Getting Tmobile wing Tommorow

hey im getting my tmobile wing with loaded 6.1 windows mobile.... what do you guys suggest the best rom out there right now is?
also the whole touch cube/flo thing would be good but i also dont want my phone freezing up all the time... any suggestions? thanks
It really depends on your preferences and what type of apps you might want or need. I use open touch personally, but it's really up to you. The link below will get you to the threads of most of the ROMs available on XDA.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=358030
I'm a very strong supporter of ITJE or ASERG's work. Their roms are the most professional, stable, fast .. etc... you can't go wrong with them.

Me personally I have always used the Open Touch Series by TTRAN and have never had a problem. It runs fast and my wing runs as it should. Another good thing is that you dont have to hardspl.

Can i buy hd2?

Im planning to buy HD2! i already own a kaiser.
1)most of them say that winmo is the only problem, but i love winmo!
2)and i there was some 3d driver problem in hd2? (already kaiser doesnt have proper drivers)
if that is a big issue please let me know.
3) how are games in hd2?
4)music audio quality
5)call quality
6)last but not least! TF3d is not lagging?
Please suggest me! thanks in advance
Jeno
U will love it like i do
I was worried about win-mo too, but after i got the hd2 i love it so much.
The only thing I don't like about it is the battery life, can't even last for 1 day . Other than that it's a perfect phone. U can use it for like almost everything.
I believe u would like it too
Thanks you! gonna buy it tomorrow!
Now all i want to know is how it handles 3d apps and games!! and those driver issue! anyone suggest please

Till now i can say, that i tried EVERY (quality) game out there. None of them was able to slow down the HD2 or make it stutter or something (even though the drivers are really crappy as confirmed by many many chefs You can get a clue of the quality of the drivers, if you try a 3D-Benchmark (sorry got no link at the moment). But just as i said, theres is acually no software/game that really stresses the HD2 apart from HD-Videos...
Got the HD2, works nicely! thank you guys!
you do the best choice... welcome
May I ask where you got your?

HTC Sense makes me want to die. Please help.

Hey, all. Long-time flasher, first(ish)-time poster. I think HTC Sense does a great deal of covering up for Windows Mobile, which is great... if you hate Windows Mobile. I don't. I love it. And that's all I want.
Right now I'm using Kumar's ROM on my HD2... hats off to all involved, by the way... but it's still not exactly what I'm looking for. Maybe what I'm looking for doesn't exist. I don't know. I'll get to the point.
Here's what I'm after: a stock Windows Mobile 6.5.3 ROM. I don't want any of the HTC Sense bull**** on there. Not Sense, not HTC's SMS/MMS app, none of it. I want strictly Windows Mobile. Does something like this exist already, and I'm just retarded/overlooking it?
Thanks in advance for any help here, all.

I was working on a ROM like that, but in the end decided it was easier to just take Kumar's ROM, and turn off Sense/HTC Messaging.
start->settings->home->Items, disable Sense, enable Windows Default
Ok... disabling Sense on the home screen is easy enough, that I've already done. The real thing I'm after is disabling their messaging client. It hurts to use, I die a little inside every time I'm forced to interact with it. How do you disable that?

Also, Kumar is working on a Titanium ROM without the HTC Sense apps (especially messaging). Or, you can try SPB Mobile Shell to see if that suits you, though it is a commercial product.
THANK YOU!
Holy Hell... you have no idea how good it feels to use the stock WinMo SMS/MMS app. Well, maybe you do. Either way, that's exactly what I was looking for.
Thanks again, man... and I will definitely keep an eye out for Kumar's Titanium ROM.

No problem. Hope it helps. I know it makes a difference for me. But I'm not a heavy texter to begin with anyway.
EnergyRom
NRGZ28 has a Titanium only rom with the HTC messaging already disabled by default. I would give that a look too
Oh brilliant, was hoping there'd be Titanium-only HD2 ROMs - I've got a TMoUS HD2 en-route at the moment, and although I've only played with M2D, I've never understood the fascination with TouchFlo. It's pretty, to be sure, but so memory-hungry and annoying to use. Although I suppose RAM-hogging won't be a factor when the HD2 has so much to spare, heh.
Link to HD2 EnergyROM w/Titanium-only version for anyone still looking.
Say, can anyone who loves Sense UI explain why? I'm just curious, having had bad experiences myself.

I love and hate sense.
As you can see from my signature, I use NRG's titanium ROMs on my TP2, because I get fed up of it, and it always feels slow.
The reason I loved it was the integration of everything in a today screen, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, all in one, along with weather, stocks and everything else I do daily .
Dave
For those who are interested, An updated Titanium ROM for TMOUS (Based on 23563) will be up before this weekend.

Not true at all. I'm not a big fan of sense. It's way more buggy than a lot of other great shells or ui's. I'm gonna start using SPB Mobile shell now that I've used sense for a few weeks to see if I grew to like it. I didn't.
Can't wait for schaps to release TouchXperience. That looks great.

Quite a few people have posted requesting Titanium-only ROMs, thats why several ROM chefs have started making them.
More people still prefer Sense, but there are plenty that do not.
Having actually gotten hold of said HD2 now, I'm really beginning to dig the Sense UI. It takes a bit of getting used to, and I think I'll be hunting for a ROM that has Titanium as well, in case I feel like switching between the two. The major advantages of Titanium are its low memory footprint, nifty clean look (Sense is not so clean, but it looks boring when it is) and having everything on a single screen, while having all the key information visible at a glance - the comm manager panel was the single most important app I had installed. But Sense does all of this too, with a few tweaks and some specific quick links. Although I'd really prefer to have comm manager status/links to favourite people/currently-playing music/new texts/new email/home tab visible all at the same time, I'm pretty sure I can deal with swiping to the left to get to Twitter, heh.
Funnily enough, my friends' reaction upon seeing Sense UI is "WOW, is that Android?"
I've built a rom with chuckys tools 23563 if you wanna try here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=618787
i forgot to take out the htc dialler and that interferes with the reminder notification snoozing(gives you a choice of 5/10/15mins etc) so you might wanna google htc dialler disabler aswell.
Be aware i stripped out a lot of stuff with this so no opera or anything, i found it easier to try newer versions etc that way....
I feel you
Your post pushed me to find a way to do exactly what you're talking about. I love Titanium, and despise HTC Messaging.
I installed the Energy ROM ("standard" Sense build 23566) and it's perfect. Once you disable Sense you're good to go. HTC Messaging is not included! Fast, stable, and includes only minimal extra software. The default Start menu arrangement is excellent.
Cheers,
Rob

Schaps is still releasing TouchXperience???? When I started on this forum in 2007....I couldn't wait for Schaps to release that.....then for personal reasons, he was gone. I'm hoping you are saying he is going to release his 'latest' version....because if he still hasn't released his first version...yet...you may want to keep looking. I've always found his work very good....but the drama very high.
have you even heard of the home screen customizer?
it pretty much saves winmo6.5.
go into the Marketplace on your phone, and just search "home screen customizer".
it's amazing, hardly anyone finds it.

"OEM" ROM for Tmous

Hello,
I was wondering if anybody would be willing to build a custom ROM that is identical to the stock Tmous ROM but without the bloatware.
This would be much appreciated.
Thanks.
I Believe the Kumar Classic version has exactly what you're asking for. He's making a LITE version which supposedly will be stripped of completely anything unnecessary.

I hope his Lite version is going to be what I am looking for. I love Kumar's ROM but I would rather have the stock on-screen buttons.
How stripped do you want it?
I'm going to give this one last bump,
I am willing to cook, just curious what you are looking for.

What programs would you recommend for Security Admin. ie: Anti-Hacking tools, hacking tools or, ways hack a hacker? LOL its strange request but it takes a knowledge of a skilled hacker to become a professional one.
Thanks
I'm running Kumars 1.9 Lite WWE rom right now and it has everything that you would expect a lite version to have. The main screen is the same but doesn't have the transformers icon. It does run Arkswitch which is probably the only thing really different about it. Its also missing swype but you can get that installed by installing the Kumar Swype. I also installed cookie tabs v1.7 so it looks really nice. Then just put cleanram on there and set it to do a lvl 2 wipe every 3 hours and ur pretty good to go. I'm starting to get used to this phone now; coming from an iPhone it is a big transition. I don't like the HTC Messaging so I disabled it and am running straight from the stock messaging. It doesn't have as much eye candy but when you use swype it goes a lot faster.

LOL, A Hacker according to Meriam Webster is: An expert at programming and problem solving problems with a computer; or A person who illegally gains access to and sometimes tampers with information in a computer system.
I know enough to know I can always learn more. Best advice I can give you is to keep learning....
I use Envirus kitchen with Bepe tools provided by RSTOYGUY.
I would also be interested in a slimmed down rom like this (currently using Kumar's - but I like having the stock on-screen buttons)
just dont want any of the bloatware
additional Programs I would like
Wi-Fi Router
Registry Editor
if you having any other questions about this feel free to ask.
Thank you VERY much,
merkman90
I am curious what you mean by "bloatware"?
There are lots of good ROM's out there, so if you get specific on what you want removed and added I can post a sample.
BTW: Cookie's hometabs are awesome compared to the original, and you can go to a 3X3, 4X4, or 5X5 (3X3 is close to stock)
Thanks
Sorry. I didn't realize people were replying to this thread.
I have decided to stick with Kumar's ROM. It is bare enough.
Thanks for the replies, however.
A side question: I am having trouble with my Youtube. I can preview the videos while connected to Wifi but I cannot actually watch the videos. I can only watch videos when using edge after disconnecting wifi (I am on att). Please let me know if you have a solution to this.
Thanks.

Cleanest rom

Hi all
been a while since i was on here, was originally with touch HD, liked the clean firmwares available so that i could install my own apps.
Anyone know of the same for the HD2??? im looking for as basic as possible, even if HD2's crappy interface could be killed too.
Please, im only looking for an opinion, try not to flame me for being lazy, i just cant decide on what im looking for yet..
like i say.. been a bit... and more.
cheers
binarysi
stop being lazy!!
You best off looking in the ROM DEV sections, theres a few "clean" roms floating about.

keep an eye on the cleanEx ROM series. the ultimate version is very clean & fast: ~255mb free memory after install.
Cheers for that all
looked at the cleanex stuff but looked like a few apps were still on there. are those not able to be removed? or can i maybe uninstall them when i have installed the rom on the unit.
will be doing this at the weekend i think. sounds as good a time as any to start.
What's in the ROM is cooked into the ROM so can't be removed - only way would be to ask them to do a special ROM for you with said items removed...
