CDMA Hero Bugs - Hero CDMA General

I un-rooted my phone so i can download the OTA update that was released 11/18/09.. I downloaded it and first thing I do is of course test if the messaging app problem was fixed, which of course it was, so I'm happy... To celebrate I decide to customize my phone with all sorts of HTC widgets, one of which is the "People" widget that allows you to have pictures of your contacts you can dial from... Of course, coming from WinMo, I'm a proud supporter of multitasking on my phone.
So I'm playing music, and normally if I decide to make a phone call the phone will stop the music and place a call and when I'm done the music will resume...Now with this update if I play a song and use the people widget to call someone I am greeted with loud overpowering music in the earpiece covering up the sound of the phone call I am trying to make...
Now my question to you (the xda community)... Is this an isolated incident that is only occurring on my phone or is this a new bug that we are going to be greeted with?

I just tested your issue and my phone works normally. The music is muted for the phone call. This test was done using the stock music app.

I use stock music app widget, and use htc people widget.. the second i press a person to call it repeats the same issue, this is right after a clean wipe with everything stock

In-call recording app - any?

I would like to record calls automatically (both my voice and the caller's one).
Is there some app that can do this?
Thank you all for answering
sorry for being an Android noob, but too many years into WM...

Thank you for your fast reply
I took the time to read the comments of the users, and they were far from enthusiastic....
Have you tried the app yourself?
How did it worked for you?
No call recording apps work, they only ever record your side of the convo unless on speaker phone. It's something to do with an android limitation. Not sure why there's not been one for rooted devices though, I'd pay for that.

Do you not read the comments ?.... not working ...
I'm looking for this too. I had even bought Ultimate Voice Recorder based on good experience of it on WinMo, but it wasn't until after more than a week of it running in the background, generating loads of .3gp files did I notice that they were all 0 bytes long.
Kind of ridiculous that this works on 1.5/1.6, but not on 2.x.
using totalrecall here, works beautifully!
@DomFel, are you using a Desire? great news if total recall works on it...

total recall works on desire?
Felt it was necessary to bump this one. I have tested Total recall but it clearly states that it will not record for +2.0 devices.
I'm getting some very unpleasant calls from even more unpleasant people, and desperately need to record calls. Got a great recorder on Winmo (Audio touch note). Is it really so that Winmo haves something that Android even cant support?? I would be surprised if this was so!
Please let me know if you have a working app.
so am i.
im looking for in-call recorder app.. keep me posted..
Hey guys
I am using vRecorder on my desire and it works. There are some annoying features though:
First time you open the app, it will ask you to donate. Just press 0$ and afterwards press the back-button.
The following times when you open the app, it will show you a "commercial" asking you if you want to check out other apps from the developer.
It records all calls (in- and out-going), so there is no record button. It just always records all calls (it is possible to exclude numbers though).
Hope it helps, and let me know if you guys find a better app
Just tried vRecorder and it records my voice but not the other's. Other than that it's great
at mine there was a pre installed in call recorder...but its only called in-call recorder...nothing else..its build by HTC
Just tried vRecorder when I set up a new voicemail greeting. It recorded both sides and it was really good, but then it went rubbish. I worked out why-it's only recording from the microphone and first part when it was good was when I had it on speakerphone. It went really quiet after that, and was only audible as I was in a quiet room and my volume is high. Uninstalled...

Dont forget to star the issue.
So is there any info if this issue will be fixed in Froyo? Or if an app for a rooted Desire have turned up?
Total Recall dont work on my desire 2.2...

Video Tones as "ringtone" ?

Hello,
does any one know an application that can enable videos to be set as ringtones for incoming calls? So far I have found 'Vringo' as a solution but using it didn't allow you to add different videos to different people from the contacts. It allows you to choose only one video.
Thank you in advance.
there should be mivtones (www.mivtones.com) . Never tried it though
Thank you for the tip. i installed it, however the programm is not working properly on my HTC Desire. When i enable it the phone is ringging with the standart ring tone and once i decline the call the video starts playing. I had some issues with the vringo application as well, but it's working fine as long as you don't turn the vibration on.
i had this app on my iphone and its great it will probably be a few updates to work out the bugs but otherwise there support section is good about getting out the best product possible

Low Battery Warning...

i get this warning and i'm no able to use the camara, watch videos or use the music player..does anybody knows how to disable this??
yes, charge your phone
In all seriousness, I hope there is a fix.
This problem has been very annoying for me as well. If I want to take a picture then I want to take a picture. How about just a toast warning of a low battery instead
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
god i really hate the warning, i cant even listen to music.
there has to be a fix for this....
It is rather annoying, I use a third party camera app, as well as the music app from CM5 for the nexus. This allows camera and music activity at any time. Not a fix, but a nice workaround for now.
Sometimes a smartphone is just too smart, I understand that the phone wants to do everything possible to save power, but this should be the decision of the user to disable the camera, music player, etc... hope there's a fix or that team douche is aware of this and make it happen.

Unaudible "Second incoming call" notification

Hi everyone,
I've been running FroyoStone on my HD2 since a while, but I've just noticed this morning that my "Second incoming call notification sound" is unaudible !
To be clear : supposing X is calling me while I'm already online with Y, the screen displays the X caller ID (if the screen is on - for example when I use loudspeaker), but I cannot hear any notification sound...
Would you have a solution to this issue because I've missed many calls recently with that (and my darling is mad to me now although I swore to her I had really not noticed her calls !!! ).
Thanks XDA.
Did you recently mute any application? (e.g. motonav, google navigation)
Try unmuting these applications while they are running and check settings - sound to see if any of the sliders are muted.
Also try unmuting while browser is playing sound from some website.
One of these should fix your problem.
Please give feedback.
Hi and thank-you for your reply.
I've never muted any apps, but tried anyway your tricks. It is still not working.
My phone rings when I receive a "first call" but a second call, while already online, is never notified...
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
weird, I get proper notification with second incoming call.
I would only suggest you the obivious: Backup your current Android folder and temprorarily try another build to see if you get the sound. Thus you can find out if it is build related. Also, do you get notification with winmo?
I've tried to call myself while already online at a moment where everything is very quiet... and I can hear a notification ! Very very tiny one, almost unaudible but it's there !
Would you know a way to make it loudder ?

Painfully slow caller app

After the update to CM12S, the caller app is extremely slow.
I updated my OPO but the issue wasn't there at all. In YU, would tap on the name I want to call, and it literally takes more than one second to start the call !! Any idea what might be the workaround, I tried with Truecaller app as well, same slowness, seems like the slowness is with Contacts app to begin with ...
