Here are some tips on the game:
Open config.cfg
change player_name={yourname} - the nick you want to use for the game
always_run={1} - to make it always run - moves a lot faster, i have played fallout 2 with always run it is a lot easyer and faster
the status things must be set to off because they eat aditional resources (you may try them before disable them):
show_fps={0}
memory_status={0}
battery_status={0}

Great! Download and testing now

I just got this but is it all in russian? Im gonna try it out in the morning and post back.

ok well I answered my own question there are two downloads one in russian and one in english

Yep, instructions link is dead. Downloading english now and will update tomorrow. Hope it works out good, loved fallout 4 on xbox 360! Way too short of a game though, wish it was as long as Oblivion. Oh well. Thanks!

45mb??

before You get overexcited let me clarify few things:
- it is not a port. it's fallout-like product (clone as devs would like to call it) without an option to play original f1, f2 files. it's got it's own story which takes place in Russia
- translation to english is HORRIBLE. I really hope that someone like hotforwords is going to help those guys to make it useful.
- it does work quite well, but gameplay is slightly different from original.
anyway... this may be interesting in the future, but all my hopes are with soon-to-be-released fpsece 0.1.

siemasz nothin...
1. f1/2 story can be made indeed, but converting all the files may take ages. whatever...
2. I won't translate it, as my native language is not russian, so that's why I have suggested that some proper translator should be used instead of some pc translator.
3. well... I would be careful saying many years, as this project is alive and near completion. some Russian hackers have stolen some alpha version of it, but schtruck and ldchen have decided to continue their work anyway. I would say that it's a matter of weeks to get it finished. please follow fpsece forum before saying something silly...

salut!
i know that.
i am on their forums since ...2005...i dont especially care about saying "something silly" there, you know, i can live without 0.10...i have atari st, amiga, atari xl, c64, snes, nes, gb, gba, cps1, cps2, sega, pc emulators for ppc, so i can handle..
i am just bored by waiting..
problem is, that nobody cares about stolen version, people just want to have something useful.
btw, look closely - you'll know WHO exactly stole thing(it took me 20 mins to know that) - just look on 4pda.ru forum.
-------
btw, bronx , are you author of pocketfallout?
if so, i must say it is impressive job!
but need to ask:
why game's crashing just after i kill something(ants, scorpions), ants - 30% chance, scorpions almost 100% chance.
i have redownloaded zip, still same problem.
i have plenty of memory free, xscale cpu, still crashing.
next thing: why you used such strange pathfinding method...it is SO annoying now..i've seen on russian subforum exact visualisation of the problem made by someone.
small idea: scrolling might be i.e. 10 px step instead of nightmarish fluid BUT slow method..
impatiently waiting for answer, or next versions,
best regards...

hm... I am really confused now. where did You get it from that I am the author of PF?? no, I am not an author of it and I am not related with anyone involved in this project.
imho this game does have quite large potential indeed, but it is nothing really special at this stage.
regarding fpsece I don't really care about who was that hacker, the important thing is that project isn't dead. don't get me wrong, but I beileve that real psx emu is kind of an ultimate thing in gaming on pocket pc and while other emus are entertaining, I would swap ALL of them just for this one after it's complete.
jeszcze raz pozdrawiam i do poczytania to tu, to tam...

p.s. sorry for the offtop guys

ok tried it out n so far here r my impression
i tried it out on my wizard and it worked the graphics were beatutiful n the opening sequence was so much like fallout the origional i had flashback but unfortunatly my wizard just aint strong enough to play it needs more power ah wel
but besides tht i tried it out on my PC and i found
one like someone said before the translation unfortunately leaves much to be desired
two n this is thw worst part on running through the trial building behind tht preast when i get to tht locked door i open it using the hack option but as soon as i step through it it hangs i tried it different ways but same results hopefully there would b some kind of fix for it

I've been doing 3d graphics development for a while, and it's really exciting to finally own a Windows Mobile device that has hardware acceleration.
I'm also primarily a managed developer, and I know a lot of people are in the same boat. If you're looking to access the 3d hardware acceleration of the HTC Touch Diamond, then you will be interested in this managed library for OpenGL. The download includes the full source for the wrapper and the sample "spinning triangle" application that goes with it.
Have fun coding, and let me know if you find any bugs!

So the rendering is done by the GPU rather than CPU - didn't think anyone accessed the hardware yet through the driver???
By querying the device via D3D and OpenGL, you can verify that they are both indeed hardware accelerated. Incidentally, it was the Diamond drivers that provided a breakthrough for hackers to provide hardware acceleration for the Kaiser devices.

Thanks! Functionally, it is a complete implementation of a way to access OpenGL through managed code. However, there are some small things I want to do to make it easier for developers to write applications for OpenGL.
Implement/port GLU
Implement/port GLUT
Change the constants that are passed into OpenGL into enums so that it makes it easier for to see a list of valid arguments in Intellisense. This will also address some of the loose typing that is typical of OpenGL.
Implement a fixed point sample that works with the Vincent 3D software implementation of OpenGL.
Thanks for the great news. But how about the unmanaged way (c++)? Which header file(s) should be referenced?

You *should* be able to use the libs and headers provided by the Vincent3D software OpenGL implementation. Just don't copy the Libgles_cm.dll to your device, or it will actually use software rendering instead. My website post has a link to that site.
You will want to link to libgles_cm.lib and just #include gl.h and egl.h.

Studied on Microsoft's XNA last half year, have been wanting to try if I could use any of it on the Diamond. If not, I guess this is the next best thing atm. Thanks
Played around a little bit with that and built something to load Milkshape 3D models and display them... Not too much horsepowers in the GPU though. I guess some really old-school 3D skills are required to get decent graphics out of the chip.
Is there any info on how much RAM is dedicated to the graphics chip? I wonder if things are mostly fillrate limited there or if texture count is the real impact. Maybe I'll try that later on with a number of simple but all differently textured models with loads of overdraw so the Z-Buffer can pretty much eliminate fillrate limitations to see if texture size is the real problem here. Once that is found out it shouldn't be too hard to get a little game-world up and running.
I'm thinking in the lines of a G-Sensor driven rollerball thingie for starters - a little bit like tweeter from a 3rd person perspective with some interesting levels? If that runs smoothly on the diamond it would be a real show-off kind of game
The thing I haven't done before here is the physics part. Obviously you wouldn't want to run a fully fledged physics simulation (ODE comes to mind here) especially when doing it in C# - but there should be enough CPU power to handle some sphere-? collisions in a timely manner?
Cheers,
Alex

Yes, you can read the 3d text in the demos.
But with the drivers installed they run a lot slower!
Maybe vsync enabeld/disabled.

My list of (useful) Apps and Games.

Hello Everyone. Now i have tried lot of apps and games on my mega. i remember when i was a new user, for some months i just couldn't find a proper game to play on it. and i am sure most of you new users are going through same problem. i will provide the names now and its upto you to decide. Enjoy.
Now i wont be giving links or how to get them. use your mind and Google. otherwise PM me.
1: Total Commander: Best file explorer imo.
2: Microsoft My Phone: Most of you don't know what it its, either hate it or don't have it. it comes in stock rom and imo is an extremely useful app. backup just got EASY.
3: Point Chase: Extremely addicting game. Get the free one (or paid) either way you will be taking yourself to limits. Nice time pass.
4: Minesweeper: By Huaxing YUAN (version:1.0.2009.110) this is the best. i found this minesweeper to be better than all others.
5: Asphlat4 3D: Racing You said? well that's what i wanted. my dream coming true on this phone. The best racing app series there can be for mobiles. Trust me! you would be enjoying this one. Just admire the control work from the developers! and you can even flip the screen anyway you want. Multiplayer? oh yes! This one has it all.
6:CorePlayer: All you need to playback various formats on your Mega.
7: MiTo Team Paint: Really fun and useful app. No need of notepad now, Painting got much easier and fun.
8: Opera10: I dare say! Best app for browsing Internet. Extremely fast, reliable, efficient and smooth. (but it wont uninstall built in Opera9, it will stay)
Maybe you would like to also share with us where to find each program?

Another great application is Advanced Config, which lets you boost the performance of your PPC (not for unassuming ppc users though). Again available in this site only or .... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=418151.
M2DC a great app which allows you to modify your M2D (like removing a tab you never use?) to a great extent (do I need to say AGAIN that you will find it in this site ? ) well.... for lazy bums like me http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=427392

Thank you for your posts!! But can't we just use JBlend (already in the phone) instead of Esmertec Jbed?

Not happy with Android

Android has a long road to catch with iOS4 - im very depressed with the lack of quality control in the Android OS - it sucks - I guess it teaches Google that going from web devolpment to other plataforms is not that easy.
The App Store doesn't have any sort of quality control or centralized payment system.
There isn't a way to remove your Google ID from your phone.
I'm very unhappy with my phone - Iphone is much better. So many cool apps that will never appear on the Android thanks to Google incompetence
What were you expecting?
Everything is different, if you wanted an iPhone, you should buy an iPhone, not expect a different product to be exactly the same.
This has nothing to do with the X10 though. Is there an "Android" forum on here, not for any particular phone, but for the OS itself?
(Edit: Google Checkout seems pretty "centralized" to me... dunno what you mean about that.)

Yeah - I believe in complaining - I want more and better and I expect much more from Google.

Wow slow down man, a long road for iOS yes, Android is far far far better then iOS. My wife owns an iphone 4 and every time i pick it up to play with it i just feel sorry for it (swipe left, swipe right ) beleive me man Android is for MEN real MEN iphone is for people that have no computer orientation whatsoever it just works and thats it. For me i really cant beleive how much behind iOS is, you cant do anything on it! I dont know wich world you live in but please explain how is android behind? explain man.. Seriously i dont mean to be rude or anything but sometimes when i hear something like that i want to smack myself in the head because i cant beleive there is people stupid enough to claim that kind of thing... iOS is like you bought a house that you cant furnish the way you want, you cant decorate it the way you want, you cant repaint it, you cant do **** with it except open the fridge and eat whatever is in it weather you like it or not, or you want a softer bed but you cant change it, you want a different couch? guess what you cant change it....anything you want to change or have your way you cant! you can only use it however you bought it .... i hope you get the point. Android keeps amazing me everyday more and more of how you can change anything you want! And modify your phone in so many ways, i have a different look every week . its just ridiculous the amount if customization you can do. Seriously and to have all that with an good looking phone with great hardware, fast and reliable is just plain amazing. So whats up with that "quality of the whole package" what do you mean? i think you are really confused , are you?Cause i am. So please explain yourself..

Honestly, I do not think Apple is better than Android. They're simply too different ios. Theirs things that Apples os does better and theirs things that Android ios does better. Think about it. You probably say you prefer Apple over Android because you don't have froyo 2.2 on your phone yet. Android is amazing in my opinion. Full web content via adobe flash 10.1 (iphone cannot do every website in flash), you can not change the ui like Android, free turn by turn voice navigation, the ability to do something as simple as make phone calls and not have them drop because you do not have a case on your phone. Not one android phone needs a case to make a phone call. Apple is just now offering multitask, Android has been doing this since day one! One of the reasons why most people think iphone is the best is because of Apples marketing. Apple is smart when it comes to marketing. They only sold 3 different models (correct me if I'm wrong). 3g, 3gs and 4g and they all look similar so almost all accessories can be used through them all, they have millions of accessories. They have "i"everything. idock, ialarm, i etc. They are very smart! iphone isn't a bad phone but I do not think Android sucks compared to Apple like you make it sound. If you like iphone so bad then sell your phone or trade it for an iphone. Thanks for letting me vent.

To the OP. You are honestly the first person ive ever heard say this. Most people are blown away by Android, especially considering how new it is. Most will agree it is more robust and more powerful and has much much more potential than iOS.

OP When you buy a phone, smart or otherwise, you should have a look at the operating as the OS and it app support and layout are the selling points to any phone. you should have enquired into how apps are paid for before you paid the money for the phone.
If YOU forgot to check if the things that were important to YOU ar present in OS then its really your fault not googles

Stop winging on the forums that's not what they're for

(ROM) Abridged for Music

Preeminently, I have always wanted to contribute to the Eris community. This is my first rom, although don't assume I'm adept at this specific criteria. It is based off CyanogenMod, without it this would have never happened. From what I recall, there was a thread that stated a rom should be made for the Eris as music player.
Hence I felt I should contribute since I had leisure time. So I removed all the applications that would intrude to make the Eris a pure mp3 player.
I bring to you the Abridged Rom.
I removed vexing signal bars in the status bar.
It is ICS themed.
Holo launcher, which is surreal to the ICS launcher.
Holo locker, it is relevant to Jelly Bean lock screen.
Battery script by Decad3nce = XDA. To activate, go to Terminal Emulator, type su for superuser permission; then type batt-cfg.
To make the launcher load smoother, press "Menu" then "Launcher Settings", go to "Desktop Settings" then tick "Wallpaper Scrolling" off.
If the Android lock screen intercedes with the Holo Locker application, got to Holo Locker then turn it "off" then "on".
Got the keyboard to work, just got to Settings>Language & Keyboard> Select Language> (choose) English (United States). That's if you prefer that language.

Okay, for some peculiar and vague reason 2shared thrashed my links, they do not work. I have deleted those builds, I have no idea why. Though I have preserved some not all. (I feel ashamed). I will upload them in my Skydrive, thus never having to worry about anything being deleted or any obstructions.
Only this bottom one works

Skydrive (Including remnants of my builds)

Newest is called HTC Eris Beats 11, I presume, enjoy.
(Now I come to realize that once you sign into Google Play, force closes will concur. Unfortunately up until now I could not fix, it could be evaded by not registering Google Play or if you have registered already then just disable sync in "Settings>Accounts&Sync" I apologize for any inconvenience "
No need to flash gapps.
Just wipe dalvik x3 then wipe data.
Then flash.
Extraneous Post
Update!
cm-7-20130301-NIGHTLY-desirec, enjoy
Updated the market once again; and a few minor tweaks as well.
Same concept as the predating release.
Enjoy.
Beats column just a modification in the system to have better sound, discrepant from the original Abridged Rom; same base, everything. Just the Beats Audio is irrelevant to the initial.
(MOD)Beats Audio(2.3+up) by RockoDev; credit to him. It was referred by Izeltokatl, thanks.

Just give me a little bit since I accidentally ran the battery into the ground. I want to give it enough charge so it doesn't die half way through boot.
Just giving it a little break in. Not bad.
Although, I seem to have created a slight issue here, where I doubled the lockscreens.

I'm assuming the ICS themed lockscreen runs independently of the normal lockscreens?
EDIT: I figured it out. I missed a line about Holo locker in your instructions.

Actually, this might be a ROM that sticks around on mine for awhile. I do like how you stripped most of the phone functionality out so I don't have all that additional clutter (and possibly saving RAM? I haven't really investigated that). But hey for your first ROM, this seems to working pretty well.

From what I see it does save RAM, which is crucially vital to the Eris, not only that battery durability excrescences dramatically. Which is very desirable for anyone.
I am the guy that wanted a ROM that turned the Eris into a music player. Having attempted to use TheMP3Rom, and found that it doesn't work, I am glad you made this. I am downloading it and trying it now. You have my thanks for making this happen, and I hope that the development cycle on this lasts a while, because even just the thread on that other rom is dead.
Just to clarify, that command for the battery script is "su batt-cfg" and not "su" followed by "batt-cfg" right?
Also, LOVE the boot animation. Best one I've seen. Also also, what version of CM is it based on?
Oh, one more to try on my trusty eris. I should find the beats hacks and post here, would make a fine addition to this Rom. It should work as its generic enough to work on my touchpad.

having ordained this ROM as to what i have perceived it to be, i doth proclaim that this ROM is awesome!! :highfive:
i decided to break out the old eris to use as a spare TiVo remote around the house, and i stumble across this! great job, this is exactly what i needed to bring the eris back into rotation.
certain apps don't seem to be getting proper root access or working with superuser correctly. i don't expect to use the phone for anything other than as a TiVo remote, occasional music player, and spontaneous google searches, so i won't be using many apps that NEED root access... but that's the only "issue" i've come across. great work!

My Tracks
Thanks, Spartan, for a great little ROM! I just pulled the Eris out hoping to revive it as a companion for my bike. Works great for music - sleek & fast - however something is blocking Goggle My Tracks from installing. Not sure what it is...it installs on other GB ROMs. I tried both installing from the market (the app doesn't show up), and by sideloading the APK. No dice. Any help appreciated.

CM10-4.1.2- "Nobe"l-laureate (discontinued-get smoothbean now)

(11-8-2012) UPDATE - bug fixes,TWEAKS by NOBE, still needs GAPPS, needs a 350mb system partition, use the dirty-bean method of installation. 5735 on antutu right out of the gate. GAPPS,FACEBOOK, anything else that runs at startup, will s.........l.........o.........w you down, so just kill the startup process whenever you can to help preserve your high score. Im pretty sure these tweaks will find themselves in a themed rom, but I am gonna focus on making paranoidandroid what it should be, and this I would like this one to be handed off to the guy who pimped it out, but of course I will run the builds from my environment if need be. Here is the update for you guys.
(Tweaked)
http://d-h.st/KPU
P.S.- Did you go buy someone from TeamDRH a beer yet? Did you go buy Fosser some "coffee?"
Or.... you can contribute to nobe's "wife needs her own tablet fund"
and go hit thanks on a post from any of these guys.
_______________________________________________________________________________
THis is pure CM10, built from source. It has one modification, and that is forced tablet UI. You will be in tablet mode no matter what dpi you set in build.prop.
It needs audio policy fix for hdmi audio, and probably some trimming. This is for Nobe to do his SMOOTH thing or Black Jelly thing, it is not to be considered "ready to roll" as much as it is for crack flashers or people who want a blank canvas. This is just pure CyanogenMod10 goodness.
I will answer questions and try to help but please dont expect it to be polished and shiny. It is however nice and fast and capable.
Work calls and I have to go out of town for the rest of the week, so I will not have access to my build machine, but I wanted to get this out for nobe before I left.
Please use install instructions from one of Nobe's roms, or of course you can use teamdrh's 350meg setup as well.
I will probably need a mirror if someone could because I procrastinate and havent set up an account at dev-host yet.
Enjoy.........

It wouldnt hurt to buy them a couple of beers either.

so the spec read out from the Gtab is that the 2D, 3D, Database IO, Sd card Write and Read are all faster than my TF201 running HB and on performance mode clocked at 1400 MHZ. I just have one question, does this little guy run choppy when switching apps? That is the reason I am avoiding JB on my Gtab for my wife. She complains that it would take forever when switching between apps. I have also noticed that when opening an app on JB it would take it forever to load. I was just wondering if you are seeing overall improvement on the system.

We run out of RAM on big games, everything else FEELS better than tf101, acer a500, in my experience. Nobe has two different roms, and I have paranoidandroid and this one. Out of the four, you are bound to find one that you like. No stock camera is the other negative though.

I saw paranoidandroid get dropped the other day, but haven't gotten around to flashing it since my wife is busy with her tablet (She doesn't like me taking it away and testing roms on it very often) but I did test both of Nobes and they felt sluggish and choppy. From basic tasks like changing screens opening the app tray checking the play store and checking Facebook... to anything else. I love Jelly bean on my phone and tablet, and I even put Jelly bean on my wife's phone and she loves it. The problem is it hasn't played well with the g-tab yet. I will keep watching though to see what results come of this in the future.
Thank you
Wow... you are a monster!
The gTablet is alive ...again!!!!!!!!!
I got really close to selling mine the other day, now I'm glad I did not. I've had it since November of 2010!
Does this require 350MB or 300MB system partition?
Thank you

Just for the sake of argument, run this with 350 if you plan on gaming or multi tasking. Both work well I just have been testing with 350 and seam to be turi g out well.

Running a 350m Partition and turned on some things in liberty.cfg. I think that I am just about ready to Black and Smooth this out.

As long as it is the Dirty Bean setup. If you are planning on adding gapps then you must have a 350m system for everything to work right.

with the smooth version are you going to keep the original AOSP look and feel?
Yes, 350MB on /system is a must: after flashing ROM and gapps-20121011 over 300MB, there was only about 60kb left in system partition, not enough to even update host file.
The interesting thing was, it was running really, REALLY fast and smooth! No lag whatsoever. The extra available RAM made a HUGE difference.
I'm going to try to "trim" some stuff from the ROM (like CMWallpapers.apk is 8MB, VideoEditor.apk and LiveWallpapers stuff), and gapps (Thinkfree is almost 8MB) and then flash again; we'll see if it will flash on 300MB and run stable.
The more available RAM the better!

One thing I did notice: when you insert MicroSD card, the system will unmount the internal sdcard....
