My HTC Incredible is on its way, Im upgrading from my Samsung i910... WinMo has always been my thing, but Android seems so much nicer, going to be a learning curve, but any advice or ideas will be welcomed

I think different dates are scheduled for different areas of the country.
I live in North Carolina and Verizon expects our shipment for online orders by the 29th of May.

It's a canned response. I called Verizon about it - I ordered my phone on the 9th and it never came. lol
If you were to order it today you should see it shipped out by 6/4 according to the detailed specs of the phone. 6/1 if you just look at the Verizon line-up of phones.
It's all confusing. Verizon really should do a better job when launching a new phone!

Customer service told me it was no issue to overnight me one so I went ahead and sold mine. When I called asking where my phone was they apologized and said they meant to say it was backordered. I learned this the looooooong and hard way. I've spent literally hours on the phone with them and was supposed to receive 3 seperate calls from supervisors bc of how many times they screwed up yet they only called back once. They also told me it was $269 w/ a 1 yr contract, then processed the order and then texted me saying it was $369 w/ a Mail in Rebate. When I called back saying that's not what I was originally told- they told me in a condescending voice 'I can cancel the order if you would like and try to come to a resolve on your issue, but it will extend the wait time of shipping your phone'. What choice do I have but to suck it up bc I NEED this phone for work?? hahaha I just have to laugh at how much it sucks at this point

I guess there is a positive to every negative.
But i still think its nasty to see that.

You are going to have a difficult time finding a store that sells Sprint service/phones. Most stores do not carry anything Sprint at all, so you've just got to keep trying to call different stores to find one that does.

Just in case you really need to know. June 19th is when tmo anounces the slide through commercials and they r having a father's day special event they r going to announce too. Not as big a deal as everyone thinks.
So why are they opening 2 hours early,and where the heck is my froyo,tmo rep told mewe'de have it on launch,I need apps2sd,my phone is outta storage,i'm going to curse someone at tmobile out.htc and google should have never let tmobile have any say in this device cause they oveloaded it with bull**** you cant delete,im so friggin angry,I just want control over my phone and nobody can even root it,AGGGHHHHH!!! Sorry just had to get that out.

A friend of mine who works for TMO told me that they are rolling out a new store design. They've had several of the concept stores open in certain test markets for almost 3 years. I worked for them when they were planning these interactive and user friendly stores with video tech support on site.
While I think it's cool and all, I'm more interested in them improving network service and offering phones that aren't outdated the moment you slip your SIM in.

all i have to say that is if a Tmo rep told you froyo would be ready when the phone comes out, promptly insert your foot in his a** with EXTREME prejudice!!
Dispite contrary belief, not all T-Mo reps know every single thing that T-mobile is up to. Some of us actualy have a life outside of work. Also, we are not all out to give everyone the shaft. Some of us realy try to help people the best we can. I get chewed out quiet often for going "too far".

As donepate stated, you are speaking to another human, NOT T-mobile as an object. If that rep heard a rumor online he could have easily passed it along to you. Thats why unless there is OFFICIAL news from T-mobile you should always take information about upcoming releases of updates/phones with a grain of salt. Typically T-mobile employees know about the official launches barely before they launch to avoid any leaked information and or upsets if deadlines aren't met.
If you've read the official HTC comments however you will know that its stated to have FROYO within a number of 2010 Android phones within the year of 2010. That is as specific as it gets however.

Official release date for the slide is the 16th. They have not even told the reps much. It could be lower prices for a day, a giveaway in the stores, or the planets may be comming into alignment. Its all guesses for now. I am fairley sure that its slide related in some way though. Just have no idea what it is. If I get any info i'll pass it along.

it is a big deal and it has nothing to do with the slide per se on june 19th we are having free phone day which means you can choose any phone in the store including smart phones for free with new contract or line extension.

They have a soft launch (June 2nd) and a hard launch which, shown to me on the computer from a t-mobile rep, is the 16th not 19th

They are going to announce the Galaxy S on the 19th. The Galaxy S will go on sale sometime in July ... just got that from a VERY reliable Tmobile source. I'm probably going to be sending the slide back ... my G1 will tide me over till the Galaxy comes around.

I would be very very very very careful dealing with bestnydepot, I wouldn't trust them with my CC.
I called bestnydepot after wondering the exact same thing. I talked to the representative on the phone, and he stated that the price is accurate, but that they just happened to run out of stock earlier that day and would not have more coming in for another 2-3 weeks. Riiiight.
Needless to say, I ordered from L2D2 half an hour later. The price is still fantastic and I gain the peace of mind knowing that I'm dealing with a much more reputable company.

So far so good. I have not got my unit yet but I ordered it on Friday afternoon thinking it would not ship until Monday but later that day received a tracking number showing Tuesday. So from a processing time perspective I give them excellent service. I will let you know how it goes when the product arrives.

Yep, ordered it at 2:30 and got the tracking number slightly before 6. As long as its a Note in the box and not a brick, I will be happy.
Arrggh, if only I had known of L2D2 earlier that afternoon. Oh well, I decided to pay $15 for UPS 2 Day shipping, so it should be in my hands by Wednesday.

I gave L2D2 a call and they said any order made over the weekend has stock and they're shipping mine out today. If you call them, they can look it up by name and maybe even make you an account so you can check it yourself.
Thanks for the advice. I called them up just now and they told me it would be shipped out later this evening. If you chose UPS, the pick up time is usually around 5:30-6 PM EST.

Since I paid for two day air shipping, though, I'm fully expecting to have the phone on Wednesday, regardless of when it's getting picked up.

USPS says priority should get here on wednesday, thursday if the pickup time it later... the race is on!!!
Left my local bestbuy last night and a couple blueshirts there told me that they would be releasing the S7 and S7 Edge this Monday. I was pre-ordering and asked when it came out and they told me I could pick it up on monday.
So if you preordered from bestbuy i'd recommend calling them and seeing if they are also releasing it early.
I don't know how truthful BestBuy is. I got my pre-ordered T-Mobile S7 on the 3rd of March and was told by my local BestBuy store that they had the Otterbox cases in stock for the S7. So I drive over to the store and find out that they have the cases in stock but won't be releasing them until the 11th of March because that's when the phones will be released. I will NOT be going back to BestBuy again!

I bought a surround sound system from them a month ago. He told me i was gonna get a discount and hed hook me up with an hdmi and optical cable. Then he was tryin to talk me into joinin their "rewards program" it was like every $100 you get a dollar or something. I was like, "it'd take me so long, im good" but i bought a tv a couple months before so he said i could get credit for that aswell. So finally i said, "well, your not gonna send me a bunch of emails if i sign up are you". He said, " haha noooooo"!
Long story kinda shortened.
I paid full price for the SS system.
I got a wopping $5 off a used hdmi cable. Which was $20
Paid full price for optical audio cable $25
Then at the end i said oh can we add my tv to the rewards program. (Of course the salesman left so i was left with some kid to check me out)
He said, "oh man we'd have to call customer service and i dont think theyd do it anyway"

The following weeks im flooded with best buy emails, i unsubscribe at least 10 times with no stop to it. Finally have to call a 800 number and scream at them to make it stop.

big thread on reddit about this: multiple best buy mobile employees confirmed it, and users who went there confirmed it. people got calls to pickup on monday too.
pisses me off bc i chose shipping instead of in store (for the first time ever with best buy) bc i was worried they'd run out of stock before my preorder was fulfilled, so i wouldn't be able to walk in friday and get it. did shipping, thinking they'll def have enough in a warehouse.
yeah, and now they release early lol. so mad.

They had no idea what I was talking about, and reaffirmed the 11th as the release date. This was yesterday, today my GF got a call that our phones have arrived and that we can pick them up tomorrow.

Same thing happened to me. They had a Samsung rep there and I even showed him the phone, still wouldn't sell it. I went to U.S. Cellular, AT&T and even the new T-Mobile store in my town but neither had cases yet. Verizon store had the stuff out on display already so i bought my case and screen protector there.
I wondered who the *#&@ cares if I buy a piece of plastic for a phone that isn't "out yet"? I am giving you money, why do you care?! It was dumb as f.

Just got off the phone with my local BestBuy, they said that it should be no problem. She mentioned it would be FCFS based on available stock, dunno if this means you can get one shipped later, or if you are sol.
Well...that's kind of strange. The Best Buy website now shows the expected release date for the phone on my order as: "Null"?
The other 2 items still show expected release of 3-11-2016.
Edit: They just now changed the expected release date to 3-7-2016.

Yeah. I ordered two actually, got two seperate emails. I tried looking them up, but it says the name and phone number are wrong, didnt say anything about order number being wrong.
Edit: nevermind, it was under my old name. My att acct is kinda wonky haha.
