Update on Info

I looked in my email today to some surprising information. As many of you know Best Buy purchases the phones from the company therefore we can sell the phone at OUR price with NO rebates.
The new contract price will be $199. thats all i know. and all anyone knows. the phone will be released the second week of june. I get a hands on with the device on may 17th. soooo pumped. and i will keep you all updated the more i find out. that is 2 days before the may 19th event in new york. but anyways im pumped. you should be too.

Its going to be information over load soon enough and I for one can't wait

i was too busy to look at my email tonight... i will see in the morning... now i am excited...i have an upgrade waiting to be used on this phone!

i work at bby but i recommend them even if i didnt. get geek squad black tie protection. 9.99 a month and it covers everything on earth. literally everything.
and there was no info on anything else. my manager is top in sales in ky/tenn region. she is a big dog around here and has connections that she uses for me
but anyways the second i hear more ill report it back here.
i cant get fired for this right?

Hmmm...search of "SPHD700" doesn't come up with anything.

I am 99% positive it is the Samsung Epic 4g for Sprint...looking at Test Report 1 under DETAILS, it confirms that it is a CDMA phone with Wimax
Also comparing the body/form of the phone with pictures currently floating on the internet shows that it is eerily similar to the Epic 4g...2 buttons on the left and 1 on the right (marked by the indentions on the FCC ID Label and Location.pdf)

Thanks for the confirm. Saw the last post from the car and couldn't recheck until now - thought I hallucinated the whole thing in my desire for it to be there.
But it is there - this means a launch date should be coming soon. Can't wait!

It's kind of interesting that it was submitted just last week. I wonder if they were confident that it'd pass and started producing them before approval, because otherwise, I'd say its still a month from wide release.

I wouldn't trust that date - if you look at the Confidentiality Request Letter, it was submitted to the FCC on June 23rd.
Still hoping for a July release! C'mon Sprint...

There is a post on another forum about a Radio Shack employee giving a release date of August 12th. He had just gotten his floor model in and had paperwork with it... Not sure on the legitimacy, but if you have a Radio Shack near you, stop in and see.

Aug 12th is also the same release date as Droid 2 from big red. Will be interesting lines at places that sell both.

Are you sure you don't mean the androidforums post that says it is the 11th after the person tried a floor model that had just come in and pressed for the employees to check on the release date? Also someone recently posted in that thread on androidforums claiming to work at a radioshack and saying that they didn't get a dummy model or a release date, but that they will be notified by the end of the month for the preorder process.

That was the thread, I did misquote the day, and Aug 11 would be pretty 'Epic', launching one day before Verizon. I called my local radio shack and they hadn't got their display model in but expect it tomorrow or Friday.

Sprint Samsung Epic 4g Pre-Orders

Those of you waiting for the Samsung Epic 4g to become available should be extremely happy to know that starting tomorrow, 8/5/2010, you will be able to pre-order through Sprints website!
EDIT:
On Thursday, August 5th - if you are a Sprint Premiere customer, you should receive an e-mail containing a link to Pre-Order your Samsung Epic4G
Then, on Friday, August 6th - the general public will receive an email containing the link.
Here are some guidelines for the pre-orders:
-Only one Samsung can be reserved at a time
-Pre-orders will continues through 8/17/2010 (NOTE: The reservations may be closed early if inventory is depleted)
-No Money, Bank, or Credit Card information will be required to reserve a device
- all reserved devices MUST be picked up by noon on the day following the Samsung Epic launch or they WILL BE CANCELLED
-Reservations will be made through sprint.com/ Epic4G

Don't put out dates if you don't have proof or a source to back it up, because you are gonna get peoples hopes up if it doesnt!

Internal sprint memos. I can verify his info, but if you want screenshots, you're out of luck. Not losing my job over it

It seems about right got the Samsung announcement today and it says stay tuned so there is some good announcement coming. Also its about 2 weeks a way from aug20 pre-orders sound about right by Friday. Cant wait to see what happens soon or tomorrow. Im ready to preorder tomorrow.

If it really happens at the Engadget show you'll know as early as an hour and a half from now up to as late as 2 and a half hours from now if they like to keep the best for last. In either case stop back in 2-3 hours if nothing new has been posted then yeah...

How do these preorders from Sprint work? Do you pick them up instore or are they shipped to you? If so when do they arrive if shipped? Will Radioshack and BB be doing preorders for this phone?

I'm most likely gonna preorder from RadioShack if they have it for cheaper than 199.
That way I can get insurance through them, AND pick it up the day its released.
Im guessing Wirefly will have the phone for around 149. But dont know if I could start a new contract on my friends plan that way.

I got the free overnight shipping without a coupon code and didn't care about the case. I think Letstalk offered free overnight shipping for all pre-orders without coupon codes.

I called them and asked them to upgrade my shippong for free. Otherwise, I would still need to pay shipping fee. I am wondering if too many people called and asked for free overnight shipping, they would just go ahead and upgrade every order

Why has someone always got to put a negativity on a thread.
I dont need a case, got one off amazon, and unfortunately dont have a code. . . but this is good, it helps people out. . .
U know, @ Insomnia im on quite a few forums. My main ones being XDA, Forzamotorsport, and X360Achievements and each one has a code give thread, were ppl gain these codes, dont want them or need them, so they give them away. . . its brilliant! If your not going to use it why be selfish and let it go 'unused'?

You still want that code? I ordered through Sprint, so I don't need the code for ordering through HTC for the case. Let me know, don't want to post here for fear the OP doesn't get the code for asking first

I registered for the phone trade-in the first week of March, got my confirmation on the 9th. The email about the delay came on March 22nd. This entire htc-one saga has taken place in Feb and March. I'm not sure what you mean. April 4th was when we could finally start ordering.
I never got the email with the coupon code. No big deal, as it turned out I didn't need it. Once I found out that AT&T kept the phone stock like the global one and the logo was just a grey globe on the back, I decided to save $350 and get the AT&T. At the time I thought I could get it in black which made it even more appealing but the silver is fine with me.

I'm just iterating what HTC was telling me on the phone, so I guess unless there were some other problems like in your case where you did register before that, I was not aware of it.
You could give HTC a call and tell them if you could get the deal potentially I would believe. It does not hurt to try.

Maybe I didn't get on the list because I registered too early. whatever the reason I didn't need the code anyway, but it means unfortunately I don't have one to give away in this thread.

Yeah well - I signed up for almost everything from HTC. Heck, I even did that last year during the HTC One X fever. But never got any newsletter or fan mail or any such thing from HTC. Not even a lousy, "you are a good customer" email. :crying:

For those of you who are not ordering cause the pre-order was out of stock. Go on this link, it shows out of stock but you can still add it to cart and pay for it, I did that and it worked for me. Try it out if you don't want to wait.

This doesn't happen very often, but i just spoke to a phones4u employee who actually seemed to know what he was talking about, and he replied to one of my questions with "im sorry but i dont know" which implies to me that he aint making stuff up lol. Anyway as i believe he knew what he was on about heres what he said (still take with pinch of salt tho)
"we recieved limited stock on the 11th which we thought were for delivery on the 14th but sony delayed them and we are not allowed to deliver them until the 17th, we are getting more stock on the 17th which will be delivered on the 22nd"
He then went on to tell me that my order was due to be delivered on the 22nd, when i asked if he how much stock they recieved on the 11th he replied
"sorry but i dont know........ i havent had to tell anyone they will be recieving this phone on the 17th, so maybe they haven't allocated them yet"
So there you have it, like i said take it with a pinch of salt but he seemed a lot more 'on the ball' than all the other idiots ive had to speak to. Shame i wont be able to fiddle with it over the bank holiday weekend but nevermind. Post here if you get one thursday.

Just wondering if anyone else's order info has changed??? Mine has finally changed from "awaiting stock" to "preparing for dispatch", still doesnt mean ill be lucky enough to get it tomorrow but heres hoping.... Anybody still showing as awaiting stock?

Yeah that sucks, still on awaiting stock, i suppose i did get loads of cashback on mine though, so an extra few days isnt the end of the world, just sucks so much -.- considering the website states delivery of tomorrow =/

i just checked there site, still dont actually say dispatched yet but my hopes are building as there general next day delivery terms say if ordered by 6pm, and mine changed at 5.09pm..... yeah i seen a post by you regarding cashback..... you're up t 200 aint ya? i only getting 75

Mine is on its way! checked my emails this morning and had an email from DPD to say its been dispatched and due for delivery today!
Phones4U page must have just messed up and not updated.
Roll on 5pm til i finish work!

tracking on the dpd page says its currently at my closest depot and is due for delivery between now and 8pm

not sure about voucher, i think i read it should be with you within a few days.... but can take up to 28.
dont know about the £80 thing

shotgun, i envy you so much right now, i phoned dpd yesterday when tracking showed my phone had started its journey to me, but the guy i spoke to reckoned i couldnt collect it from the depot this morning as it wont arrive there until tomorrow, so far according to tracking it left leceister 6pm yesterday, birmingham hub 2 about 8pm, birmingham hub 3 at 9ish n thats it, arrrrrgh........
