Resistive or Capacitive Touch...? - myTouch 3G Slide General

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1RmjJnsoCpM&feature=related mentioned a "passive" screen, so the MT3GS has a resistive or capacitive screen?
If it's resistive, that means there's no multi-touch?

its capacitive. try using a stylus on the touch screen and it wont work

It's capacitive. Supports multi-touch and all.

Physically change the Touch HD screen to a capacitive screen

I was just thinking if it would be possible to change the whole Touch HD screen to a capacitive screen just like on the iphone or would this be impossible? because you can get your screen changed if there is a crack so why not make it a capacitive screen.
no you can't.
you'll have to provide drivers into the spl and that's kind of impossibile.
apart from drivers, you also need to change the hardware, it's not simply plugging in a screen.

Capacitive touch screen Stylus?

Has anyone tried a capacitive screen stylus yet? There are quite a few on ebay around £2-3. Would much prefer to use a stylus than finger. Always carry a pen/stylus in my top pocket for my HD.
I bought one (from play.com) and it really doesn't work very well imo, it's too "sticky" which makes it close to unusable for swipe gestures. It also doesn't register simple presses as reliably as a finger.

Capacitive Touch Sensitive Buttons on Epic not Sensitive. Any Fix?

Is there any way to make the touch sensitive buttons more sensitive to touch because I have to usually tap twice for each button to work.
Thanks
You should probably take it to Sprint and have them replace it. You shouldn't have to do anything to get those capacitive buttons to work well. All 4 of mine work just fine.

[Q] Is it possible to change the type of screen the tablet has

In that if a tablet has a resistive screen can you change it for a capactive screen, if it is obviously the same size and the connector are the same?
Just curious as have an old resistive screen tablet which is cracked but no replacements are available.

Unfortunately no you can not, the electronics are different as is the actual sensing screen itself. Typically the cap sense might be connected/communicating to the main processor via an I2C bus, resistive might also (you can find chips that handle either cap sense or resistive screens), potentially given a lot of work (I have done this once) you can substitute a cap sense screen and interface chip for the res screen and interface chip by intercepting the comms bus between screen interface and processor - this requires extensive redesign and build so for typical commercial items it is not really on.... sorry.

How can input be set to active stylus-only, with capacitive touch disabled?

It's important for note-taking and drawing on stylus devices like the Galaxy Note 3 to ensure that capacitive touch is disabled when using the active stylus, to prevent a palm resting on the display from disrupting the writing etc. Note that this is distinct from software attempts at palm rejection.
We can see that this is done in Ubuntu tablets in standard tools like this by switching off the capacitive touch when the active stylus is detected near the display of the device.
LineageOS is capable of understanding the difference between active stylus input and capacitive touch input -- it displays a little circle pointer when the stylus is near the display on a devices like the Galaxy Note 3, for example. So, how can LineageOS be made to disable the capacitive touch input either
when the stylus is near to the display or
by some manual switch that disables capacitive touch input while leaving active stylus input enabled?
The goal may be similar to S-Pen Only, but this no longer appears to work on modern versions of Android/LineageOS.
So, how can input be set to active stylus-only, with capacitive touch disabled?
