[Solved] Cyanogen's Orientation nonfunctioning in Home - Nexus One General

I installed CyanogenMod 5.0.6 on my N1 and everything works fine, except there's no auto-landscape / auto-rotate on the home screen.
Is there something extra I need to do to get this to work, or is this a known issue? I searched as much as I could but couldn't find any answers to this.
Thanks!

Hi!
Does someone know a way/app to enable the backlight of the hardwarebuttons on the bottom of the device all the time when the display is on, or even better, in cooperation with the brightness-sensor?
Allready searched but couldn't find anything. Im on Typhoon CM7 (2.3.7)

Thanks. Tried both apps, and both are able to turn them on, but just for some seconds.
Maybe I'll find another solution, but this apps don't work.

At first you need a ROM with CyanogenMod.
Look at the link. Do what there stand. But change the value for "Buttons" in each line to 255 . Look at attached pic. If you have questions pm me.

OK then try this. Istall this app: screebl and use the settings from cyanogen for the displaybrightness and use automatic display brighttness.
I use my hardware buttons only to wake up and shut down my hd2. I use the tablett tweaks from cm. try this its perfekt.

[Q] Hide Soft Keys and use Pie Control

Hi guys,
I would like to hear any recommendations or experience from you. What is the way you used to hide soft keys and use pie control?
I found many apps in the market or this xposed thread. I have rooted D802 and I would like to follow some well working combination instead of spending time to install & try & uninstall.
Thanks a lot for answers.

Install lmt launcher and set pie up.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1330150
Then add this to the bottom of build.prop, it disables the soft keys without an app.
qemu.hw.mainkeys=1
Do it with an build.prop editor to get the right permissions and so on.
Cheers.

Thanks, works great! :victory:
I got only one issue:
I got FC message when connect USB cable, headphones. I think it's related to "LG animation of plugging cable" on the bottom of screen (attachment). Do you have it same? Did you solve it somehow?

Well, that FC bothered me so much that I made Xposed Mod to get rid of it. If you will experience it again, you can get it here.

the display does not rotate properly .... to make it rotate in landscape mode, I have to put it horizontally and tilt it slightly to the right ... I have to use it in a vertical turn it slightly to the right .. and hope to work properly ..
with applications that give the possibility to calibrate the sensors have not had results.
the problem occurred after uninstalling Nova launcher.
I have tried all possible solutions including reinstalling nova launcher ...
I did the flash device but without result
I do not know what more to try .... thanks for the help!

did you reflashed your device and it's still not working? or what do you mean? =)
it can be the sensor, which is broken, or you changed something in the settings. you have your rotation activated in the settings, aren't you?

I think this is a bug in Pie and also happened to me, most of the time this will resolve by a restart

[HOW TO] Use old OnePlus Gestures on OnePlus 5T running OxygenOS 10

I found a pretty easy way to use old OnePlus Gestures on OnePlus 5T running OxygenOS 10
No root required
1. Download this Settings Editor app
2. Open it
3. Choose "System Table"
4. Search for "op_gesture_button_side_enabled"
5. Set its value to "0"
Done! I tested it on a OnePlus 5 and it worked fine. To revert you'll have to set "1" to that property
where download?
Does this app need to be edited? Can you be clearer?
The apk is SETEDIT. and works! Thanks!!!

Yeap. It works flawlesly on 5T
Thks
This should be enabled by default instead of Android's weird gestures .
Funziona perfettamente. Mille grazie
The fact that this can be changed so easily makes me wonder why OnePlus just didn't add a switch to make this an option.
Anyway, thank you very much for saving my Android experience. I loved the classic op gesture because it works perfect even with a bulky protective case while on the other hand the new Google gesture is impossible because I can't touch the screen at the required position with my thumb.
Glad to see that you appreciate my discover
Did anyone realised that this setting is disabling rotation lock feature, too? The small rotation symbol appearing at the corner when you turn your phone is now gone. Hope someone find another hidden setting for this, too

Wow, this is such bs.
Makes me stay on the new gestures. This was one of the things that really made me want oos 10. They could have added that icon in android pie, but they were lazy, samsung had their own gestures in android 9 and they added the rotation button to theirs.
Working. THX.
Anyone else got problems with the activation of goggle assistant while swiping from bottom left or right?

You don't need to use this app if you use the stock gestures? I mean, with stock gestures and no additional tweaking the rotate icon shows up while using the regular gesture navigation right?

Sure, the problem begins when you try to hide navbar and pill. Otherwise it works.

This happen on AOSP rom too, when you try to hide the navigation bar indicator. Tested on crDroid latest version.
I guess this is an Android thing.
