Cannot flash from sd card but can flash from USB

Hi i have flashed my HD2 from a sd card for more than 30 times but now I am unable to flash using my sd card.
I get into the boot loader mode with leoimg.nbh on sd card, but in the bootloader mode white colored loading screen appears for some fractions of a second and returns to tri color screen.
I was using Ozrom on the device last when i discovered this problem.

Update :
Now i cant flash from usb also. First I was able to flash from usb but now I cannot.
-Tried using a new sd card and formatted with fat32 file system. Problem still exists...
-Checked the file name and extensions its not "leoimg.nbh.nbh".
-Tried flashing just leoimg.nbh on card
-tried flashing with 5 different roms from different cooks
-tried renaming the file to capitals LEOIMG.nbh
-updated the hspl to hspl2 2.08
Problem is not solved.

There may be a problem with the sd card. Are you still using the same card you have used before? If so, try formatting the card (FAT32) or try a different sd card if you have one.
You can of course continue using usb, sd card flashing is only really needed in order to remove hspl.

Maybe is your card corrupted, try to format it in FAT32...

Mate, you only need to flash from sd card when you cant flash from usb. I dont know why you are getting this error but dont worry too much. Did you name the file correctly (leoimg)? It's easy to make a mistake here. Some people rename the file to leoimg.nbh - you dont need to add the .nbh. It's already an nbh file - so you would end up with leoimg.nbh.nbh
Lastly dont flash a 2.10 rom via sd card or you will end up stuck with an spl that you cant change

i know about the file extensions and file names...i am flashing since 3 years from memory card....i am not a newbie..tell solutions other than the problems occured to noobs...like rename error..format memory card stuff...i want some solution other than that..

sorry but thats lol... shouldnt u be using phone on bussiness trip instead of messing with it?

i did not said that i have business trips..i travel a lot..so getting bored i start messing with it...LOL

Same problem
Guys, indicating same problem - SD reformated, still same situation. Tried also re-flash shipped ROM etc., but nothing helped. Doesn't work also on original SD (2 gigs).

does your "loading" screen in your bootloader comes and goes very fast???

Try capital letters LEOIMG.nbh etc etc

try install 2.08.hspl, that also happened to me. fixed when i install 2.08.hspl from HSPL2.

tried capital letters LEOIMG.nbh also installed 2.08 hspl2. problem is not solved....

I have this problem as well.... I have hslp2 2.08 I TRY'de IT WITH 3 DIFF SD CARDS 4GB 8GB 16GB fat 32 AND NOTHING!!!!!!! ANYONE knows how to fix this????!?? I have NEVER been able to flash from sd I have a tmo usa hd2 maybe using task29 could fix it but it doesNT!!!

I always used to flash my diamond from internal storage when i had it. Got my HD2 and carried on flashing from SD for my first 2 or 3 ROMs and then it stopped working having the same thing as you. As if it tries to read the .nbh then goes back to the bootloader. I havent let it worry me as im nearly always next to a pc when im flashing a new ROM (have to be now), but I would be interested to find the answer as well.

but no one is really interested to reply here peovide a solution.....infact they are advising to flash from a pc...but i want to flash from a sd card

Just keep using USB, less lilkely to go wrong anyway

this mean they have to be in the root that is the first thing u see when u browse the card not in any other folder like andriod

I had this problem for a while. even though all my files were on the root of my SD card I got the same message.
try this...
on your root of SD card, create a folder called android. copy(not cut or move) all files over to that folder.
so now you have all files on your root SD and in android folder on your root SD.

I was having the same problem. The rootfs.img is on the root of the drive. It boots up fine when it creates the data store but if try to boot again it fails on the that error.

Android 2.1 has to be in the ROOT e:/haret.exe also rootfs.
Android 2.2 (froyo), al the files have to be in the root folde from SD card like e:/android/haret.exe
I had the same problem.
When you have more then one 2.2 froyo versions on you phone, you need to rember that when you want to load, lets cal it froyo 1 you need to name the folder Android and the other one lets call it froyo2 name it diferent. If you dont do that and you select froyo 2 to boot IT WILL load the files from froyo 1 sinse that folder is still named android. try it out and you will see.

If you read the steps 1 to 4 you cant go wrong. step 5 is not really nessesary i think.

hi im trying to install miui nd now in MAGLDR113 i attach my hd2 with pc and i formetted my card ( my bad ) and now im trying to copy rom in card but its not working its always says bad path happing many times but still same now how i copy my rom in card .... and now my card is empty with no file inside what i do next please someone help and one more now when i start my mobile everytime this MAGLDR come nothing else not my omega rom just coming always this MAGLDR please somehlep thanks alot in advance

only chance to get it work is to use an cardreader.
if haven´t one you can reinstall an wm6.5 rom.
then copy android.zip on sd card and reinstall magldr.

What you can do is, flash the official windows mobile rom. It should solve the problem.
If not , try using with new sd card or without sd card.
if that don't solve the problem, well then there went something significantly wrong!.

Flash clockwork, mount usb storage in that

sd card
Format (32) ur card, if u cant do it with Gparted (live cd).

Hi,
Did you format your card with windows 7 ?
Phone will not work with that.
Use a card reader and try formatting the card with g-parted(google)

hi all i'm trying to install a nand build with magldr everything works fine and i follow the right steps untill i say to cwm load zip file from sd.
tried several roms with unpacking the intrd file with unrar/winzip/7zip
nothing works because my phone doesn't see the file
also tried to install the rom with and without system ,meta info,boot
only boot,only initrd.
tried everything only thing that did work was an old android build through the daf method.
who can help me and give me detaild clue's to let my phone work with a nandr build.
please help me!!!!

Hi,
I notice in your sig ,3.03 HSPL.
You should try with 2.08 HSPL.
The other thing is when you download the ROM,it comes as a zip file.DO NOT extract it.Just place it on the root of your sd card.
Before starting anything,BACKUP YOUR DATA.
Download THIS TOOL (Don't forget to thank him for his work)
Flash radio...download HERE Enter bootloader:hold down volume button when you power on phone.When you are on tri-color screen,insert cable to usb.When screen changes from "serial"to "usb",proceed.
Open HD2 Installer:
Task 29 (Enter bootloader:as above)
HSPL 2.08 HSPL (Enter bootloader:as above)
MAGLDR (Enter bootloader:as above)
(when magldr has loaded,power on and enter by holding power button until you see magldr screen.)
Repartition according to ROM requirements.(via number 5 usb flasher)
(when this is done,Go to ad recovery>advanced>Partition SD Card.1024m with 0 swap)Remember: ALL data on your SD Card will be erased!(Therefore,back it up)
Then go to ad recovery and wipe data,cache partition,and dalvik(advanced).
Then go to install zip from sd card
Choose zip from sd card (which you should have placed on the root of your sd card,using a card reader)
After installation,reboot.
Give it time.
Some ROMS take 15-20 minutes to install.

Why the hell are you asking for help when you obviously havent even bothered to read a god damn thing?
Where did it tell you to extract the zip file??????
Please stop creating topic before even reading the simplest of instructions in the rom thread or any for the guides or stick topics, all your doing is cluttering up the forum for people who bother to look for the info.

when i put the zip fil in my root en through cwm go to install zip file from sd card he doesn't see any zip or other file so thath is my problem.after doing all you said my phone says now E:failed ro mount /sdcard(no such file or directory)
E:can't mount /sdcard
any advice?

Use a different sdcard or try properly formatting it. Use Panasonic sdformatter full+overwrite and size adjustment on.
Also task29 your device then re-install magldr.
Also you saif you read topics but you didn't read them properly otherwise you wouldn't be trying to extract the cwm zip file folders.

used panasonic all you said but device says still can't mount sd card and i'm not in position to put in ohter sd card all shop's are closed here?
can still flash the old rom with darkforces method
and my sd card is recosnisged with that build .
is this sdcard prob after all thiss trouble?
herefor (last week)device did see my sd card

Hi,
I read somewhere that when the sd card cannot be recognised,it might be something to do with the VERSION of recovery you have.
Try to use the toolkit to DOWNGRADE recovery and see if that is successful...

i downloaded taboonay 1.1 and moved the file to my root on SD card but when I go into clockworkmod and go to install zip from SD card I open it and the only thing I see is lost dir. No zip file at all can someone help me

Put the ROM in the LOST folder. (mnt/external_sd/LOST)

well I tried it but still same outcome I don't know what is going on any more ideas guys

CWM commonly has trouble reading some SD cards. Either try formatting it in a phone, or try a different card.

finally got it guys it was the file name it was labeled taboonay 1.1.zip; i had to rename it without the semi colon thanks for all your help
