[Concept] Echo IM - Android Software Development

(If this is posted in the wrong section, please move to the correct section for me :-(, Sorry and Thanks!)
(& I'm aware they're talking phones! 0 )
I made this concept because I was intrigued by how I would want a IM application to look like. It's not exactly finished but it's somewhat how I'd like my IM to feel. (It might be too dark) I love designing and well this is the result!
NOTICE:- Image heavy and must require a desktop browser, and it's very DARK!

I posted this over at Phandroid, but I wanted to share this design with the XDA community, since it's more developer orientated. I design purely in my free time and haven't took any classes for designing, but rather all self taught.

I'm very much loving the GUI there, beautiful.

Haha, thanks! The UI is sleek yet I wanted to make it seem house-styled, so everything wasn't out of place. I think I'll work on more of this concept since I thought it was very fun
If anyone has any ideas, than please shoot them, I'd love feedback and more things to design.

Here's the next preview!
This was purely just to mess around with animation.

[App][WM6.5][13 MAY 09]Titanium Theme Manager [Dev PLACEHOLDER]

This is a project in development, the idea is to have a centralized place to switch themes from, without having to re-install them one on top of the other, creating ugly cluttering and chaos lol. No ETA at all on this, but sounds fairly easy to accomplish (lol see screenshot) Subscribe to this post for future release.

once this gets off the ground it would be awesome to see a repositiry that the app (or maybe an alternate app that feeds the theme chooser app the detail) can download themes from. Just an idea and I am not suggesting I have any idea how to accomplish it. Kinda a themes app store if you will.
you are really a king into themes *.*

[ROM(possibly)]Testing the waters for interest

Hey guys, first off I would just like to say this: Thanks to all of you devs who make all of this possible. I have a customized version of Fresh 2.0d that I have been using and I just want to see if it would be worth posting. I want to get into the business of creating my own rom, and I feel that this would be the best way to get my feet wet with this whole thing. This IS based on Fresh 2.0d so all of the credit goes to Flipzmode and the few people that I took stuff from to make this rom unique enough. My hope is to start with this and begin learning more about the rom making aspect of android so I can soon actually contribute my own work to the community.
This will be/is based on Fresh 2.0d (thanks for the amazing rom flipz!), with some theme elements from JsChiSurfSo and Gregalous. I'm not claiming any of this as mine, It is just a compilation of these people's great work.
I have screenshots below, so check them out, and if this is a bad idea then just tell me so, and I will have a moderator close this thread and it will be gone. But if you like this idea and would like to test out my rom send me a PM and I will reply with a download link. Thanks everyone!

Enjoyed my time, but...

I haven't been on this forum too long or posted that much, but I have certainly come to respect it and all the people here. Very classy group of folks.
However, I'm switching my attention to iOS. Why? Good question. I'm unemployed and really need to get a job. My 13 year career at a university was limited to mostly COBOL mainframe work and PeopleSoft SQR. As such, I pretty much shoe-horned myself into a limited skill set; and there just aren't jobs out there for me. Trust me, I've been looking for a year and really don't want to relocate just yet.
I'm taking a gamble, but I have seen a few job postings for mobile developers and they seem to be leaning towards iPhone/iPad. So that's the direction I'm heading.
Now, I won't lose my skills as a Android developer and I won't abandon my Android development, but I'll probably devote 85% to iOS and 15% to Android.
Thanks to all here that have helped me and thanks to all for a great forum. I'll be watching you guys and check-in every so often. It's been fun

ICS theme for Vibrant (MIUI)

Seeing as nobody liked the stupid joke I had previously posted I figured I would at least make some use of this thread by sharing a really nice MIUI ICS theme I found. It was made by "cgvelmax" who is a member of this very forum! His theme which is designed around ICS is dubbed "Black Ice" and is definitely worth a try. It is constantly updated and will give your phone a new, cool, sleek look. Check it out, you can download the latest version here... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1318364&page=1. If you like it give him a thanks. He deserves it for his excellent work!

Yes, with missing link it looks really weird Sorry for that, it's fixed now
One thing I have to say - you really depend on many customization options... totally different type of usage if compared to what I expect from my Z3C.
I only use stock apps, stock launcher and no serious mods except some Xposed ones which are essential for me to use my phone daily.
Maybe it's because it was always difficult for me to set up everything and I had no time to test different setups... I'm that kind of lazy guy
Anyway I don't really have too much to say about your setup but you provided nice description of your apps and settings!
'Cause I was bored waiting for the next beta of MM, I decided to implement your suggestions. You're right, these make for a nice Android experience on my Z3c. I'm curious to see what effect there is on battery.
