i saw ppl looking for the the GPRS settings.. of different carriers..
i was facing the same problem.. and after some googling.. i got this page.
Download a wizard which lets you install connection settings for your device (Web, WAP, MMS) for a selection of mobile operators.
UK operators [O2, Orange, T-Mobile, Vodafone...]
France [SFR, Orange, Bouygues...]
Germany [O2, T-mobile, E-plus, Vodafone...]
Italy [Vodafone, Wind, TIM, 3]
Spain [Movistar, Orange, Vodafone]
Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland

i know it shows a different phone.. but it does work with wizard atleast.. i am sure i will work with any ppc by HTC.
At the bottom of the page.. clicl download under Network setting wizard section.. Just tick the check box on the next page and select your country from the list.. it will give you a exe file.. run it ...and you are ready to go online...
IT WILL HAVE THE SETTINGS FOR MOST OF THE CARRIER ON THE SELECTED COUNTRY.
it worked for me.. hope this will help you guys as well..

One odd thing is that after installing this update i could not make any USB connections any more. I am working on it.

Well i don;t think it has got anything to do with USB..
as its just create a dialup setting. i never faced any problem so far.. i use this everytime i load a new rom.. and i have always been successful..

The only difference I could discover is the portnumber choosen in the account.
It's now 5080, was 9201. (orange NL)
But finally working!!

Does anybody now how to setup mms service properly for T-Mobile Austria?
I use the german ROM 1.60.00GER in Austria because T-Mobile Austria deoes not offer a newer rom version. So the predefined settings wont work in Austria.
GPRS internet and POP3 mail works properly with austrian settings "gprsinternet"

Would anyone be able to take the time to post here in detail the settings for O2 MMS in Ireland on a contract bill plan?
I was on to o2 support but it didn't work and got the impression the staff wasn't really up to 100% on the XDA - probably more used to regular cellphones.
I'd appreciate the help from someone with a working mms service on o2 contract.

you could try the o2 website,
there is a section in mms area (get the settings), which allows you to send yourself the appropriate settings via sms.
try it anyway and let us know how u get on.
I'm in the north so the settings may not be applicable for your region.

Cheers, but they only allow you to send the settings and install them automatically by sms. There's no option to send to an XDA - just Nokia etc...
Can someone just copy them down here from their o2 monthly contract XDA?

I'm not sure if N. Ireland settings are the same for Galway but sure, let's see!
For a start, does it connect via MMS Network, or GPRS or My ISP, or The Internet etc.?
I can't send at all. But I do receive notifications of a new mms and who it's from, but when I tap download it tries to download but gets stuck there forever without succeeding. Here's what I got from o2 support but it doesn't work.
Connect to server O2IE (the server name)
Gateway - 192.168.090.074
Server address http://mmsc.mms.o2.ie:8002 (I think!)

O2 here tried to help so I guess I'm registered for these services.
GPRS works fine the prob is just MMS

sorry this took so long, got kinda busy elsewere.
have just looked and the connection was set on My Work Network,
I thought it was/should be, via the MMS network.
will have to try and see if it is still working.
the rest of the settings you gave matched mine except for the .ie replacing the .uk, and different gateway no's, this again could be a UK thing.
If I remember correctly I had some serious trouble at the beginning, I think it was something to do with the Rom version, when I upgraded it from 1.60, the MMS service started to function perfectly.

Hi Conor,
If you unlock your extended rom, there will be a couple of files relating to O2 customisation. It's made easier by using the horrible Active Today settings which can custimise your device for use in Ireland. I'm sure the settings are also made for the mms program. (sorry, I don't use it myself!)
As for the rom version, I think the lastest O2 rom is 1.66 which is available from their site, you could also go to version 1.72 which is available from this site. I'm at 1.72 and think it's fine.

I've got a UK Vodafone 1605 "out-of-the-box" so if you know where to find the settings I will be happy to copy them out for you
Are you able to access Vodafone Live? I have managed to configure and get internet access but NOT vodafone live.
If you can access voda live then I hope to grab some settings from you

They where for a I-Mate K-Jam, but I believe they will be all the settings you required.

Anyone have a CAB for Vodafone NZ? I have never managed to get Vodafone Live working on my Hermes WM5. I was told by VF Oz that I needed to install a WAP browser as IE doesn't support WAP - is this true or a load of b*llocks? Presumably if IE works I just browse to an address i.e. http://www.vodafonelive.co.nz
Any help appreciated.

Sure do in most places. Some more remote places then no but that goes for Oz too! Been browsing and think I have found the answer to my question:

LMAO you probably have better coverage than telstra does, there was talk of Telstra buying into NZ telecos at one stage
Please all take a minute to let me know what the most common used cell carriers are for our neotouch users here, i will use the data to add data connectivity/mms support for my ROMs

MMS is exactly why i started this thread, as far as me... my mms doesnt auto config with this jataayu crap....after i get a good idea of what carriers are used most ill try to throw the files in the rom
I tryed sending an mms with my brothers sim card,he has an mms enabled data plan, and i couldn't send mms, im on att, but after i pop hes sim card out i check t, my active data connections and there it was 'att mms" and so i went into start/office mobile 2010/text/menu/mms settings, then on the mms profiles tab, there's a profile "mms default" i hit edit all the settings are there atleast for att mms, and i dint put them there, i still haven't tested if i can send mms after this profile appeared , as i haven't use my brothers sim, im gonna test this tomorrow, to see if i can indeed send mms, since the proper settings are there, anyways il post the test results tomorrow.
