hello. i recently tried to put the windows 6.5 rom on my sprint htc snap s511 and i tried everything. i loaded 2 different versions and it wont get past zero loading the rom , i unlocked everything that i was told to unlock.i know htc sent a firmware update to my phone at the end of march and i lost some functionality,and was wondering if that has anything to do with is .can anyone help me....please

I'm about to buy a new unlocked HTC shadow and I'm interested in updating this device to WM6.1. I understand that the unlocked HTC version has slightly different hardware than the tmobile version....
1- I think there's three ROMs available here.. Will these ROMs work with my unlocked HTC shadow? or are they only meant for the tmobile version? or both?
2- I read on another forum about ROM updates breaking wi-fi functionality. Any info on this?
3- If needed (like returning for warantee), can I go back to the stock 6.0 ROM? How?
4- Can the device be "bricked" by the ROM update process? Does the HTC (non tmobile) device have the bootloader which can be activated by pressing the camera button at startup?

I see you were also on allshadow as well... same answer here from me:
I just purchased an unlocked shadow (2007 version I guess -- htc juno) from newegg.com and it is branded t-mobile on the phone, packaging etc. I am guessing t-mobile dumped all of their stock when the new 2009 version was released.
I updated mine to the Eorfich rom and wifi works just fine. Allshadow has some wiki stuff to help both in upgrading to 6.1 and downgrading back if you feel the need.

Hi there, Im Quiet new to this but i will try and explain what i have done so far.
First off i have a HTC HD2 which was locked to o2 only
Then i have install HSPL for HTC HD2 which allowed me to install the Rom from the officially HTC website, After a month of using this i have realised it is way to laggy and buggy.
So first off i changed to a Rom buy Dan( HTCpedia ), But what i found my phone wont boot past the White HTC logo, Even the orange numbers dont appear in the bottom left corner.
I found the phone boots but only after a hard reset, and wont if just turned on and off.
I've reverted to the official rom but the problem varies.
The rom i ideally want to use is Tom LEO v2 it looks very smooth...
How can i fix my HTC HD2 Booting issue?
Your help would be my appreciated.

Hi peeps.. first post after a long term user..
I recently updated my TD2 to official 6.5 rom. No problems apart from the usual bugs.
Until yesterday when my phone CPW sim free on ORANGE network decided to not find network! I've had this phone for about 10months so i tried different area with no luck. My sim in another phone seems to work fine and an 02 sim works in the TD2..
After useless advice from ORANGE(*manual search, gsm mode etc), they have advised me to take it to CPW..
I've just HARDSPL and installed new RADIO .57 with no luck. Hard resetted it with no luck... and im just restting the rom again with official 6.5 release.
Has anyone had this problem? orange reassure me the imei number is fine with no restrictions and that my account is up and running..
what to do?

Assuming you have verified your network settings and ran the setup wizard (and HR after flashing the ROM) just keep trying different radios.
It is possible to be a hardware problem. I had a Mio A701 with the same simptoms and the radio chip was broken; there were two solutions: replace motherboard or buy a new one. So, I became a HTC owner and A701 is used only for GPS.
It is possible but highly unlikely since it occurred after you changed ROMs.
it occured about two weeks after the update..
tried different roms and radios.. no luck
have just flashed 6.5 with stock 1.33 spl and it booted then its crashed... fails to load pass HTC screen... tri color mode connects to usb but doesnt allow me to flash anything stays on 0%
I Have a Telus HTC hero, after a few months I Threw Cynogen on and tried a few roms, which most certainly bring my hero to life.
Lately there have been problems receiving calls, the phone will not realize it is being called and the caller is directed to my voicemail.
I tried upgrading the radio and a few of the latest radios, switching ROMS and nothing seems to be doing the trick, I can't bring it to Telus because it's been rooted.
Anyone have any suggestions on how I could make the phone look like it was origionally?
I did the one touch root back in the day, and backed up the SD card contents (it was after this that I found out about nandroid )
Also if anyone has a Telus rom apk for 1.5 or 2.1 I would be forever indebted to you if I could get a copy..

Here also the same, for me it's German (EU) 1.31.401.1 or newer i am still searching for. What i need to restore the phones rom to factory state and relock it as i have to send it to repair.
I search since July and have no success. I think the phone is not really good supported outside USA. My Display has the half screen black bug and it's still on my shelf waiting for repair, what i can't request before i have the rom back in factory state.
I just got an iPhone 7 and i am happy with, at last there is an Adblocker available and all pre installed apps can be removed since last (iOS 10) software release. So i don´t need a system which i have to root and lose the warranty anymore.
But i still hope for a RUU file to get the phone repaired and can sell it after for a little amount.
