Thx anyway

Hi,
interesting. I would also like to get rid of it, but I could not find Locations where you found it.
I have TF2D v 3. On my phone the tab is labeled Maps Search and it is connected with Google Maps. Any suggestions?

Use TC (or any other registry editor)
\\ Plugins - Registry - HKLM - Software - HTC -Manila2d ... removed the locations key

The problem is as I said before - I do not have key called 'Locations' anywhere under HKLM. I can't see it and registry search did not find it either.
Most reverse engineering posts and tweaks are about one year old. I bought my phone recently and my TF2D is version 3. HTC must have changed things.
I will try the Manila Customiser.

I've tried to change icons and apps with Mobile registry Editor.
Thank you very much
check out this thread. i found it very useful

To SpeedUp Touch Flo with a regisrty editor goto HKLM\Software\HTC\Biotouch\Biotouch\ change and change "DownFPS", "LightFPS" and "UpFPS" from 15 to 50 ]
Since this site is called xda-developers am I safe in assuming that there are a lot of programmers/developers that hang out here? I'm wondering if anyone would be interested in writing a small app that presented a nice user interface for customising the cube rather than requiring people to dive into the registry? I assume this would be similar to what HTC Home Customizer does for the HTC Today plugin but I'm only guessing because I'm currently deviceless (my Artemis died) so I can't actually play with any of this stuff yet.

Actually, an app like this already exists in the Elf forum. I tried to install it on my TC and I got an error message. Then I tried to drum up some interest in modding it for the TC in this thread, but nobody has responded as yet. Unfortunately, I'm a golf pro not a programmer - otherwise I'd try to do it myself.
Thanks for that psargent. I just contributed to your thread.

I'm sorry mate...but those programs can't be removed like that...You either have to stick with it and just don't use them, or you have to use another ROM for your device...try one of the cooked ROMS which are floating around on the forum.....In the appropriate thread the chef can tell you all the information which programs are on the ROM!
Good luck!

Don't know why the programs you removed are still visible or installed. Maybe a soft reset will make them disappear..
But I guess those other programs are cooked in your stock or cooked ROM. If so, then you won't see them in Remove Programs and you can't delete them..
If you really want a "clean" Diamond without those and other programs, you can try flashing a so called "light" or "lite" version of the Diamond ROM's served by XDA's chefs.
thanx guys

i have an htc touch pro from sprint, and i have a problem after installing tf3d config 0.67.
the problem is that the language changed when i add a city in the weather tab and i cannot find USA.
i know that weather database editor is a work around but is there any other way to fix this f*up that the tf3d config program did without a hardreset?
thank you in advance to anyone that is willing to chime in.
i tried searching for this and posting it on the tf3d 0.67 config thread but no one replied in days.

Did you remember to do the bit about dragging your files onto the Unsigner app? TF3d isn't available on my HD after doing a change until I do that step

Use the latest version of SSMaPa, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=447481&highlight=ssmapa. It will do the unsigining function for you. I have iContact and PocketInformant running as replacement just fine.
I just completed this process 20 mins ago. I think the alphs 0.2.2.2 is the latest released 11/19/08. But I'm pretty sure its the same in respect to the automatic unsigning.
Now its linked to Pocketinformant ..... Niiiicccceee.
Oh.. do a search in This thread for "TF3d Customizer". Thats the name of the thread. I think its on page 10 or 11 right now.
Second post, the person gives a really good detail how to link this.

just downloaded, many thanks friend!
Is there away to map TF3D "All People" to Pocket Informant--contacts? Is it the same path as the Calendar?
I successfully mapped the calendar to a specific view in PI8. But I dont know if it will work with the contacts. It seems like once you apply this patch, if it dont work then you are messed up and have to HARD RESET.
If it does work, do "Menu" work in TF3D?

NaviPanel -> TomTom -> Freezes

Hello,
Since a week or two I am the proud owner of the HTC Touch Cruise II. I was trying to 'fix' TomTom to make it cappable of using 'free' maps on the internet (With help of the EasyUseTool). The preinstalled TomTom didnt allow this so I used another version I found on the internet (uninstall the old and install the new). I got TomTom working with Western and Central europe map but then NaviPanel didnt load TomTom anymore. So I edited the registry to make it connected to TomTom again (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=3519228). But when I push Navigator now it will freeze with the turing windows thingy. Anyone got a solution?
summary:
HTC Touch Cruise II
TomTom 7.915.9169
Preinstalled TomTom deleted replaced for other TomTom. NaviPanel links do not work anymore. Fix with register -> freeze.
Thanks in advance!
Hey hey,
anyone got an answer on my question? I searched all over the internet. Thanks in advance.
Grtz,
Roben
The NaviPanel works only with the branded (original) TomTom, with PaPaGo, with CoPilot and NaviTel. Other solutions of navsoft not works with NaviPanel. I think, your installed TomTom is different from the original branded TomTom, so will NaviPanel hangs up.
Solution:
Unlock the hardware Buttons (looks here) and set up the navigation-button with your version of TomTom.
Greetz Mirko
Hey,
Thanks for trying to help but it is not that my hardware buttons don't work. I can perfectly start TomTom by pushing the navigation button (above the green horn). It is just that NaviPanel does not work completly. Before I was able to push "To home" (naar huis), "Adress" (adres), "Recent location" (recente bestemming) and "Navigation" navigatie. When I use one of those buttons now it will be stuck with the turning windows logo (after I did the reg key edit, before it didnt do anything at all).
In order words, all the navigation buttons of the NaviPanel do not work. The rest does.
Thanks in advance!
You have 4 dll-files in the "Windos" - directory.
(NaviSWMiddle_CoPilot.dll
NaviSWMiddle_NaviTel.dll
NaviSWMiddle_PaPaGo.dll
NaviSWMiddle_TomTom.dll)
These 4 dll-files makes the start of the navisoft in navipanel. Isn´t a link, its the dll. NaviSWMiddle_TomTom.dll - in this time - works only with the original branded TomTom.
In registry you can set up four other Navsoft:
CoPilot
NaviTel
PaPaGo
TomTom
(all original branded)
Greetings Mirko
So it is actually waiting for a guru who can edit the .dll? I tried to open the dll with a reshacker but I wasnt able to (I didnt try real hard). Is anyone able to make this compatible?
Grtz

\HKLM\Software\HTC\NaviSW
is the path, the entry is "middlelayerDLL"
Greetings Mirko
Hi Mirko,
Thanks, I think you missuderstand my question, actually i am trying to add button 2 in
HKLM\software\shell\key. I add in a name there and string. I manage to delete the string but just cant manage to delete the name key.
I follow the other post to disable papago as default navigator in NaviSW. and bmomail ask to allocate button 2 to set as garmin xt. Problem start from there. Hope this is give you better picture.
Garmin XT isn´t able to set it on the NavPanel, because isn´t a dll for garmin on the Iolite. You need a specific dll like NaviSWMiddle_TomTom.dll for this. The dll is not editable with ressource editors.
The key, you will delete, try this with SK-Tools, this tool can delete entire regkeys. I hope, i has understand you now right.
Greetings!
Thanks for explanation. Does this mean if i am not using the papago, the navipanel hardware button will be useless for me?

Yes, it is, the dll´s are only useable for the branded OEM-versions.

So today I thought lets call HTC them self hoping they have got a solution. I called the service centre europe in the Netherlands. I explained that the phone freezes when starting up TomTom through navipanel. The guy was really trying to help but he had advices like "hard-reset the phone" and "install the original version". He also said that HTC worked together with company's like TomTom to test which PocketPC version is the best for the HTC Touch Cruise 09'. It does sound a bit like a cartel, doesn't it? You cant even choose your own navigation software because the phone doesn't support it. Actually it does support just a feature (=NaviPanel, the reason I bought the phone) doesn't. He advices to contact TomTom because HTC is not going to do anything about it. With other words... I am screwed untill some bright guy would like to do a favour for a lot of people ^^.
