Touch HD Home screen

Hi,
I've just been looking at the Touch HD and the Calendar on the home screen allows more than one entry. Unfortunately I'm not a dev so I was wondering if anyone has a ROM in progress with this feature. I know I'm not alone in thinking this a major loss in M2D. If it could include tasks it would be even better, I like the first screen I see to have all the info I need for that day. I know I can use SecondToday (and do) but that's an extra key press from seeing everything I need on screen 1.

i have the elite 3 rom and i can see 2 entry on the home screen. i think that more is not possible with qvga...

have you tried changing the setting in today screen options/items... selecting calender and chinging the setting there?

Calender will only show the next, as in one, per default. You can change that in settings for the home screen

so please show us that we must change.

TF3D, how to hide tabs etc

Well I a coming from a Tilt to a Tilt2 and cant figure out where/how to hide arrage etc TF3d tabs. The app for the Diamond wont work so what can we use to tweak the tabs?

The settings tab has a "Customize Tabs" option that allows both hiding and rearranging.

Maybe I wasnt clear. The diamond TF3d wont run on my Tilt 2 it errors out. I see nothing else that can customze the tabs etc on my Tilt 2 with the default rom still on it.

You misunderstood. You don't need to install anything, just go the the settings tab on TF3D, and you'll have an option to rearrange/remove tabs.

Some developers on this board have created their own tabs, but I'm not sure if they're compatible with the latest builds of TF3D. A good example of a third party tab is the Manila TV Tab.

HD2 Hard to read Quicklink Text

Hi guys, just got my HD2 few days ago,
I haven't modified the rom or anything just applied the following:
Dutty's Taskmanager
DJC Taskbar
Cookie's Home Tab
I don't know how the quicklink or shortcut text looked before but I noticed that the text is not as clear, I mean the white color of the text of homescreen shortcuts is not as clear, I have no problems with reading anywhere else except on the home tab....
The white text is bit hard to read... I don't know if everyone has this problem?... is it normal?... Also is there a way to change the size of the text because I think if I make it like bold text, then it would be much easier to read....
again the Start button text, menu and phone at the bottom (which are quite thick letters) look very fine its just the text of shortcuts and weather temperature...
please let me know if anyone else has similar text that is hard to read..

p.s. this issue is the same as one discussed recently about pixelated home tab...
I am using stock rom with Cookie's Home tab....
If anyone knows about any .cab files that can be installed to solve this problem, please let me know.. .thank you.. again the problem is hard to read quick link text and weather text below the clock on the home screen (when I say hard to read It is somewhat blurry but readable.. this is not a serious issue but it doesn't look very good on the huge screen of HD2) any help will be appreciated thanks....

seems teh screen settings are hidden by default in some roms.
With a registry editor, browse to
HKLM/controlpanel/pen and change the value of 'Hide' from 1 to 0.
Soft reset, then go settings tab - menu - all settings - system and you should see screen settings icon.

Nice, this should go in the tweak list!

While I agree that ClearType makes a huge difference, I second the request to make quicklinks text in Cookie's Home Tab larger or adjustable. ClearType or not, it is quite hard to read as of now.

How to disable appointment on lock screen

I have the T-mobile USA HD2. How do I disable the calendar appointment from appearing on the startup lock screen? I use a password used to unlock.

Excellent question...I've been searching for that also.

Kill 2 birds with one stone!
You could install Co0kie's Home Tab 1.6.1 together with his CHTEditor which should allow for the configuration you require via the multitude of Appointment options.
It's probably a must have cab at any rate, and you'll be killing 2 birds with one stone!
You won't be dissappointed.

you can delete the appointment layer in the lock screen file.

Hi. I quite agree with your praising of CHT and CHTE, but I can't find the option to not show the next appointment on lock screen. Are you sure you don't mean the option in CHTE to hide appointments on the on home screen ("Show appointments")? Or am I looking in the wrong place?

Yep, i had thought the 'hide appointments' would do it for you.
It seems samsamuel post above might be what you are looking for.

OK. I guess cookies home tab does just what the name says, edit the tabs on home screen. Will see if I take a closer look on that editing tool for the lock screen. Just seems a little more work and risk of screwing things up. But then again it might be pretty simple once you go through it

its only a simple file that you are editing. if you can read xml/html them just open the file in notepad and erase everything between the appointment tags.
just keep a copy of thee original and if it doesn't work just change it back. no danger.

Thanks for the advice. I was able to delete the appointment from the lock screen with Chome Visual Editor.

Anyway to add more programs...

add more programs to like the "BAR" where they have the weather, FB, twitter, settings, messages that area?

Settings----> Personalize----> Home screen tabs

It's called the Sense Slider.
You can't really add any additional "Programs" to the slider other than the ones that are already present, except for maybe some additional tabs from T-Mobile and a few other like Call History and Network TV that were created by some members here.
