HELP!!!my hd2 does not work!!! - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 ROM Development

Troubleshooting:
"Your OS ROM isn't customized for your hardware. Please reflash the proper ROM code or contact the service center", !!! Problem NOT related to HSPL !!! ... this means that you flashed a region protected rom... flash any other rom that has your region ID... or patch it
[/QUOTE] how to patch it?my hd2 is from tw,if i flash shipped rom from asia tw,can i patch it?Thanks a lot!!!!!!!!

I wonder does HSPL will cause people who want to flash Original Factory Rom such as WWE,Asia WWE or Asia TW Rom(Chinese Rom), if my HD2 is from UK. Or we have to use gold card to flash HTC Factory Rom??
Or HSPL just for people who want to flash cook Rom?

Other Question, Are there many region protected rom?? so confused

Can I install an official ROM (different language)?

I have an Artemis P3300 bought 2 years ago in SPAIN. The last oficial upgrade from HTC is HTC_P3300_SPA_3.13.412.1_4.1.13.44_02.94.90_Ship_R.exe and I already use it.
I would like to use the english version HTC_P3300_WWE_3.13.405.1_4.1.13.44_02.94.90_Ship_R.exe
I tried to use USPL, but It does not solve the issue. I installed USPL, but I cannot install the WWE ROM (model id error).
I use WinVista SP1 and I already did the "via crucis" to install USPL (driver change). Just to test, I installed a cooked ROM (Tom-Oops-Black-v1.0-WWE). It is unstable for me, but it is not important. I want the official WWE installed.
Is it possible? What should I do?
I can't believe no one commented.
I know many people install cooked ROMs (no CID lock verification in ROM).
But does anybody install official ROMs (CID lock verification in ROM)? I need help.
My Artemis is already USPLed.
Cheers.
If you install a shipped ROM in another language you will loose CID unlock and brick your device.
The only thing you can do is try to extract the shipped ROM only from de file and then flash it with costum RUU.

Changing language - Help!!!!!

Hello ,,
I am getting HD2 next week from Germany ,,
& i want to know how to change its language to English ,
can i just download an official English Rom from HTC website & upgrade my phone without removing the protection ( i think flashing) ? & If i had to ,, How to flash it??? & please give me a link to download the official English Rom,,
Hope i'll find the answers in this website ,,
Thank you
If i remember correctly, when you attempt to download a ROM from HTC's webiste, in the support section, it requires the user to enter their serial number of their device to download a ROM which is specific to their region, otherwise it will not let you download another ROM from another region.
See this link, it lists official Leo (stock) ROM versions which you can flash to there is even an English ROM here (WWE = World Wide English), but in order to flash to a different ROM version in a different language, you will first need to unlock your phone. To unlock your phone, this requires you to hack your phone to unlock it's SPL version, which enables your device to be CID (Country ID) unlocked so therefore the need to hardspl to put other language on.
For more infomration on unlocking your phone, see this link.
After you unlock your phone you can flash to another stock ROM version.
Please note: If you decided that you wanted to flash to a custom ROM version instead of a Stock version, then make sure that you upgrade your Radio version first (link here), and then flash to a compatible custom ROM version.
Flashing order: Install HardSPL (to unlock your phone), then Radio version (if necessary), then ROM version.

AFAIK you can't install a ROM of another language/region without HardSPLing first. Read the flashing tutorials in the ROM development section/Wiki, all the details are there, clearly explained.

No, the link I posted above for flashing to ROM versions does not include the links for the latest Radio versions, I posted a seperate link for you above which details the the various Radio versions available.
I am using Radio version 2.07.50.27_2 and it works great.
Most of the custom ROMs available require you to have Radio version 2.07 or 2.08 installed prior to flashing the ROM, so try either of those, unless it is stated on a custom ROM download page to install a specific Radio version.

It simply won't work
To check your SPL version, power off your phone and then hold the Volume Down button and the power button simultanesously for about 3-5 seconds. You will enter Bootloader mode and a tri-coloured screen will appear. Check what is shows for SPL (it will be something like 1.42.0000. When you unlock your phone, it should show 1.42.HSPL instead).
Note: to exit Bootloader, take back cover off phone and remove battery for 3 seconds, then re-insert.
It is possible to downgrade to this SPL (if above 1.42.0000), by just flashing to an Official ROM with this SPL version.

Don't worry, I was once in your shoes. You will figure it out, just read things carefully and ask questions before you attempt anything you are unsure of and you will be fine
the name of the file of the Rom the i've downloaded from HTC website is
RUU_Leo_HTC_WWE_1.66.405.2_Radio_Signed_15.30.50.07U_2.06.51.07_Ship
does it include upgrading Radio??
& if it includes the Radio ,, I just have to unlock the phone?

I dont think it includes the Radio, just the ROM. That ROM shows it is compatible with Radio 2.06.51.07, so I think that may be your stock Radio version (resrart the phone and check waht it shows on the bootup screen in orange font)
To upgrade to a different Radio version other than Stock, yes you will need to unlock your phone.

i have a unbranded htc hd2 can i use any rom?

i have a unbranded htc hd2 can i use any rom? i notice some of the providers are getting newer roms...if i can will it effect my sim lock? because currently of course there isn't one
if the phone is unbranded then u can use any rom but ofcourse dont flash for example a vodafone uk 1.72 rom because then i think it would be an issue
Just folow the advices of the roms shef to use the apropriate radio with the rom u want to flash
i have 1.66 rom (HTC offical rom) so cannot use a provider 1.72+ why isn't there an unbranded one?
1.72 just1.66 with the fixes already applied.
you can use any htc wwe rom without hspl.
there is no problem flashing a provider rom if you want to.(needs hspl of course.)
sorry what is hspl??
thanks i have read another post reference this..

This all depends on if the stock TmoUK rom includes a radio rom that is sim locked really. Personally, i wouldn't update unless i knew there was something in the new rom that would fix a problem i was having.
i downloaded RUU_Leo_TMO_UK_1.72.110.4_Radio_CRC_Signed_15.32.50.07U_2.07.51.22_2_Ship Firmware

That will probably sim lock the phone if it came sim locked.
Search for and download Dutty's NBH Tool. Use it to extract the NBH into individual NB files and then rebuild the NBH file containing only the OS and SPLASH files.
If you do it correctly, you can flash the ROM safely to your phone without the risk of re-locking the SIM due to the radio and you won't need to worry about changing the SPL and re-locking that either.
thanks for the replay but i dont know how exactly i suppose to do that
the Rom RUU EXE file and dutty can open nbh

Why not just just flash the HTC 1.66 WWE ROM rather than the T-Mobile version (1.72)? It is the same but without the T-Mobile guff. That is what I have done with my T-MUK HD2.
I flashed mine with the 1.66 WWE rom to get shot of the T-Mobile stuff, and all is well. It did not remove the unlock. I tried a cooked rom and different radio rom a while back and that was fine also.
Hope this helps,
Chris.

you mean it is ok to flash RUU_Leo_TMO_UK_1.72.110.4_Radio_CRC_Signed_15.32.50.07U_2.07.51.22_2_Ship rom without any troubles.
err no he said that he flashed the generic 1.66 rom (which is sim unlocked anyway) and that was ok. what you have is the tmouk branded 1.72 rom that shipped on the phone. This also includes the radio rom that shipped with the phone THAT IS SIM LOCKED. If you flash the file you have without removing the radio rom from it you will effectively restore your phone to the as shipped state.
AND IT WILL BE SIM LOCKED AGAIN!!
Can someone please answer me if it is ok to flash that Rom . if not please provide me with the same rom but without the sim lock
How Can I remove the Radio rom form the official T-mobile rom it is RUU file
I extracted the NBH file and got 769.nb, 896.nb, 1552.nb, 1553.nb, 2336.nb , PrimarySplash.nb , SPL.nb and Windows.nb. which one of them should i remove and which one should i compine again in NBH to flash it . which one is the radio rom.
Hello !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! anybody There

[Q] HTC HD2 Update-Help (to 3.14.407.2) with SSPL ?!

Hello,
i have a HTC HD2 phone from vodafone.
a few months ago i did an update to the orgignal HTC ROM 1.66.407.1 (GER).
Now the mobile Windows is very slow and i want the new ROM 3.14.407.2 (GER).
I have downloaded the orginal ROM here (not the Vodafone ROM)
But when i want to update here stands that i dont have the permisson because it is a HTC from vodafone.
I had that problem a few months before, but i cant remeber how i did the update.
I dont want a Hard Flash, it if is possible. (i can remember that i flash it with SSPL (SLPL_RUU.exe, but i am not really sure.)
My SPL version ist 1.42
It is right that first i have to update the vodafone-ROM, because of the RADIO and ther SPL version, and then i can run the SPL_RUU.exe to update the orginal HTC ROM?
Furthermore i have read that many people have problems with the new 3.14 ROM
Thanx for your Help
(you can also answer in german )

Sorry, I cant speak German
You can't flash other stock rom which is not intended for your device series. But, you still can do it using GOLD CARD method. If you are interested, find in the threads using search button
Im not sure of flashing stock rom using SSPL, because I never do that (and I have no intention to try it )
To avoid any trouble, I would suggest you to find the CORRECT STOCK ROM, if your device is from VODAFONE, then go to VODAFONE website to find it whether there is update rom.
The problem reported by other users is because they have installed Stock ROM version 3.14 (which contains SPL 3.03.0000) using HSPL.
SPL 3.03 is incompatible with HSPL.
Cheers
thanks
But it is right that i have to flash the original Vodafone ROM ( to update the SPL and Radio) and then I can flash the original HTC ROM (not vodafone) with SSPL?
Is that right?
And after that, can I downgrade to maybe 1.66 with the same method when I have the New 3.14 ROM with SPL 3.03 and RADIO 2.15 ?

Sir (after your PM)
Flash your phone only with S/N 3.14 ROM
if it's Vodafone then flash with 3.14 Vodafone ROM
to get SPL 3.03 and HTC radio 2.15
ok thanks,
but i dont want the vodafone branded software/ROM.
Then i must flash again (after the vodafone ROM flash) the origianl non-branded HTC-HD2-ROM with SSLP right?
Then i have the newest radio and spl version from the vodafone-ROM and the non-branded software/OS from the original HTC-ROM right? (is the newest orginal ROM supported by SSLP? or can i flash the 3.14-ROM with SSLP?)
The last question -> can i always downgrade to (without SSLP/HSLP etc.) the original vodafone 1.66 or 1.72-ROM ? or it is not possible when i have newest SPL and Radio version?
Thansk a lot.
PS: The HTC is for my father for birthday.I want to give him the HTC as a gift and it should be with the original, newest and non-branded ROM/OS.
And for me it is important that i can easly can downgrade to the original vodafone-ROM.

You can always downgrade it by flashing the older CORRECT STOCK ROM using Micro SD Card method. If you flash with UNCORRECT STOCK ROM, you might get into trouble (it wont flash), unless you have a GOLD CARD.
All STOCK ROM contains SPL. Once you flash it via Micro SD, then your HSPL or SPL will be replaced with the SPL contains in the rom.
Be careful
