this affect the ROM structure?
my guess is it will. I hope not beacuse i love my root
For those who are rooted, DO NOT UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Whatever ROM you are running be it stock, or custom, there will be a custom ROM made that incorporates this update so that you won't lose root. If you accept the update there is a possibility you will lose root and will never be able to get it back. If you are willing to lose root then go ahead and update.

Let's not jump to conclusions now, with every OTA that was released thus far people were saying the same things about losing root. I've updated to the newest so far and nope, nothing. Don't worry to those of you who don't have much daredevil blood in them, I would be more than happy to be guinea pig for this next update and report back.
Getting back on topic, I am happy for the update. My Exchange 2010 calendar wont sync, and I dont care very much for the look/feel of touchdown (though it does work for me)
Cant wait for this
My calendar for exchange syncs fine. Looking forward to Froyo though!

You are likely not on Exchange 2010, then. This issue has been acknowledged by Google. They claimed that it was fixed in 2.2, so am a bit surprised HTC got it working for 2.1.

I agree with Swaze; the majority of us should curb our itch to upgrade OTA and wait for a rooted build of this new stock rom to hit the forums. Supersonic_1.32.651.6_rooted was made available within a day of the last OTA.
I'll probably try to update my girlfriends phone first to see what happens
OP wheres your source?
So is this FW update available anywhere yet or do we have to wait for the OTA on 6/28?

actually i never saw this on Engadget but my source is an my internal sprint tech that is assigned to our business account. I did find the article that was posted yesterday on engadget with the screen shot and my sources info was pretty close to that screen shot but a bit different.
Its all good i am not looking for any credit or to try and start any rumors i was just simply posting some info i got from my source and if its true then so be it, if it isnt then so be it as well. I personally am rooted and really dont care about this update. I am waiting for 2.2 which will be a big deal. My buddy at work has it on his nexus one and it smokes the EVO in the quardant benchmark tests an is very smooth.

But after I played around with it, I found that I disliked the look/feel of the tool. I disabled the mail/contacts/tasks function, and only use the calendar part.

New Firmware Update

FYI: Just got a new firmware update for "sensors". Not sure what the update is all about.
Me too, my guess is Moto is separating the new sensors as a new app for faster updates and adding new features. Similar to what they did with active display and such.

I have Pure edition and if I check System update manually it says that the software is up to day. I am on KKE21.187-42 (build number).

If its Verizon seeing the update it may enable VOLTE
Updating the "Motorola Sensor Services" app through the Play Store triggered a notification for this update.
None of the Moto stuff (Camera, Voice, Display, etc.) showed in "My Apps" before I manually searched/updated them, which seemed odd.

No. Verizon will roll out Advanced Calling 1.0. Has to be enabled on your phone and your account. Strictly optional.

Yes optional but no it has nothing to do with an app. It does require a software update to enable the feature.
Source: having two devices that received an OTA to enable the feature
"None of the Moto stuff (Camera, Voice, Display, etc.) showed in "My Apps" before I manually searched/updated them, which seemed odd."
--> Same situation for certain Google Applications on ALL Nexus version... It's a known problem.
Interestingly, mine appears to have taken the OTA and updated successfully despite being rooted and having Xposed and GravityBox installed and active.
I wish we'd get the firmware update to do data/voice simultaneously. It makes me crazy.

Here's a Pushbullet channel to alert whenever a new Nexus 6 factory image is posted

This is automated; it runs on my server. It doesn't rely on manual updates, so it should be pretty quick (the script checks every 10 minutes). Let me know if you have any issues with it. I have a channel for each Nexus device if you have others; check my signature for the full list.
Enjoy!
Great idea, very useful.. Thanks
Very useful indeed, Thanks.

Could you make one for OTA files? I still have a locked boot loader and don't have time to spend resetting the phone again for the sake of flashing an update :/
Interesting. I have a 6 I purchased with my activation of Fi. My build number isn't listed on that Android page. I've got Build LVY47H

Unfortunately not. The reason the script can be automated is because the factory images page has a set format that I can compare against--essentially, the script determines if any of the individual device tables on the factory images page has changed, then it grabs the new version text from the table and pushes to the appropriate device. There's no official source for OTA builds, and even though they're hosted on Google's servers they have randomly-generated URLs so I can't programmatically check for them. The best solution would probably be to subscribe to the factory image update channel, then check XDA every so often after a new build comes out to wait for someone to post the OTA update itself. Sorry about that!

Yeah, I saw this post yesterday then looked around for that build. Looks like it's a special build that's only on devices directly purchased from Fi at the moment. If it ever gets added to the Nexus 6 list on the factory images page it'll pop up on the channel, but if Nexus 6 Fi devices have their own set of factory images I'll have to add a separate channel for them, which is no big deal. Nothing I can do at the moment though unless/until Google changes something on their end.
As a sidenote, is your device codename shamu like a normal Nexus 6? If you don't know for sure, you can check by going to Settings --> About phone, then tap "Send feedback about this device", then tap the small "system information" link. Scroll down in that window a little bit and it's under the heading "Device".
Thanks for the detailed explanation, I hope that the OTA comes soon... Then again, I'm probably due a spring clean factory reset of the phone anyways ... I just don't want to, it takes up about half a day to configure! (I'm no longer a rooter and modder)
Is it still working? Can't see the MMB29K being posted there.
thank you

Just curious if you don't mind me asking, but what script are you running on your server that queries Google's site and how did you get that connected to your Pushbullet channel? I'm thinking of doing something similar elsewhere but I don't know where to start since I'm so new to scripting.
Great job, using it for a few months and it works really well, is it possible to have a channel for Android N preview?
Great job, man! :good:
But... it didn't work with the last update of yesterday, October-03, at least for the Nexus 5 & Nexus 6 channels...
Maybe it's due to a change in the Factory Images page, with that new "Acknowledge" button next to the text "I have read and agree with the above terms and conditions"?

T-Mobile Wi-Fi Calling.

I am running the stock ROM (don't worry, bro, be back later today :victory: ) and I just got an update on an app I had never seen before: Google Connectivity Services. The tag line is "Improved Networking for Android", and the description talks about automatic wifi connections and Google VPN. Obviously this is a precursor to Fi, but I am wondering if the delay for T-Mobile WiFi calling was to wait for it to be built on the Fi platform for WiFi calling, which we know will be part of the deal.
Not sure what to make of it, other than it's looking very proprietary right now.

You won't brick, the WiFi calling feature requires framework changes that (I can pretty guarantee) are not open source.
Second: This is in the DEVELOPERS ONLY section, so if you guys want to discuss WiFi calling and aren't actually working on it then you need to move general discussion of it to a different thread. This area is strictly for development and discussion of such development (technical things, not "oh nice can't wait" or "I'll test for you" )
i think we should look at the file systems for the stock nexus 6 and t mobile nexus 6 and check for differences i know its a long shot but ill check it out tonight and see what i can find.
Second: see development were not just chatting anymore
Third: If anyones already done that please tell me so I don't have to its gonna take forever.

you need tmobiles blobs. besides that, all n6 roms will be identical.
So I decompiled LYZ28E and took a look around in the Settings app. It has a class called WifiCallingSettings. Inside there it makes calls to ImsManager.isWfcEnabledByUser. It seems like Wfc is WiFi Calling. I took a look at frameworks/opt/net/ims/src/java/com/android/ims/ImsManager.java and it doesn't have a function called isWfcEnabledByUser. I looked at android-5.1.1_r4 and android-m-preview tags. I think we need to wait for Google to push androiid-5.1.1_r5. According to https://android.googlesource.com/pl...om/+/ecfa803f8e7ca0cb65e74fb4dda90c16156655f3 that's the tag for LYZ28E.
From what I've been told by a guy I know at Tmo, you can only use WiFi Calling on phones that have been authorized by Tmo. (Example) Nexus 5 with Android M preview shouldn't be able to do WiFi calling. Even though Google is now baking in WiFi calling into Lollipop and M.
Check out the latest revision (5.1.1_r5) on AOSP. It includes WiFi calling support. Check it!

I'll just leave this here since guarantees were made and all

I will add that you don't just need the frameworks part but also kernel commits to support this WPC feature
I'll submit the specific changes made to bcmdhd driver (rather than just merge the entire m-preview kernel) to Omni Github once it is tested further and verified functional and stable for merge.

Interesting. Todays nightly came closer than ever!
Stock CM Kernel allowed me to get the IWLAN status in SIM Status, but the Data Quick Toggle Shows TMOBILE (Not WiFi Calling), and I am unable to call out. Also, WiFi Calling Settings don't show up in the "More" Tab (Under Wireless & Mobile Network Settings), and no WiFi Calling toggle in the Dialer (Does CM use the Google Dialer? Or its own?).
Interesting. It seems like the hard part is done at least.

To my knowledge, all wfc builds so far have merged the m-preview kernel into the lollipop-mr1 kernel. I believe I have the specific commits needed and it will be up on Omni's github once ready.
