Willing to do some comparison videos

Hey guys,
I have a good quality webcam, some filming experience, good lighting, a YouTube account, a lot of free time (unemployed) and a Nexus One right next to a Nexus S. Would any of you guys be interested in me making some comparison/Q&A videos?
Start firing questions at me.
Go for it.
Make a day light/indoor comparison of the screens.
Have two heavily flash based sites load on both.
Take pics of the same thing with both cams indoor and outdoor and compare.
I would prefer u wait for Nexus 1 to to get gingerbreadified

How's the camera on the Galaxy Note?

I think for the most part the reviews have said the camera is pretty decent, but how does it compare to the iPhone 4S? I think the iPhone 4S may have one of the best if not the best camera on a smartphone. Does anyone here know of a detailed comparison between the two phones? Since the Galaxy Note have essentially the same camera as the Galaxy S2, a comparison like that would be fine as well.
If you're interested in S2 camera comparison vs IPhone 4S, you may check this out.

The best camera on a smartphone is Nokia N8. Nothing can beat Finnish queen - especially in terms of sound quality in videos, and still pictures.
I have seen a lot of sample footages from Note on youtube, and I have to say - there are some issues with autofocus, and in my opinion there is something wrong with microphone (too sensitive, might be a problem when you decide to record something on windy day). LED does fair job, even in completely dark room. Shooting in poor light conditions is okay - not as good as on N8, but details can be seen. I also noticed, that camera adjust exposition little bit slower compared to SG II. I am still not sure, if both devices (SGN and SGII) are using the same camera.
For me, the biggest problem is a way to hold this device and shoot pictures. I still didn't buy my Note yet (looking for some operators to release Note on contract in Poland), but I played with it in shop. Holding is not a problem, you can even put it into pocket, but shooting a pictures or making video might be tricky. With Nokia's I was able to hold it with one hand, and for example took fancy pictures from ground level, etc.
Question to lucky Note owners - can you take nice pictures from close distance? For example - can you take a picture of a book, and read the letters easily?
With regards
TT.

Absolutely. With my Xperia X10 I had to put it into macro mode, with the Note, it just gets on with it and focuses flawlessly.
In response to the OP, I think the 4S and the Note will be pretty even in good light, but the Sony backlit sensor used in the 4S would win in poor light.
Having said that, I took some video last night by the stage at a live concert, and the Note rocks.

2 things . The BEST CAMERA ON ANDROID phone is HTC AMAZE !!
That thing takes better pictures than my wife's canon . I played with all settings and then decided to leave it on auto and I have perfect picture EVERY Time !!
Phone is peace of crap . poor battery life , it gets hot after less than 3o minutes of use . Second thing is if you want to take text photos use scan2pdf mobile app . I use it all the time . Don't have the galaxy note yet its in the mail
Note's camera is not good compared to nokia N8, yes its true.
Note's camera is better than, sensation xe, sgII, iphone, se and xl. What else you want more? Note is almost ahead of every other top selling brands. But I am not satisfied with note's camera quality, especially under dim light, but still ahead, you can compare it in gsm arena.

You filmed it the wrong way. Thumbs down
Yes.. That vertical letterbox makes it unwatchable. I only lasted a few minutes. Too distracting
I may not be a professional youtuber (yet ) but the best advice I can give you is maybe get your camera/camcorder a tripod so the camera is still and do it that way otherwise very strange but great video!
Was this meant to be a joke?

S7 Video Recording FUBAR: Samsung's Biggest Mistake?

When I first picked up my Galaxy s7 Edge on Sprint, I wrote a post about poor quality, lack of stability, and a lot of people told me I was imagining it, or put it down to YouTube. Now watch this...
https://youtu.be/gF_PRYBFS84
That is a video I took in FHD60 (i.e. 1080p and 60 frames per second) - skip forward to 8 seconds. Unacceptable isn't the word. I should add, most of the time it's not as bad as this - usually just a really jarring stutter, but it's done this a few times,
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PnRAHEE-nB4
This one is 4K. Not as bad on the face of it, but the weird motion blurring and blockiness present is ...well, it doesn't feel very 4K. I also experience some skips/frame drops when filming in this mode.
I took approx 130 10-30 second videos over the weekend and skipping is present in most of them. I've even got to the point where I try and film everything twice (panning across a landscape) so i can hopefully minimize the likelihood of skipping.
This is my second S7 edge, after the first one developed a dead pixel within the first 2 weeks. I've updated the firmware to G935PVPU2APD3.
From what I've read online in forums, one user claimed that on a live chat , Samsung are refusing to admit it publicly, but there is nothing they can do to improve it. I believe this is a problem mainly with the US Snapdragon 820 chip - but I dunno, it could be an issue with the International version too - either way, I'm not happy but it looks like we have to put up with it.

Hi Dave,
I have the Snapdragon 820 processor and camera is SONY_IMX260
I've seen pieces online that say the Snapdragon fares worse than the Exynos in terms of performance, so it could be only really noticeable on those phones
Indeed, am no pro snapper so I cannot comment.
But the picture quality has been perfect on my device.
Am going to try this recording on the way home in the car now though (something i have yet to do)
I'll upload to YouTube for you to view if you like.
Any specific settings you used?

It happens with FHD60 most commonly. Panning the camera makes it most notable... that's pretty much it!
Just a question.. you are recording internally or on sdcard?
I don't think there's any way that is a hardware issue. Seems like something is going way wrong with the video recording on the software level - I'd be money it is digital stabilization going haywire. Was that turned off? If so, maybe it's broken.

camera thread

It has best camera according to dx0
I think we'll have first highest scoring HTC Device that is explained by Dxomark, as being HTC Users we expressed constantly dissatisfaction about camera up till now.

We've all heard this line before..... First with the UltraPixels and then with the HTC 10.. Both disappointed most.. They need to get this one right with the first release and get positive press or it will go down as another fail.. I ordered one and can't wait to see how it compares with my Pixel XL and GS8.

You will not be disappointed. They solved their color-matching issues. This is quite good.

Definitely want to see a low-light motion blur comparison against Galaxy S8, Galaxy S7, "Google" Pixel, and HTC 10. Full light, they will all be outstanding or at least more than adequate... it's the low light shots that are the differentiators, more specifically the low light with motion and minimal blurring.
Also curious if HTC has moved toward time stamp filenames for photos and videos or if they're still using cryptic filenames.

I don't honesty judge based on the article thoughts I rather compare both. Both phones are indeed head to head. I can hardly see any difference unless you go for a hair splitting and go pixels to compare.
HTC did it. I am so glad for them.
Already - accidentally opened a new thread and posted two photos here.
Will try to get some more better shots soon, Here the outdoor temperature revolves close to 40 C and will hit high 40's quite soon. So outdoor strolling is not an option anymore unfortunately.

hmmmm no one give Sony credits they are using sony cameras... Samsung front and htc google pixel back and front htc u11 using back and front lens sensor
so this credits belong to sony reather then htc,sam or google
atleast sam have the courage to say they are using it htc keep it low profile so they dont lose reputation in fact this years have been struggling in camera department:silly:
@altvolt74 I personally apologize for ruining Sony reputation. Since my post Sony stock took a dive and now everyone thinks its not them who makes HTC cameras. Seriously you must be one honest loyalist. I am giving you credit for that. You cheered me up
Can we have photos in here please
They use Sony Lenses. The Software is programmed by HTC and is a huge part of it.

Just received mine today. Ordered yesterday from Carphone warehouse.
Obviously a crap subject but this is the very first photo. I'm impressed with the phone on a whole, goodbye LG g6 and hello HTC 11.
Will take plenty more photos over the weekend and post.
Seems like camera has an issue with video recording, it shows white screen if you use digital zoom during the recording:
Also, should I make a separate thread for this?
Taken when the sun was disappearing in the evening. Will try to upload a full res link.
The clouds have practically no noise in them, well in my my eyes.
