2 questions...
1) Under regional settings, is there anyway to get additional regions? There's no Hong Kong or Asian regions on mine. Noticed that my rom is the US 1.03. Am I supposed to have another if I'm located in Hong Kong?
2) I know that normally the IDD code is "+". In Hong Kong using the standard IDD "+" is very expensive, thus they have other codes such as "1638" for Smartone, and "1718" for HKCSL. I don't want to have to add this to every international number I have since we're not allowed to edit a phone number before the XDA 2 dials it from contacts (right?). So, is it possible to set the XDA 2 so that if it sees a "+", it dials another code instead?
Any help out there is greatly appreciated.
Hi ! I'd like to register my Wizard on T-Mobile website however it need to send a SMS to the mobile but it seems unavailable to put a HK mobile phone number.
May I know if there are any way to register ?

i was facing the same problem.. and after some googling.. i got this page.
Download a wizard which lets you install connection settings for your device (Web, WAP, MMS) for a selection of mobile operators.
UK operators [O2, Orange, T-Mobile, Vodafone...]
France [SFR, Orange, Bouygues...]
Germany [O2, T-mobile, E-plus, Vodafone...]
Italy [Vodafone, Wind, TIM, 3]
Spain [Movistar, Orange, Vodafone]
Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland

i know it shows a different phone.. but it does work with wizard atleast.. i am sure i will work with any ppc by HTC.
At the bottom of the page.. clicl download under Network setting wizard section.. Just tick the check box on the next page and select your country from the list.. it will give you a exe file.. run it ...and you are ready to go online...
IT WILL HAVE THE SETTINGS FOR MOST OF THE CARRIER ON THE SELECTED COUNTRY.
it worked for me.. hope this will help you guys as well..

One odd thing is that after installing this update i could not make any USB connections any more. I am working on it.

Well i don;t think it has got anything to do with USB..
as its just create a dialup setting. i never faced any problem so far.. i use this everytime i load a new rom.. and i have always been successful..

The only difference I could discover is the portnumber choosen in the account.
It's now 5080, was 9201. (orange NL)
But finally working!!

I am in New Zealand and have purchased an ex AT&T Samsung Focus. Love WP 7.5 but cant send or recieve txt pictures. I doubt Telecom N.Z and AT&T use different protocols.
So its either a software incompatability or the that my focus tells Teleco N.Z that the phone is a AT&T model.
So I seem to have two options Change the ROM to a different version of WP7.5 or edit the Carrier name. Depends what is causing Telecom to lock me out of picture sharing?
If I edit the Carrier name what do I out in its place to indicate its a Telecom phone.

I bought mine from Australia and I going to use it in India. Both the country supports Samsung Pay. But will it work if I tried to add an Indian card into the app? India has quiet number of payment types supported which doesn't exists in Australia.

You can add cards from any region on a device from any region as long as the bank is supported by Samsung Pay and make payments with it. However, if you need regional options like PayTm wallets, UPI or Loyalty cards then you will need to install the appropriate region firmware. I wouldn't flash my phone just for SPay because I can add any card on my SPay regardless of the region and there are dedicated apps for non-card payment types like PayTM so it's not a big deal.
