Sync Calendar Problem - myTouch 3G, Magic General

I have wrote a new event to my HTC Magic, but I can't sync the new event to Google Calendar. I have pressed in Setting > Data Sync > Calendar which the device display the latest update time and date.
Why I can't sync the new event to Google Calendar with my device?

I've had a similar issue. Try adding the data with your calendar online (google) and sync the other way. Works for me.

by default, new event is added to "My Calendar" (i.e. your Magic)
you can change it when you creating new event under "Calendar"
please note that only new event can choose the "Calendar"

So when I add a new event on my Magic, there is no way for it to show up on Google Calendar online (ie. my PC)? I know if I added the event on Google Calendar online it will sync up with my Magic and add the event to my Magic's calendar, but it doesn't work vise versa for some odd reasona and I find it annoying. Is there a way to do that?

Unable to synchronize appointment created on phone with Outlook (PC)

Hi,
I've just tested the synchronization of Contacts and Calendar with the Hero, and I can't seem to get it to synchronize appointments made on the phone to Outlook on my PC. I have the latest version of HTC Sync (2.0.4) installed. I haven't changed any of the default settings.
Anyone else have the same problem? Please test it.
Thank you.
when you create new events in the phone calendar, you need to attend to the top-most drop-down, which is to which calendar the new event should be added. The choices are "My Calendar", "Outlook", and then your Google Calendars listed.
If you get this wrong, the sync won't work as expected. The default is the first in the list "My Calendar", and I took ages wondering why it wouldn't sync to my Google Calendar, which was the third in the list.
Then I read about this in another thread, set my google cal when creating a new event, and it did sync.
tedious though.
I can second this.
Just change the Calendar to Outlook and it will sync as expected.
Caught me out also!
Thank you sooooo much!
and if you go into "calendars" you can permanently de-select the ones you don't use - all but Google in my case, perhaps all but Outlook in yours - and then it should be fine. And I think the new event calendar selector remembers your last choice anyway.

Automatic Event in Calendar

I use WinMo 6.5 and my own ROM having Sense 2.5
I'm dependent on the following feature.
Enter the "Date of Birth" and / or "Anniversary" dates to contacts. Save the contacts and Sync it with Windows using ActiveSync or WMDC. This automatically creates birthday / anniversary events in Calendar. This helps me a lot.
Is this auto event generation there in Android?
Any info on this might help me to migrate to Android.
I think so, but I've never used it. Go to Google Calendar (on computer), under "Other calendars": Add -> Browse Interesting Calendars -> More -> Contacts' birthdays and events
(I think this requires your contacts to be in Google's Cloud)

Calendar, could I set default Google calendar not My calendar?

Hi people!!
Well, I need my pc and my PDA sync calendars without connecting them everytime, so I discovered that if when I'm creating a new appointment in the calendar I select to save it in google calendar (My calendar default) then I see this appointment in Google calendars in my pc automatically, so I can sync it with outlook with google calendar sync.
But this only work if I select to save it in Google calendar, not in my calendar, so, can I erase "My calendar" and have only Google calendar? Or just make default google calendar it would be ok also!
The last question, can I disable that syncing Facebook account countacts put birthdays into calendar too?¿
Thanks a lot

Touch Calendar events not syncing to Google Calendar

When I add an event using Touch Calendar on my phone (HTC Desire Z) it is listed in a green font, and does not get replicated to my Google Calendar. If I enter an event in my Google Calendar on the web it DOES get replicated to my phone however.
I have Touch Calendar configured to show all calendars. One of the listed calendars is "PC Sync", which is where I believe all events are being entered by default.
Even if I choose not to display the PC Sync calendar it seems to put new events into it.
Can anyone advise on how I can my events going to the my Google Calendar instead?

[Q] Old calendar entries non present on SGS

I set the synchronization between my Galaxy S Calendar and my Google Calendar account, but I found that events older than 1 months are not present in my device calendar; all the entries are correctly present on Google calendar account. The synchronization is fully working for present and future event. I installed also Jorte and Business Calendar (perfectly working...!)
Is there any function that automatically deletes old calendar events? How can I disable it? How can I sync old events?
Thank you

Set the phone date to earlier than the oldest missing calendar entry and then re-sync. If the oldest entry missing is prior to 2000 (froyo) then you have to do the Google import game in the calendar.
