Camera panorama settings - Omnia II General

Just wondered if anyone knows how to amend the settings so you can shoot panorama in full resolution rather than the 640*480 it is set to.
I have seen registry hacks for HTC phones to do this but the registry keys do not exist on the Omnia.
Other than that would it be possible to take the Samsung camera application and amend it to allow these settings to be changed.
I am aware this will take longer to stitch the photos but this is a small sacrifice to get proper panoramic pictures using this.

Yeah, does any one know how to increase image pixel for the panoramic shot?
the 640 setting is totally useless!

UP
As it also interrest me

same thing here I also wanted to know too guys

It is not possible.
Only by developping a soft that would do it.

Possible to add panoramic mode to camera like the apache?

I played with my cousins htc apache/Sprint 6700 before i got my 8125 and one of my favorite things about the camera was the panoramic mode which allowed you to stich up to three pictures together right on the camera to create a nice landscape picture. I figured since the wizard and apache are basically the same that the wizard would have this feature as well but much to my dissapointment it doesnt. Is there anything out there that will add this feature to the wizard? Im not that familiar with registry edits but it seems like something could be copied from the apaches registry to add to the wizard and make this feature available. Thanks for the help
anyone?

that's a good question, I would like to know the answer too.
I'd like to see an implement for this!
oh that would be so awsome plus it would make the camera a lil more fun to play with considering the quality isn't too much to brag about (both still photos and video mode) :?
anyone have an actual solution for this...it has to be possible
Just a initial Hint: Registry edit
I have an Artemis.
Following the kind of reasoning http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=292560
post #7
I found in my registry that profile 6 (P6) had also the entry
"enabled" set to 0.
I set it to 1... and the panoramic icon appeared in the sequence of modes of the camera.
I has also specific settings like "left to right", "number of stitches"...
Unfortunately I could not make it work. May be it was because I did not know how to operate this mode.
Any one had discovered / tampered with this or had it already activated.
Any ideas on how to make it work?
Just tried to do the same thing, got a dupe of Burst mode...
Which OS do you have installed?
My SO version
Artemis (HTC P3300) Spanish
WM5 5.1.342 (build 15096.3.0.0)
In the other thread that I open on this in the Artemis forum others have reported a different behavior that I found in mine... they achieved to build a panoramic pic but then the camera exited. Mine did not exit but just took a normal photo.
It is probably disabled because of being on development.
Nevertheles, it would be great if we could get the soft from those other devices in which it is in operation.

camera panorama app

Is there any camera app out there that can take pictures in full res in panorama mode? if there isnt then itd be a nice idea for another community app n the pictures neednt be stitched together as ive read thats the main problem due to memory constraints.
The AT&T Tilt has it built in as one of it's camera modes. Maybe there's a way to pull it off there.
the builtin ones don't take pics in full resolution in panorama mode... my hermes has a builtin one too but it only shoots in VGA for panorama mode.
this can be done by editing the registry!
HKLM/Software/HTC/camera/P3 i think, could be another Px.
change the MainCamCaptSize to 1024 and the MainCamSupportCaptSize to 1744.
BUT BE CARFULL!!! Don´t use it with 6 pics because you can get a problem with memory!

Well you're lucky, my samsung omnia will only take up to qvga in panorama :'(
I'll check out the registry see if I can tweak that !
nope didnt work didnt use those exact values instead used the ones that were for the normal full res camera... 1024 etc warent anywhere(not even corresponding to the full camera... full cam used 512 n 724)
An app that just shows the last shot pic 25-30% faded on any one selectable side, n saves all the panorama pics(of one set) separately... would be just ideal....

Picture quality changes in the people tab. Why?

Hey all.
I am using the HTC Diamond.
WHen i store a picture to any contact and view it on the Peoples Tab in the TF3 the quality is horrible.
I tried to edit the picture as 256X256 which is equal to the default pics ,.... but still st does not impeove..
but when i choose the default pic in the tab. the pic quality is awsome.
why ?
Better way is to add picture to your contacts directly from album - not in contacts - that works for me better
Yea thats what i do. stll the quality is not good enough....
hmmm...and are those pictures captured by Diamond?? What for a resolution??
and could you give a screenshot??
well just bought the phone so not able to give you the screen shot but
tried by pics captured from my diamond as well as digi cam.
the resolution is
256 X 256
depth is 32 bit
72 dpi..
Does anyone here knows how to have a super image quality in the peoples tab.
Not sure if resizing the pictures to such a small format is a good way
Ok when you´re in album - picture with 3,2mpx resolution add to contacts - then the quality in people tab is bad??
Yea its stll bad dear
So for now I don´t know what it causes ´cause for me worked adding pictures from album and not in contacts..
But some time ago I saw here a thread about this issue so I´ll take a look
I had a similar problem I got around it like this..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2824740#post2824740
Resize to 240x320
you don't have to resize. The issue is with the fact that win mobile on its own isn't designed to show high res images that the diamond outputs (since most touch phones don't have a super high res screen). All you have to do is go to favorite tab and using that interface to add a picture for that specific person. The TF3D software will bump the resolution for you so that the image appears right.
People > Menu > Change picture
I think it's a problem from outlook. When you add a picture in outlook from your computer, you see the visit card and the picture you add is low resolution. But adding picture by the HTC album keep the right resolution. But you can sometime have an error when synchronizing with outlook after that.
HEy guys.
thanks everyone for your coments and suggestions..
after trying nearly for 2 days all differenent propositions...
i have almost solved the problem..
the solution..
1.Change the image from JPG to PNG
2. Change the image resolution to 256X256.
3. Increase the DPI to as much as possible... pref 300 DPI
4. Click on the menu on the peoples tab and change the picture.
by this i am getting very good resolution and clarity to my pics.
Please add more coments or suggestions to this.
Thanks.

Increase quality of Night/ Indoors photos

I love my Touch HD, however the quality of the indoor/night photos disappoint me so much!
The worst part is that when taking a photo at night or in indoor places, we have to hold firmly and the smallest move makes the photo blurry. Damn it! Even my girlfriend´s old Nokia 7373 takes better photos in these situations.
The problem of the Blackstone is that the camera prefers to reduce the ISO (in order to reduce the level of noise) and increases the length of capture time. This causes blurred photos with almost no noise (but hey HTC, what´s the great point in it?).
I would like to ask if there´s any way to change some settings (via registry or something else) in order to increase the ISO and reduce length capture time. I really don´t mind of having noiser images as long as they aren´t blurred.
Can anyone help me in this? Above I´m posting two images, to make you understand better what I´m talking about. The first one was taken with Blackstone and the second with the Nokia 7373 (both in the same place and time). If you look the photos in the maximum resolution you´ll see that everything is "sharper" in the second photo, although more noisy.
Thanks in advance!

decrease the 'brightness' setting on the camera to -2.0: http://www.fuzemobility.com/decrease-the-blur-of-your-camera-really/
Hi friend. I´ve tried this.. it parcialy works in some situations, but it makes the photo get darker. This is the opposite of what I´m looking for: increasing the ISO.
The camera´s software of the new ROMs (Dutty, Hellonasty, Laurentius) offer the option of increasing the ISO, but it simply doesn´t work on HD. Has anyone tested this?
Thanks.

Auto focus on the carema

I think there a bug with the autofocus on the phone, can't focus on the center, every picture it focus only the back like in portrait mode.
Anyone having the same problem?
True, it is backfocus.
The same happens on my two units.
I am looking for a registry value that allows to change the focus point, but I have not found anything yet.

It's touch-focus. You have to tab on the screen where you want to focus.
It is a back focus problem.
I've tested autofocus. I used the same patterns that I use with my SLR camera. I made a central focus in testing, I placed the object in the center of the image. The result is that there backfocus.
