USB host? - Streak 5 General

I can't find a proof data that Dell Streak support USB _host_
Does somebody know it for sure?
If yes, could it support at least usb keyboard/mouse and external HDD without some kind of hacks?

You can use blutooth keyboard http://www.streaksmart.com/2010/06/dell-streak-supports-bluetooth-keyboards.html
how would you connect usb devices with cable?

So, let's imagine we sucessfully connected Keyboard and Mouse as Bluetooth HID devices.
But, sorry, it's not discover whether does it have USB host (!) or not.
The question is:
-will we have ability to have acess via USB to our USB storages (any, HDDs, DVD/BD drives, Flash drives)
-will we have ability to use USB peripheral devices like (additional) USB video cameras, printers, USB-Ethernet devices, etc (after got drivers for it)?

USB Pen

Hi!
Is it possible to connect a USB Pen to the magician and read/change its content?
Tanks!
No, don't think so, it doesn't allow USB host control, just slave (ie can connect it to a PC as a slave, but not control other USB devices).

Thank you!

Mini USB host Controller

Can our mini USB ports be used to connect things like usb flash drives, I know it cannot by default but doesnt the samsung and qualcomm chisets support this? I know windows CE supports it as well.
I don't think the Hermes can host USB. There's a newish protocol called USB on the go that's meant to allow devices to communicate without a host, but nobody seems to use it.
Personally I would be happy with a bluetooth usb host device.
no, tytn doesnt have usb host functionality, this has been answered many times in different posts.

[Q] USB on the go

I was reading all your discutions, but I'm not clear with the USB ports. You can use them to acces data from them? It has USB on the go?
Thank you
i'd like to know this as well - anyone ?
Two USB ports on the keyboard dock, and they support:
Nearly all usb storage devices (incl. external hardrives)..
Xbox360/PS3 controller
Mouse
On the tablet itself, there's no USB port but a micro SD slot.

[Q] Keyboard/Mouse

Hi.
I haven't yet tried to use a keyboard/mouse on a tablet before. Is this something USB otg can facilitate if I plug one in?
Does Android support keyboard/mouse in the first place?
Yes it does, and as far as I know, it always has. Even on your phone, if you connect a regular bluetooth mouse or keyboard, they should work out of the box.
Edit: clarification: most phones don't have OTG capabilities, so that's why I mentioned bluetooth, as it's the only way to have those peripherals connected. Devices which support OTG should work with regular USB peripherals.
I wonder if the N10 will somehow create a new market for micro-usb components, so people won't need a OTG cable.

Dual OTG cable for PC and keyboard: will this work?

Hi guys,
due to a the touchscreen no loger working I need to connect my Moto X Style simultaneusy to:
My Windows PC (ADB)
External keyboard (OTG)
So I basically need two USB input (one for PC, one for the keyboard) and one microUSB out to the phone.
I found this:
Before I pull the trigger, I'd like to know: will it work? I'm hesitant because I already tried with a "self-powered desktop USB hub" connected to a simple OTG cable and it didn't work (the keyboard work, but the PC doesn't see the phone).
Thanks!
Well, I connected a wireless keyboard with touchpad with the OTG cable and it worked both things, I don't know if your mouse and keyboard are wired and if they draw too much power to the phone, I connected once a portable HDD via otg and it worked, but for a minute or two, it drawed too much power...
I don't think you can have two usb host devices connected to each other (the phone and the pc). if it was a keyboard and mouse that would work.
