Howto boost sound volume

I have a MDA Vario. I would like to boost the sound volume. Is it possible to boost the volume in the windows register?
Thnx
I found some keys. The keys:
\\\registry\HKLM\Software\HTC\AUDIOGAIN(x)\
Speaker uplink volume
Headset uplink volume
Where (x) is nothing or 0, 1, 2
My speuker uplink volume was set at 26, I change that with 50, I think my speaker goes a bit harder, but I'm not sure..
Does anyone know if it really works, or has different techhnics?

edit which one ? AUDIOGAIN or AUDIOGAIN0/1/2 ???
Any tweak available ? I have just installed the MS Voice Command, but the voice come out from the wizard is too quiet, I cannot hear clearly even I set the volume to MAX, I believe there should be some reg key can make it louder, and also the mic gain level, THanks if someone knows and post here.

I agree. I would really be interested in learning how to make MS Voice Command louder without impacting system sound (if possible).
Thanks,

i've had problems with microphone in my wizard. basically, people complained, that they can't hear me very well. i also found these registry keys, did some tests and changed RECEIVE_UPLINK_VOLUME and EARPHONE_UPLINK_VOLUME values to CC. after that change, microphone sensitivity got better and didn't receive any more complaints.
Eva_d,
What do you mean CC?
I have "0000 18" and "0000 19" repsectively.

MSVC louder
to have MS Voice Command woman speak louder, edit these keys :
HKCU\ControlPanel\SoundCategories\VoiceCommand1\InitVol
and set it to 5
HKCU\ControlPanel\SoundCategories\VoiceCommand1\AttenuationCategory
and set it to 1
at least it worked for me (and for others from who I took this tweak)
good luck

same problem here, also I cannot get the following to work, (UPDATED) I can change the setting but using the DONE from the softkey, not the OK on the top.
HKCU\ControlPanel\SoundCategories\VoiceCommand1\InitVol
and set it to 5
On my 9100, it is already 5
HKCU\ControlPanel\SoundCategories\VoiceCommand1\AttenuationCategory
and set it to 1
changed it to 1 and softreset, cannot note any louder..... am I missing something ?
at least it worked for me (and for others from who I took this tweak)
can you post the link to the others forum so we can have more info???? Thanks a lot.

i never had problems with reghacks returning to its previous value, so i'm not sure how can i help you. maybe you should try to switch off (i mean holding power button for more than 2-3 seconds) and on device than soft-reset it with stylus? that's what i always do and maybe this is right solution?

improving sound volume

hello...do you know any solution for improoving the volume of the ringtones? i know that are some keys in registry, but i don't remember them now (with those decibels, etc); 'cause the maximum volume, with an modified ringtone, is still to low. thank you.
Here you have:

Worked for me.
PMoto
thank you very much, really great improvements!. thanx
Welcome.
I install it because I wanted to have a better and louder sound in loudspeaker in calls.
For my surprise, it boosted ringing sounds either.
Well, cool.
It would be better if we could choice what to improve (sound) and how much. But this is better than nothing.

The WOW has some settings, i didn't notice any change in volume, the Lighter and Full boost is just "install". I've been using the Lighter boost since i got my Pure.
is this the version of wow that has the input/output db adjustment?
that the input/output db adjustment you can do it from the registry . but anyway, thank you, very nice .cab file. has done the job that i need it.

[Q] Is there a fix for WP7 Volume Loudness control on HD2

Hello,
Does anyone know if there or how to fix the DFT WP7 HD2 volume control. I have the phone on 1 or 2 and it is still very loud. Love the DFT work. Not complaining just wondering if it can be fixed.
Tks,
CM
Confirmed. The phone is very loud even on 1 volume level.
Same problem here. Seems there a few little bugs with SD cards, wifi and sound but over all its an excellent first ROM. I'm sure over time these bugs will be fixed.
seem t-moblie HD2's suffer from solid message blocks and message text missing too
confirmed. hope they will come out with some solution! but since it's the first build, i do expect some bug will appear.
Use your Reg editor to change the MaxdBAtten value data for 45 to 70 and then reboot your phone.
[HKCU]ControlPanel\Volume
EDIT: Left out the MaxdBAtten

Oops I left that bit out!! It is MaxdBAtten that you change from 45 to 70
Many thanks everyone, can confirm that this works. Only thing it hasn't improved is how loud zune is when playing music through phone speaker - anyone know the reg entry for this?
question: does it fix the sound quality???? i mean, being loud is one thing, but the sound sounds so horrible i cant stand it over 5 in volume... i compared and Android doesnt suffer this, so i doubt its a blown speaker...

this is what i mean, the reg edit has improved sound balance overall, but playing zune though phone speaker over about 14ish on volume setting sounds distorted. i think its still too loud even though system volume is now better.

Will a higher value be less loud, for exemple will 80 be softer then 70. My volume is still loud at 70. Changing the value from 45 to 70 didn't make a noticeble difference.

dsp its not a volume booster.. its a DSP
And that won't work.without kernel work.

Default (system?) sound very loud
Hi,
I'm using this rom now since a couple of days.
I have 1 issue: de 'system sound' (when I touch something) is very loud.
But when I use (virtual) keyboard, the sound is 'normal' (like I set it in configuration).
What am I doing wrong? How can I decrease the volume?
Or is this a bug?
On Eclair (like I purchased my phone) and on the previous ROM (Greenmod POX 1.3), I didn't have this problem.
hmm, try to set the volume in the settings/sound, or the keyboard settings.

I have more info:
It's the sound 'audible selection' which has such a high volume.
When I tick this OFF, than I have no sound when touching the screen.
