Desperately in need of a Orange France original Rom - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 ROM Development

Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeze....I am desperately in need of a Orange France original Rom, as i need to return the phone to orange and i need to get the HSPL off it and the regular one on.
If i put on a non orange France rom, ie. the shipped WWE one, or the French one, from HTC, they will know that i had to use a HSPL in order to overwrite the Orange rom.
Many thanks
Sean

Orange LEO - Original ROM
You can find it here:
http://rapidshare.com/files/357315236/ROM_Leo_Orange.rar
I didn't test it as i use TMOUS 2.10 and I'm good with it.

Thank you so much, i am downloading it now.
Just in case anyone does a search on Orange France HD2, be careful. I have two of them, bought just before christmas, and both are defective and need to be returned to Orange. If you have a defective one, it will start powering itself off for no reason whatsoever. The problem will get more frequent, until it stops powering up or accepting power completely. If you have a cooked rom on it, you will need to restore the original spl AND Rom while you still can, and before it goes wrong, or you will not be able to power it up to revert to the original ones.
As i said this has happened to 2 phones, one after about a month and the second one after 2 months...both have the same rom and HSPL as you can see from my signature.
By the way, i also have one that came from O2 in the UK (Jan delivery)...no problems with that yet...fingers crossed!

you find it in the forum htc hd french.if it's wrong I have a true one complete.send me an help

Thanks for the kind offer
Hi Rayman...you said: you find it in the forum htc hd french.if it's wrong I have a true one complete.send me an help"
Someone has very kindly posted a link to a copy of the Rom ( above) and am about to test it...fingers crossed!...Thank you so much for the offer though...I will let you know if it does not work!
The Franch France Orange official Rom is on this link and has apparently been tested by another member,,,I am about to try it!
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=BC4FGYH4

Ok...this is the follow up....The Rom worked and is the French Orange one, only problem is it has not changed the HSPL back to the original SPL?
I am asking for help on this in another thread, and will report back when i get somewhere.
If anyone else has any bright ideas i would be more than happy to hear them!

Hi!
Before all, you need to flash an official HTC ROM that contains the SPL 1.42 (like the version 1.43.406.2) from SDCARD.
Just put into the SD card the RUU_signed.nbh extracted from this shipped rom, renamed into leoimg.nbh. Then boot + volume down.
It will flash it and change your HSPL back to 1.42.
After that, you can flash the Orange one with SSPL method.
I hope someone will confirm this
P.S. : I uploaded the LEOIMG.nbh file I extracted from the official HTC ROM 1.43.406.2 French.
You can find it here (it's a ZIP archive) : megaupload.com/?d=HRHGOJHC

Thanks Ruth
I am downloading your image now...Thank you so much, as my serial did not work on the HTC site.
Also what is the "SSPL method", is that with the Gold card, because if it is, gold card method is no longer available.
Of course i will post how i get on with this, once i get the necessary rom and have loaded everything. I am sure this will be very useful to lots of people on here, because it is sounding like quite a few people are having manufacturer problems with their phones.
Do you think Orange France would be able to complain if the phone was returned with an official rom on it? I would have thought as long as it is an official rom and not a hacked rom, it does not matter if it is HTC or Orange's rom.
Another member is looking for a list of serials which i will also post up here when i get them, so it will make it easier to download the official roms.
Many thanks again for your kind advice.

1) SSPL allows you to flash cooked ROMS (so the Orange one too) without SPL and Radio, so only the Operating System is flashed.
You can get the tool here, with a nice tutorial : forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=606713
2) It seems that Orange France is not as ...blind... as others french mobile providers. I think it's much better to return the phone with the original Orange rom.

I downloaded and installed that ROM - It's 1.14 not 1.19!!
Where do these get released? Or haven't they been released?
I'm intrigued to find where the latest HTC Firmware will appear if Orange get round to messing with it.
That is why you are here -----
It is due to the fact that carriers don't upgrade and want you to run out of contract and buy a new toy (thus with a new rom).
This is why we cook roms (off the new toys for old boys).
I have yet to see an offical GER (german rom) come out from my or any other carrier including HTC (who are not carriers).
Now after saying all that wiki does have a orange ship.exe
Still unsure about flashing the ROM
Hi,
So the ROM supplied in the above links will upgrade the Orange ROM and keep all the horrible things that Orange have done to the handset to cripple it.
I only ask as my phone is company supplied and I do not want to screw up the handset.
My ROM is 1.19.61.1 WWE and the operator version is 34.119.1.611.
Forgive my ignorance about these matters
Chris
it´s very simple: if you like to keep your device at it is, there´s no need to flash another rom. if you like to get rid of that orange rom and take part of the better ones install one of the very good rom available here.

I also want to get rid of my Orange ROM. I have read the wikis and am confident enough to be able to do it. One thing I am unsure about is, the ROM I would like to try is Panosha`s Black Pearl but as I understand it, it is based on a 1.56 ROM. and my ROM is 1.19.61.1. I can get USPL onto my TouchHD but am unsure as whether I can flash Panosha`s ROM onto my device without first flashing a 1.56 ROM. I`ve searched the Orange website and at the moment there is no 1.56 ROM.
If you are going to flash a cooked rom, then why panic about flashing the stock 1.54/1.56 roms first.
I`m not panicking, just unsure about whether I have to. I`m sure I read in the wikis that I need a 1.56 ROM on my device to flash a 1.56 based cooked ROM. Can`t find this statement any more so maybe I imagined it.
Just noticed a statement on Panosha`s ROM page which says "First flash 1.56.xxxx ROM"

Yup, you need the 1.54 SPL version from Stock first which comes with the 1.56 ROM.
Read the tutorial for more info http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=505377
Then any issues just ask in that thread, loads of people will help... its what we're here for
Thanks mate, I thought so. I went ahead and did it but I now have the green screen issue so I`ve obviously not done it right. Just need to read up now how to fix it. I flashed USPL 2.5 first and then one of Duttys 1.56 ROMS which all went on fine until it rebooted. Maybe I`m not understanding the flash process as much as I thought.
Check your SPL version by turning off the phone, holding down the volume button and pressing power once. It should go to the tri colour screen and say SPL- 1.56, if it doesn't it answers why your phone has gone green screen. The SPL and the ROM numbers need to match.
It's quite simple to solve, don't worry, your phone isn't bricked.
You just need to run hard SPL 1.54 which you can find on this forum. run it via PC whilst in activesync with your phone and it will do the rest. Let us know if you still have problems after this.
Thanks. I have spl 1.14. I knew I hadn`t bricked it, just caused the green screen problem because of my own stupidity not fully understanding the procedure. The ROM is showing as 1.56Dutty, do I have to flash Hardspl 1.56 or the older one. Also does the phone have to be unlocked. I thought I had all this cracked but it just gets more & more complicated the more I try and correct my **** up.
This may seem like a silly question..but .. if I install a cooked Rom
Will my connection setting for Orange as my service provider be retained?
Thanks
yes. its detected automatically after you flashed the ROM. if you hard reset (which you ought to do) then youll just go through the customisation process where you confirm that your service provider is orange.
I'm obviously a newbie
Thanks - I was bricking myself anout this.

you already have the latest Orange ROM
I thought I was ready to go before I came accross this thread and it's left me hesitant.
I too have an Orange branded phone. SPL 1.14 ROM 1.19.61.1 WWE.
I thought that all I needed to do was:
a) update windows 7 USB driver so I can sync from the tri-colour screen.
b) run HSPL 1.56.OliNex
c) flash a new 1.56 ROM
edit: Do I need to update to stock SPL 1.54 before step b?
As davemazo says, does it need to be Orange unlocked to do this? dgattenb saying he can't flash the 1.54 HSPL onto the phone has put this on hold.
Cheers,

once you find the correct rom do what you did last time and it will start.

oh in that case it is easy.
go to rom development section, find the "leo official roms" thread, look in first post first link.the rom you need says o2 in the name.
if you are trying to downgrade so you can put hspl on your phone look in the 1.43 folder)
there isn't an O2 1.48 ROM in the 4Shared folder, only their 1.43 one
o2 uk have only released one rom. no 1.48, no 1.66, only 1.43...are you sure your phone is an actual o2 phone? did you buy outright from o2? car phone warehouse perhaps?

OK, so it isn't an o2 locked rom. It should be a wwe one.
personally i would try this
http://www.4shared.com/account/file..._WWE_1434051_Radio_.html?sId=wJvHvpUN96nuOQU8
rom first
That is the 1.43 wwe rom. download, extract the ruu_signed.nbh, copy to sd card, reboot into bootloader, if it flashes, all good. You can then instal hspl, and flash any rom you like BY USB.
Sim lock is nothing to do with rom lock.
Excuse my maybe silly question but...
Why would we want to downgrade the ROM version??
(Beside of the need to send it to the repair of course)

Bored waiting for O2 UK update. Want to flash.

Hi guys,
As most of O2 UK customers, I got stuck on 1.43 and it seems it will take them some time to release 1.66 (but who knows that? it might be 1.45).
So, I decided to not wait and have a try to cooked rom.
- If u r with O2 UK could u help me to do it step by step please?
- which rom wld u recommend.
- I know I void warranty but before I send the phone to repair I can put back
there my 1.43 firmware and everything is ok, am I right? Cld u send me a link to O2 1.43 firmeware just in case.
- any advice and help is welcome.
Cheers
o2 stock rom is in "leo official roms " thread, first post - first link - 1.43 folder.
no one can tell you what is the best rom.just be happy that you don't have a tmous so you can flash any rom you want no danger.
try some, and stick to what works for you.
most of all, read.

1 instal hspl2, choose any version , , 1.66.HSPL or 2.08.HSPL probably, doesnt really matter so long as you choose one with HSPL in the code.)
2 flash rom of choice
3 if required flash correct radio
How to flash - put rom or radio .nbh file in a folder along with customruu.exe, connect phone to usb (boot to bootloader first if your phone currently wont boot to a running system, like for after you flash the rom but before you flash the radio)
EDIT - If you want to flash back to stock, you can do it by running the .exe, no need to extract the .nbh or use customruu.

no, there isn't.
Here is a link for the default O2 ROM and Radio, it's self explanatory.
http://www.4shared.com/dir/22189940/b8552fa0/Shipped_Leo_ROMs.html
Go with WWE 1.66 add Bsb tweaks setup all your bit's and bob's to only manually update and trust me the battery will last 3 times longer than that shipped O2 rom
It generally lasts me about 3 days between charges now..quite brilliant !
I don't know exactly what they have done with the rom but it must be fully allowing power save options
One small point the rom is generic so You may need to setup service provider details, that should not be to hard for You
Ok, I'll go for original 1.66 first.
I ve got vista 64, is there anything I should know before I start?
lets sum up I need:
- 1.66.HSPL or 2.08.HSPL (cld u give me a link pls)
- Rom RUU_Leo_HTC_WWE_1.66.405.2_Radio_Signed_15.30.50.0 7U_2.06.51.07_Ship.exe
is it the best one?
- I dont need a radio in this case, do I?

I've already tried and downloaded it using a different serial. The updater then prevents you from flashing as it checks the serial prior to flashing.
Your best bet is to flash using a ROM in the ROM forum section.
mh....changing rom isnt very difficult..
but: i would only do, if really needed.
i'm also using 1.48 and i don't wanna change since an official rom supports landscape manila.
but if you want, do this:
choose the right S/N here and download your ROM.
when you've got it, you need to install HSPL first.
all about HSPL is written in this thread.
after installing hspl successfully, you can run the RUU.exe, which you downloaded from htc.com .
but think about it carefully...it could void your warranty
but all about that in hspl thread.
good luck.
DN41
Instal HSPL2 from the HSPL/HSPL2 thread in rom development. (It is fully reversable, your warranty is only temporarily void)
Then go to the Leo Official Roms thread in rom development, first post, first link, brings up a list of folder
1.42
1.48
1.66
etc etc
Look in the 1.66 folder for one with 'HTC' and 'WWE' in the title (world wide english and HTC unbranded)
Download it, and with your phone connected to usb, run the exe you downloaded.
THis WILL of course reset your phone completely, so be sure and back up your data first.
guys I didn't need HSPL when I updated. I was using the stock ROM, then I downloaded the official 1.66 ROM from this forum (coz my serial gave an invalid error on HTC website). I just connected with USB and ran activesync/windows mobile device manager and ran the .exe file of the update.
so your leo wasn't "branded".
where did you buy it?
DN41
oh yer of course, how n00b of me to forget that. Yer mine was bought online from handtec (official reseller).
EDIT: Sry kingdanny, just ignore my post. You may get confused otherwise.
