i've tried vangrieg in call lock..it works with incoming calls(disabled send and end keys)...however when under phone lock in standby mode, the ans/send key is still not disabled...only the end key is disabled...

How to disable auto-redial via talk key on HTC Mogul?

Hi Everyone,
I would like to disable the redial capability of the green talk key on the front of my Mogul. Specifically, I would like to avoid accidental re-dials when my Mogul is bouncing around my briefcase. I have case for my Mogul, but it doesn't protect the talk key. Therefore, I simply want to disable the redial capability of the talk key, but still (hopefully) be able to answers calls by pressing it.
Any ideas?

Use a program to lock like S2U2. I would not do that reg hack to my phone.
Just turn on the keylock from your control panel. It'll lock all buttons except for the power button, but the call button will still work for incoming calls.
I'm with you. I would like to disable the redial also.
I'm currently using the 'lock' function and VJDeviceLock to automatically lock it.
S2U2 has 'holes' in it and I would still get redials. Plus it is a bit of overkill for what I needed.

Yes, that works, but for me the danger is after I've hung up and am still using the pda functions... one false double-tap of the green button and it's star-69-ville.

Turn on HD

Hi all, I would like to ask how can we turn on my HD without press the power bottom. I hope just press the volume bottom to turn on the screen.
Do you mean wake up from sleep or turn on from power off?
Yes, it's very simple : get out the stylus and *voila*, your HD is ready to work

Yes you need a tool to edit the registry.
There are free one's you can download (Google pocketpc registry editor) but I use the one that comes with Resco Explorer.

Sorry, found the way.
wouldnt it be usefull to somehow use the gsensor to wake it? Like shaking.
Your talking, the screen goes black, you need to see the screen and shakes it hard 2 times right in the middle of conversation.
Would it be possible?

Turn on using "Home"

Miland, any ideas on how HTC control the hardware 'Home button' in the registry? I've been wading through for hours trying to find something as I want to do something similar and "unbind" the key. I previously used AEButtonPlus, but the Home key isn't in the list of configurable buttons on that application, I've emailled the author obviously.
So I thought a brute force approach of changing the registry entry would be the way, but finding it isn't easy!

Issues with phone screen and calls

I'm having a couple of issues, just curious if anyone else is experiencing the same.
First, according to the manual, you can activate speaker phone by placing the phone face down. I tried this, and couldn't get it to work. The only thing that got the speakerphone working was pressing the 'speaker' button while in a call. Anyone else get speakerphone to activate by placing the phone face down? Is there a setting to make it do this?
Second, there a section in the manual about making conference calls. It mentions a 'conference mode' that is accessed by going to the phone screen, pressing menu, and selecting the 'conference mode' option. There is no 'conference mode' option in my phone menu. Anyone else see it?
You sure you have the right manual ?
These are typical options for Touch Pro2.

It's on page 59 of the HD2 manual.
Edit: I forgot to mention that the speakerphone is working fine for me.
you can also long press the talk button to get speakerphone working
I already remapped the long press of the talk button to force landscape, so I don't think I can get speakerphone while in a call using the talk button. I know I can press the 'speaker' icon on screen, just curious if anyone was getting the speakerphone to activate by putting the phone face down. Also, anyone else seeing the 'conference' functionality in the menu from the phone screen?

Okay, I calibrated the g-sensor and it worked! Thanks for the tip.
Anyone see the 'conference mode' in the menu of the phone screen, as mentioned in the manual, or perhaps this feature does not exist, and was an accidental carryover from the Touch Pro 2 manual?
How can you remap the button ?

In order to remap the button, you just need to create a shortcut to the program you want to execute (in my case, I downloaded a program that rotates the screen 90 degrees - i.e. landscape), put that shortcut in the Windows directory, and rename it Long_Send.lnk. Then the long press of the talk key is remapped (in this case to put the phone in landscape mode).

Alright - bonehead move on my part.
If you go to the phone dialing screen, press menu, and then scroll down the menu, the last option is 'conference mode'.

how to bring up comm manager by holing the send key

Before i upgraded to rom 1.6 I had a cab that enabled me to bring up the comm mangager simply by holding down the left soft key (call button). Since the upgrade I'v searched all over this forum but cant remember which thread i got it from. Can someone kindly point me in the right direction.
Also, while looking on google, i discovered that holding the send button during a call toggles loudspeaker on and off. I'm loving this phone more and more. (apologies if this tip has already been posted.)
You can make the "long send" key run anything you want. Simply create a shortcut to comm manager (in this example) in the windows folder, and then rename it "long_send".
As I said, you can do that with anything
Just in case you didn't know the long press send key toggles speaker phone on/off by default. If you assign another function to it you will lose that speakerphone shortcut.
Just FYI... /TubGirl

Good point! I just put the phone face down on the desk if I want to use the speakerphone, so it's never been an issue to me.

Really? thats just changed everything. I'd rather have my newly discovered speakerphone feature than the comm manager. thanks for clearing that one up.

Key changes

Hai, just a simple question but I need it so bad.
When my phone rings and I get it out of my pocket I almost always pick it up to early by pressing the left (Awnser) button or rejecting it by pressing the right (ignore/hangup) button.
Is there any way to disable these buttons?
I know, the right button is usefull for stndby but I can miss it. (Phone sleeps in a couple of sec when lock is on)
Is there any way to disable these buttons?
Thanks guys!
(PS, the rest of the Leo I really love!)
Kind Regards, Diq

Yes there is, but I'm at work so I can't provide a cab. A search should find it for you though. I think InCallSettings might do it, but don't quote me on that.
Thanks, I've found it. (Didn't know the search criteria!)
Thanks Again!
