WWE/UK version of HD2 delayed in NL

Got a note from pdashop.nl the English version is delayed by at least 3 weeks.
That sucks, anyone knows where to get English version in NL??

Nope,
I hear it yesterday.
HTC deliverd the NL versions again, so there short on units or what so ever...
So the UK version has to wait.

Since you have the NL version, can you try if the leaked official ROM can be flashed to the HD2? I guess you will be able to tell of it can be done before you actually start the flashing of the device.

Not sure, they are official RUU & ROMs for the LEO
I was wondering if any NL HD2 owner could try if changing NL ROM to UK is possible.
Afaik the RUU will actually tell you before the flashing starts, so even if you don't want to really update your NL localised HD2 to UK ROM it would be interesting to know if it is possible now the UK version seems to be delayed.
I don't like NL ROMs but will buy the NL version if I can change to UK before HardSPL comes out. Since Olipro said it is getting more difficult with every new phone I'm expecting it takes at least a number of months before it will be available (if at all...).
So please Dutch HD2 owners, grab the UK ROM and post your findings back here?

Of course you have, but you have the NL ROM.
Can you try the WWE RUU/ROM download and find out if this allows flashing the device from NL to WWE/UK/English?
If this can be done I'm ordering the NL and flash to WWE when it is delivered.

The short version is, even though both are official ROMs, it's not possible without HardSPL due to language differences.

Thanks. Applied the WWE Europe update to my UK HD2. Initial impressions are that typing seems easier.

Probably an unnecessary question, but just to be sure, is this a final & official upgrade? Apparently the leaked beta 1.48 WWE update said on boot "TEST ONLY NOT FOR SALE" (source)

Unfortunattly as I read in another post, they did not solved the camera issue...

Is the final as I read from other guys who test it...but let's see.
It doesn't say that is TEST version...at least the Europe...

They´re all Shipped roms, newest update from HTC to HD2 users.
The diff between the 1.48 and the 1.43 is that some bugs found on 1.43, such as calendar bug, are now fixed, there´s also some updated apps in there, (Messaging, IME, Manila, Social networking, etc..).

What do you guys use for reinstalling all applications after a rom update?
I just updated my ROM from Dutch to English WWE, and do not really want to start installing all the applications again.
Can I make a backup with Spb Backup, and than use the backup to reinstall all the applications?

Maybe it's only for unbranbded phones sold in UK? Gold Card should solve the problem, if you can extract the rom file.

You Have an EASTERN EUROPE rom on your HD2. you need to wait till the same version is released or use the gold card method to flash the Europe WWE version (which is in effect Western europe & WWE)
HTC really need to sort out their rom naming..
We have 4 or 5 WWE rom versions.. they can't all be World Wide English!

Ok, Im new to win mo phones, and I have no idea how to do this.
I currently have HD2 (unlocked) O2 version, with 1.43.206.4 (70315) WWE.
If I download the WWE version of 1.48, what do I do with this file to update the device, what does it keep or lose in the process of updating and can I (and how) backup anything first?

Where did you download this rom, i tried on HTC official page with my phone's serial number and it still tells me ''this software is not suitable for your device'' or something like that. I'm from Croatia so i should be able to download WWE East Europe rom version??

Why can I not finde it in the official HTC page?

this ROM is OK, with new Radio version. Warm recommended, but I use this only for pre-flashing, because this bring me clean base for custom ROM.

Marky55 in case you or anyone else didnt find it: time format can be set in Settings > System > Regional Settings > Time (tab) and set Time Style to HH:mm:ss

Don't blame me for this question - being a newbie, but is there any idea, if this (flash different ROM) will be possible in some days or some weeks, ...
I'm bored, that the windows phone idea is reduced to absurdity by having "market share protecting ?" limits induced by the providers...
I bought the 16GB version (not available in Europe...) from T-Mobile US and now I have no german layout for the keyboard, no dataconnection (ok, I'm using T-Mobile GERMANY not T-Mobile USA - what ridiculous, same company, I thought..)

Please someone correct me if im wrong but the USA version will never work this side of europe because it uses different frequencys for its 3g connection. If you wanted a german hd7 with 16gb why didint you buy it from o2 de? https://service.o2online.de/portal/...ostpaid&hwid=4510+070046+00&tid=N-HWO-H-NC-20
Also you cant flash euro roms to the US version because of the type of radio software. even if we had a HARDSPL

Only in the summer of 2011 this will appear
Until someone discover the way to create an Goldcard or HSPL, we can't change roms.

That's not possible at the moment.
I have one HD7 equal yours and gives Vendor Id error.
we will have to wait for HSPL or another thing different to install other HD7 roms.

But what makes me strange is that if we have an unlocked phone (even if we bought in O2 ou Orange or another network) why can we apply a custom WWE/European rom?? If the phone is unlocked it means he can work in any country with any operator so by comparison we could install another rom (i think )

the phone is only unlocked to be used for other operators , The vendor ID didn't change and due to that you can only flash rom's that are signed by that vendor

normally that are different vendors confused: o2 DE , o2 UK) but you could just try if you want/need to flash (you just get an error nothing more )
what phone do you have (operator ) ?

me to , I don't see the point to flash a rom right now , the only thing changed are some OEM things (like ie explorer homepage , AND I DON'T want change that)

My phone works excellent here in Portugal, I don't need to change anything for now...I'm checking the rumours about the updates that will came from MS in January and February and that makes me even more happy with the phone and software that I have for the moment

So did everything ended well? The upgrade I mean? I also downloaded the ROM with atreidex serial but havent installed it yet. ROM is 1.37.70.1 that should be English language (according to HTC) but I am asking cause I would not wanna end up with my touch2 on Romanian, and I do want to upgrade.

i don't know what is updated in this Orange ROM. I only want this because i was hoping, that there are some newer EXT packages or something but the EXT Packes are older than the EXT packages of the official ASIA WWE ROM.
So, i think it's not useful for me. I only want to take a look at the Orange-Homescreen because the Orange-Homescreen für SPV500 was very popular...
