motorokr s9hd - Touch Pro, Fuze Accessories

has anyone used these?
i just bought them and cant seem to make them fit properly they kill my ears even though i see reviews keep saying how comfy they are and i want to make them work since the sound is quite good and good for working out

I've used the s9s. Not the s9hd. I heard it's more comfy. Yes, the design is weird and it takes getting used to. It took me 3 hours of wearing it to get used to it. Only problem is, I can't sit with my head against a wall or laying down, but I used it mostly for workouts. Any pics though? Haven't seen any upclose.

sold on Jawbone 2 - went swimming with it by accident

And it never stopped working. IT complained to me when I got far away from my phone with the disconnect sound when I came up from under water for air.
I hate the buttons, the no mute, but, if it's THAT durable and if it is so good at keeping road noise out (it is) I am now a fan.
Good now wait for your earhooks to start breaking... and see how big of a fan you are then.
btw does it comes with anything when you buy it. like the orginal accessories that comes with the original box
it comes with some earhooks and earpads...nothing like a car attachment, which I would consider a 'real accessory'
Aww, that's nothing. I'm somewhat absent-minded and my original Jawbone has been through two full laundry cycles and hasn't skipped a beat to this day =)
No rust or deterioration from getting it wet????????????????
Same here, Jawbone 2 went through full wash; no problems.

went jogging with my evo... not happy.

So here in buffalo we had the Chase Corporate Challenge this past week. I was pretty excited to have my evo, both for music, and to use as a timer (if you've ever walked/run the corporate challenge, you know that you'll never get an accurate time unless you take time tracking into your own hands). Not being much of a runner (besides occasional run-ins with the treadmill at the gym) I hadn't gone jogging with my phone before, so I was pretty dismayed when my phone started to completely act up on me.
First off, my music kept skipping and going to the next track. On top of that, for some reason, my phone kept going into voice search mode. Lastly I discovered that the route/timing tracking software I was using must have gotten itself paused for a large chunk of my run in the middle... completely losing where I was and ruining any chance at getting a real time for my run. What made it even worse is about 80% of my company is iPhone users... so the whole thing was pretty embarrassing.
I have a few theories that I need to test as to why it acted so flaky... I kept it in my pocket the whole time. After the run when I was diagnosing, I noticed that when I jiggled the headphone plug, the phone would pause/play the music and sometimes go into voice command mode. I can only imagine that on top of that, the power button must have kept getting pressed when it was flying around in my pocket and somehow my thigh was hitting the pause/play button on the lockscreen. As for the route tracking software, I have no idea... it probably got confused when my phone kept doing all the other things.
So this post is partly a rant, but I'd like to know, has anyone else gone running with their phone? Have their adventures been more successful than mine? And what the heck is up with the voice command thing? Maybe it was the headphones I was using sending odd signals somehow through the jack? Does anyone have any ideas there? At some point I want to get a pair of BT stereo headphones, but it seems like even then not all my problems will be solved... Very annoyed.
At least the good news is I think I came in first out of the "XXL" category here in buffalo... if only they tracked the results by weight, I'd be a superstar
I have no idea if this would cause a problem because I haven't researched how it works, but I wonder if the phone's proximity switch could cause problems when jogging/running.
You should try and get a waist band thing for it or look for something that you can put it on your arm. Just something that can hold it securely in one place.
this has been covered exhaustively, unfortunately not many people seem to care
or they haven't tried the headphone jack out yet.

Hey
Check out the "list of issues" thread in this forum. #6 sounds like yours

been running 2 times with music on and using my tracks... everything was perfect.
I jog 4 miles a day and lift weights. Never had those issues. Maybe its just you.
sounds like a bad headphone jack
I run and bike with my EVO and it has been a pleasure. I recommend using CardioTrainer as your work out recorder. It does a great job and even speaks over your music at set intervals to tell you how far you have in what amount of time. It also auto pauses your workout if you take a break and automatically uploads all of the data to a private website.
I went running with my Evo for the first time today.
I strapped it on to am arm band.
It felt a little large at first, but got used to it on my arm after a few minutes.
I played music and also ran Google's "MyTracks" software.
MyTracks uses GPS to log your run and reports all kinds of stats (Pace, Avg moving time, Distance, etc).
I had absolutely no problems.
I agree with other posters that you should try to get an arm band or a belt.
It almost sounds like you were hitting the bottom 4 buttons, but i don't think that is it.
I was listening to music through the headphone jack on my home stereo earlier today and noticed some of the same ****. No skipping, but the song would change by themselves. Happened like 5 times in the course of a couple of hours. Strange.
Just as a side note the BT headphones I have work almost flawless, it's awesome.
the problem with the headphones jack is that it is like the one for the nexus, and the nexus comes with headphones that control playing (play/pause, skip forward/backward). standard headphones don't have the contact that mediates those controls, so when the jack jostles around, it hits that contact point, and causes the skipping issue. as far as i know, only solution is to use a set of headphones with those controls.
which is why i kept the headphones from the N1 when i sold it.
I would never put my EVO in my pocket when I run. In my opinion, a tight belt clip or an arm band are the only solutions.

Thanks for all the suggestions. It definitely does seem to be a headphone jack issue, as the phone is constantly getting signals to activate voice dialing. I saw there was a DIY mod on android forums that involved bending one of the headphone contacts... I'm trying to decide if I want to try that or just find a set of nexus-style headphones until I get the BT set (BT stereo headphones are pretty pricey so I need to do research before I just throw down $100-200 on a set).
I could try finding an armband... but this thing is huge. good thing I have big arms? Seems more reasonable than a belt clip though, as I don't exactly have a flat stomach lol... seems that having something there while running would be pretty uncomfortable!
How do you run with it in your pocket? Unless you're wearing spandex...
I run with mine but I just hold it in my hand. But I never run more than 5k.
Definitely a headphone problem. If you have crappy headphones with bad contacts or wires, it will confuse the EVO into thinking you are pressing remote buttons on the inline remote.
Also...how do you run with it in your pockets? That would annoy the crap out of me with all the un-anchored weight and probably some chaffing.
where can I get an armband for it?
There are also a number of apps fir the EVO that execute things like skipping songs, taking screen shots, etc by shaking the phone.
It sounds like one of those was running in the background.

what exactly does lifting weights have to do with anything? or did you just throw that in there for the sake of your e-penis?

I have normal running shorts but I've been wearing lightweight cotton plaid golf-type shorts for running recently. They're almost as light as the running shorts and they have deep narrow pockets... didn't bother me at all. Of course I also mentioned that I'm a large guy, so maybe all the fat on my thighs acts as a barrier so it doesn't annoy me haha.

TF101 -Anyone elses getting loose when docked?

when i first got my tablet and dock which originlly just a day apart (once i used it , i just knew i wanted the dock)........thy fit together really snug. And i remember wondering initially if the multi piece design of the hinge would eventually be a problem, and get loose.
Well after 3 months, of which i very rarely take the tablet out of the dock, usually only if i want to play a game with tilt controls and such, So i keep it in netbook form almost always.. but its finally starting to get loose enough to be worrysomewhen its open and the tablet is standing straight up, i can wiggle the device and id say theres really close to 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch, of play or wiggle out at the top of course.
I would say a few millimeters play at the connection itself. when you open or close it and watch it you can see it spreading.
I actually went upto my local best buy where they have one on display that im pretty sure is the same one thats been there since i boughy mine 3 mnths ago, and its obviusly gotten a good amount of action. But its about the same as mine maybe slightly looser.
I use the hell out my tablet anfd although i do feel asus should have and could have made that connection stronger, im not complaining about the build of the device at all, i know i use this thing everyday all day, i never have it more than a few feet away from me so if its gonna get loose at all ill do it.
Now im wondering how everyone else uses theres and how loose are your guys tablet to dock connectin is there a lot of play, and has anyone tried to fix it or do anything about it.
i put a thin piece of felt which wont scratch anything and is very flexible so i figured it had give but i slide that in between the back of the tab and the metal overlapping dock hinge, and it stiffened it up pretty good.
its only gonna make it spread open more.
Sounds normal to me, there is a piece of felt in the hinge already at least on my dock, and as long as the clip is locked and the connector is making a good connection it appears the stress points are the clips not the connection. I am certain that a product like this has many thousands of on off cycles on the dock hinge as well as open close cycles before releasing it, so far I've not heard a report of a broken hinge assembly, seems to be made of pretty sturdy material imo.
I wouldn't recommend putting more material into the hinge if you think it will exacerbate the issue..

Super Fast Super Mini Review

Got my OnePlus One yesterday... here's a poorly organized list of review points.
I was initially very concerned about getting it setup properly based on reading about the troubles of AT&T LTE when you're coming from another carrier. The guy at the local AT&T shop had never heard of the One before, but he knew exactly what he needed to do and took care of it without issue. Truthfully the biggest point of confusion was that the SIM holder is sort of upside down, lol.
Aaaanyway. As soon as I got home I unlocked the bootloader, installed custom recovery, and rooted. Just sticking with 11S for now though.
I won't post a zillion pictures, everyone else has already done that. If there is some picture I can offer that has value, let me know and I will do so.
The phone is beautiful... I disagree with those who say the small metal looking band between the screen and body looks cheap. I actually think it's a very nice simple look that lots of people have already commented on when they see it. The sandstone back cover is really cool and fun to hold. I'll feel badly covering it up with a case.
The phone is well balanced but it is definitely a bit tall. I am getting used to using it with one hand, though. I tend to hold it with my pinky under the charge port (which is also upside down for no reason, lol) so the top right is easy enough to reach but the top left is a bit tough... but I am getting used to it.
The bottom speakers are great. I won't pretend they sound like my home theater system, but they are loud and clear... which is what I want. I don't sit there and rock out to my speakerphone.
The screen is great. I definitely get the warm profile/settings thing... and actually, if you watch closely as 11S loads you can see where it switches from the colder coloring to the warmer when the profile is loading (I guess). I played with the settings and bit and I can get it looking more true white-ish, but I actually like the way they configured it to be honest... at least as far as the last 12 hours go.
Yes, I see A LITTLE of what I think people are referring to as the yellow band at the very very very bottom. If I use on screen controls, I cannot see it at all. If I use the h/w buttons, then I can see it IF I struggle and have something white on the screen... I think. I think I see it. Honestly, at least for my device, it's such a non issue that I feel silly for mentioning it. I only do so because I know it is a hot issue right now.
The phone is very very fast. I loaded up all of my apps. Restored data (via Titanium) for a select few that I thought I had to, setup the rest from scratch. No lag, no crashes, just really smooth and fast performance.
Aside from Twitter and various messaging apps, I probably use Bluetooth more than anything... I am commonly streaming. To my car, to a stereo out on the deck with friends, to a headset at the gym. Lots of bluetooth. On my past 2 devices (a Galaxy S4 and a Galaxy Nexus before that) I would get little cutouts here and there (not often enough to be a problem)... or in my car if I hit "next" on a song in Slacker or Google Music too fast I'd get outright disconnected. So far, I've had none of that... and I tried. I tried to break it so I knew what to expect and it just performed amazingly.
Reception has been good, LTE has been fast, though typically I am on wifi. The 802.11ac connection has been strong and stable (unlike on my S4 where I just stuck with 802.11n because ac wasn't stable enough).
The included Hexo theme for 11S is nice. Simple and clean. I may or may not go back to Flux eventually... I like to change it up regularly.
LED works great with Light Flow.
I took exactly one picture and it was of my wife so I won't post it here, lol... I'll test out the camera more and follow-up later.
So far, though... I really cannot say enough good about the device, I really like it.
Good review man. I ordered mine yesterday. Look forward to playing around with it

Is anyone using this as a...?

Hi!
I'm really tempted to buy the LTE model of this tablet... and use it full time as a phone?!
Is there anyone else doing this? Do you feel silly holding it out in public?
Obviously, it wouldn't be getting held up to my ear (I know there's no speaker to do that anyway).
I was just wondering what other people's experiences are in using it as one!
Thanks.
If you're using it with a Bluetooth headset I don't see the problem. As far as tablets go, this is quite compact and slim. You would need some kind of bag through to carry it around. I couldn't imagine having it in my hand all the time. Its big to fit in a pocket.

Works OK...but it's awkward.

I've had to use mine as an emergency backup phone as I lost my regular phone a couple weeks ago. It works pretty well, and the top speaker actually works like a receiver earpiece if you decide to use it without a headset. Of course it looks really awkward, and I was getting these strange stares on the Seoul metro, so I wouldn't recommend it.
I've been using this as my phone in the US for several months now, and it's behaved just fine, it's the same resolution as phones twice its price and hspa+ has been more than adequate for my purposes.
A word of warning though... I've been keeping it in my pocket, I generally have large pockets, but in so doing it seems I've warped the frame a little, the screen is very slightly separated from the frame in one corner of the device. So I would try to find some way to carry it externally.
Thanks guys!

What about any awkward looks when pulling it out to use it in public? Hahaha.
I very rarely talk on the phone, and when I do my huawei watch (for caller ID) and Bluetooth headset do all the work, so this hasn't been a factor for me at all.
