well i made this a while ago, and finally got around to get it fully tested and release it.
this HardSPL is based on version 1.26 SPL. and is version 2 (2.00.cmon). also i *think* this one will not hard reset the phone
it's for any OPAL***** modelid now,

instructions:
0a) make sure you have .NET framework installed on your PC! if not, get it from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...fd-ae52-4e35-b531-508d977d32a6&DisplayLang=en
0b) if you have vista, WMDC update is recommended: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/en-us/help/synchronize/device-center.mspx
1) download Hard-SPL package from attachment, extract to an empty folder (Opal_HardSPL_v2_0.zip).
2) you must have the phone synced with your PC, i.e. device must be in Windows Mobile!
3) run Opal_HardSPL_v2.exe.
4) follow steps in the RUU, and check on the device for prompts after PC shows loading bar.
5) device should go to a grey screen
6) go on with RUU, Hard-SPL flashes, device automatically reboots, job done.
7 ) to confirm you got it installed, go into bootloader mode (tricolour screen!) and verify the screen shows 2.00.cmon
+1: if the screen won't go to grey mode (SSPL), then try manually entering SSPL by using the Opal-SSPL-Manual.zip - run the EXE on the phone then when it went to grey screen, run the HardSPL exe on PC and flash.

UPDATE: How to flash stock SPL back for warranty purposes - please use this only if you need to return device for repair!
steps:
0. first flash entire stock ROM, then after that you can flash stock SPL as *last step*. do not reverse this flashing order please
1. get the RUU_Signed.NBH file from attachment (opalstockspl126.zip (185.3 KB))
2. run hardspl package from attachment (Opal_HardSPL_v2_0.zip)
3. *after* Opal HardSPL EXE extracts files, replace extracted RUU_Signed.NBH with the one from opalstockspl126.zip i.e. when asked to overwrite, say Yes, if it doesn't ask, then you are trying to copy it before running the HardSPL EXE, which is the wrong order.
4. flash just like you flashed HardSPL (see original instructions above)
5. device reboots, you can now check if it says 1.26.0000 or still 1.26.cmon or 2.02.cmon, in the latter case you did something wrong, it has to show 1.26.0000.

Heihei~~ Just read the guide instruction carefully, I have fixed the problem.
And currently, I flashed a HK Rom code on my device.
However, I found a new issue. The this device has Compatibility with the BT ear price. I'm using a Itech D-Clip Radio one. When the call is coming, the call will be actived.But after the call, the BT connection will disconnect.
Any one has idea about this? Thanks a lot to all.

see bootloader screen (tricolour) it will say OPAL100 or similar... if the number is 100 then ok. if not, post in this thread
EDIT: oops, possibly for opal there is no modelid displayed there (could someone verify - i dont have an opal). use getdevinfo in mtty. but easiest is just try the spl package and if you get modelid error, post.

hi cmonex ! i've try ur hardspl , and i got a problem , my VIVA is hardspl now , but i try to use NBHTOOLS to dump the os.nb out of a WWE official rom and then use htc rom tools to rebuild a nbh file, but can not flash in to my viva . but i try flash that original official rom ,it works , is it my bad ? something i miss?
here is my htc rom tool setting:

1. Backup your data in your xda. ( including your sms and contact).
2. download the romupdateutility.exe file (by Machinagod).
3. extract the RUU_Prophet_2090724_20907106_020720_QtekWWE_Ship.exe to a filefolder. ( use winrar or winzip not double click .exe file or it will run immediately)
4. copy the romupdateutility.exe just downloaded and copy it into the folder ,then overlay the original file.
5. connect the xda to the PC:
6. then run the .exe file.
7. Ok, just It start now , wait about 10 minutes until it finish.

one problem is that after that, it will lost the homezone icon in O2. so you have to look for the software and setup it. just find one HZ_V0530_Magician_AKU2.6.CAB ,but didnt work well on wm5. So if someone can deal with it, please post it.

Is it need to be unlock CID first? Or we can flash it with this step without any processes before?
If if have to do something before, please, post it to me, I am very new for flashing ROM and I also bought Neo fro German, too.

Hi.
I tried this procedure on my Norwegian Qtek S200 with ExtROM 2.10.7.108. It all went fine until the phone started flashing. At 1% I got an error message on PC, which I don't remember, I clicked Exit and the update program stopped and nothing more happened on the phone. I restarted the phone and now the display only shows a red/green/blue screen and absolutely nothing happens. Phone won't start anymore.
Anyone who can help me out? Is there any way to flash the ROM from from SD-card? Help...! ;-\

If you are still having the problem please take out the battery and wait ca. 3-5 secs and reinstall it back again. After doing this you can power up your device once more. And it should fine.

If you flash an OS only ROM, and us soft/jump SPL, it'll always be recoverable.

i followed the guide.
but when i turned the phone on for first time to load.
its loads slow and stays freezed...then i get an error
"Unknown SIM status.(Error 262144)
i think my radio rom maybe wrong.
if u know where to get a bin file..which i can upload via mtty1.42.exe
because i think my radio rom is old and i update to wm6 with old radio rom.
also it was a locked branded orange phone.
however before i proceeded with your tutorial i done the neseccary procedure such as regedit,,,super cid change and unlock sim
using spv services tools etc
so if you could help please i would much appreciate it..
because atm the phone is in operable and i would like to at least flash back to another rom or whateva....but it looks like i will have to do it through UI and mytt142.exe as these are the only things i can access via phone and pc.

sandman: the .bin file for mTTY is on the last download link in the archive with WM6, here you can find mtty 1.42 to load the rom.. but to load the rom you need my SPL i share.. i don't know why it say you this sim problem rom.. the only tip i could give you is try to restart the procedure! my starting test was on a Typhoon WM5 updated.. but with the initial procedure you erase any old SPL... so, retry procedure step by step it work, i tested it 3 times before share and there are people who had success good luck!

I am following the below steps in order to upgrade my untouched SPV C500.
Go to the folder where you extracted files from TyphoonNBFTools_0.3_SPL1010064_SPVServices.zip and run TyphoonNBFTools.exe
In menu select File > Open NBF... and load SPL1010064.nbf.
Right click on SPL1010064.nbf and select 'Emergency Flash' in popup menu.

Now, after loading SPL1010064.nbf, I am unable to proceed further. The reason is there is no SPL1010064.nbf visible there, so that I can right-click it... Could you please advise?

You need to create a NBH file and use Hard SPL + Custom RUU to flash it.

This is the rom for canadian shift, with telenav in it. Make a good base for custom rom. Hope the unlock still work. Rom is nice and speedy, but snapvued
It works. It can be unlocked as previous rom, and gps is in there. Seems to have more storage space also. Nice rom to wait for new ones.

i have same problem, i have a german S740 but when i try to flash the orange or asia rom from this forum it says that it's not possible cause it's not made for this phone... don't understand why... even one of the official hotfix from htc gives me error saying that it's not for my phone...

....this problem is not too big - you must have Rose GoldCard.
Then you can upgrade any Rose shipped ROMs.

...if you have .img GoldCard file, you must:
1. Download HxD Hex Editor and run
2. Go to Extra tab > Open Disk. Under Physical disk, select Removable Disk (Must be your SD card), uncheck “Open as Readonly), click OK.
3. Go to Extra again, Open Disk Image, open up goldcard.img which you’ve saved/unzipped earlier.
Now, you should have two tabs, one is your removable disk, the other is goldcard.img. Press OK when prompted for “Sector Size” 512 (Hard disks/Floppy disks), click OK.
4. Click on goldcard.img tab. Go to Edit tab > Select All, edit tab again > copy.
5. Click on the “removable disk” tab. Select offset 00000000 till offset 00000170 (including the 00000170 line), click on Edit tab and then Paste Write.
6. Click on File > Save. now you can exit the program.
7. Reboot your phone with this SD Card (now GoldCard) inside

I have received yesterday a HTC S740 Black Rose! But I chose the menu nicht.Ich would like like like other HTC Touch or HTC P3700 with the Black Theme (Original from HTC) can someone help me there? I would not necessarily WM 6.5 haben.ich thank me already times in advance!

I got an Uk Orange S740 HSPL by jockyw2001 and i need it to be flashed with Russian Custom ROM, but when i do so it says "your os rom isn't customized for your hardware" can i use goldcard to make it work and what is the algorythm for Rose?

couple of questions I wanna ask u..
1. when u bought ur device was it a brand new one or a used one??
2.are u sure ur device is not locked?? did u check you your IPL??
3.what is your IPL/SPL compination??

How to flash any rom...
I have original rom loaded and with ipl/spl of 2.xx
but now i have ipl/spl 3.14.com.
loaded more that 100's of roms of 6., 6.1, 6.5.
any rom.
first of all you need to know your device configuration to load any rom.
if you have detailed configuration then you can load it.
currently loaded wm6.5 28011 onyx. rom.
radio : 3.34
procedure!!!!!!
i will be enclosing the safe procedure for flashing...
no worry.....
you will learn to load and make your own flash...
give to few days time..

if your spl says spl 3.14.com.... it means you have done HSPL... and thats the normal thing everybody do to go in for safe cookedroms flashing..

i have recently edited the onyx rom 6.5 28011 and flashed for my htc
if you want you can also just i will put links n procedure to flash the rom.

i not that i can load any rom my making rom.
like wise any specific rom i s made for specific mobile so as i make any rom specific for my mobilbe and even fon's battery level is 10% then also i can easily flash rom its in secs. and easily configure my cell easily..

rather than keeping it a secret you should share your knowledge. everyone know one can cook a rom and flash it on his mobile. i suggest please be clear with your english.

Procedure for flashing (how i am flashing rom)
I have phone elfin 128mb ram.What you want softwares:
1) device info software for information regarding your device.
2) rom extractor... htc rom image editor version 0.4.0.51
AnDim
3) ROM builder. With this tool you can build a ROM (*.nbh)
from a rom parts (*.nb) in a comfortable interface.
by - Alexander "Dark Simpson" Simonov.
you can flash rom compatible with your CID (country/caller id) i.e. rom that you are going to flash must have cid of your phone.
steps:
Connect your Phone and establish Activesync Connection
find following for flashing:
Device ID : ELF0******
CID : ur cid. of phone.
GSM.nb radio file
IPL_H3.nb ipl h3 file
OS.nb os file extracted from built rom.
SPL.nb spl file
For deviceID you need to have software called deviceinfo.exe

Step 2:
Now make rom for your elfin
you need to have software called
ROM builder. With this tool you can build a ROM (*.nbh)

choose ur phone.

load all that you have stored in your folder the files you want.
IPL_H3.nb ipl h3 file
SPL.nb spl file
GSM.nb radio file
OS.nb os file extracted from built rom
then press
Build!
you will find that you have give name to your file named it
RUU_signed and it will make rom for your phone.
after it is completed it shows everythings seems to be ok
then close you have build your own rom compatible with your mobile.
RUU_signed.nbh
now flash it to your mobile.

then run
ROMUpdateUtility.exe..
must connect your phone through usb.
start your phone pressing camera key you will see triple colour screen showing ipl/spl/
blue,green,red.
flash it from pc.
after every thing is over your will get message update complete.
your will get your rom flashed. but every data before flash must be back up.
this is bit lengthy but easy to use and flash....

well good one. tried it. works. but this is a lengthy process. rather dont you think cid unlocking it once will allow you to flash as many roms as you want. once you have unlocked it you just need to a custom ruu and a rom file. thats it. rest you know how to go about. i appreciate your method.
