Pharos hans-free audio output is poor :( - P3470 General

Hi, i new member in this thread, but not novice in this forum. I had several HTC devices in the past. Recently i has bought a new pdaphone - HTC P3470 aka Pharos. Previous HTC phone was Magician, and i was listening music on this. Magician had great a powerful sound! Now, this Pharos device is very nice relatively with magician, but there is one defect (particularity) - Pharos have more silence sound in the headphones (hands free). All software players, what i use on the magician, with such settings of EQ and preamp volume make low sound volume; if i increase preamp level - this gives distortion in sound. A think, output amplifier is powerful, his power may give more boosted sound, but internal hardware volume settings is limited. How i can increase sensitivity of power amplifier, or increase sound volume without any distortion on bassline? Where is power amplifier on mother board? May be exists a software way for decision of this problem?

Nobody will answer me? Nobody knows?

Am I able to increase the volume of the phone?

I am having a hard time understanding people when using the phone of my s200. Even my bluetooth headset (HS850) is louder then the phone itself (and this headset is not relly all that loud either).
So, I am wondering if there is a way to increase the volume at all?
I am having the same problem, I have tried the volume boost tweak in the forums but had no luck. today I listened to the Qtek 9100 quality and it was far superioir, and what I would expect from a mobile phone.
I am taking my S200 to the service center tommorow and complain.
Qtek 9100 also has stereo speakers the Prophet does not, I agree that the speaker output on the Prophet leaves a lot to be desired.
looks like that there is a hack for this:

Let's not forget one of the most important registry hacks(taken from the wizard forum): volume fix.
HKLM\SOFTWARE\HTC\AUDIOGAIN
there are various settings here, the most important is the earphone_uplink_volume that alows finally to hear clearly during a call
If anyone could clear out what the other setting are for, I'd be gratefull.
And why is there three different audiogain keys?
Click to collapse
Craic Dub
I could not get it to work as a lot of people
I am now on my second prophet (Qtek S200) and the phone quality is still very poor. I think I am going to have to swap it for a Qtek 9100 so that I can hear the person on the other end of the phone.
Its not just that the volume is low in the earpiece, the actual sound quality is bad, it almost sounds like the earpeice speaker cannot handle the sound input.
i have this problem too and i try change a earpiece from a nokia 6630 that is the same and the result is not good the sound in 6630 is good and the same earpiece in s200 is very low, what i can do to improve?
There was an article
about changing Prophets poor speaker with the motorola cell phone speaker ,that is very close in dimensions but much more durable and louder...
You may google it.
HTC Audio Booster
Found this on the site somewhere, don't know if it will help

Pre-Amp development request (Universal)

One of the major problems with the Universal is its low audio output, not so much its playback of MP3, this can normally be sorted with a half decent set of headphones. But its output of system sounds, notifications and phone rings etc which when in a case or pocket are often drowned out by the everyday noise of life.
The hardware is clearly able to produce louder volumes, TCPMP and windows inbuilt media player clearly show this is possible.
So I`m calling on any programmers willing to give writing a system pre-amp module a bash to do so.
Don't have to be fancy, a simply sliding volume conntrol for pre-amp and maybe a test sound button.
I`m sure this would make a lot of UNI owner happy.

Low Phone headset volume

I would like to know if there is a way to hack the registry to increase / boost the phone headset volume. Please note I am not talking about the "speakerphone" volume, I just find that when talking to someone on the phone headset it seems alot softer than the Wizard that I had before, even when the volume is set to max.
i would also like to know how to do this. i feel like my wizards ear piece volume was deafening.. but on the tytn its so incredibly low
I don't have a problem with the headset, but even on the highest volume setting the phone's earpiece speaker is a bit too quiet.
Any thoughts anyone?
Thanks.
Same hear, just to darn low at the highest volume setting. I see there are fixes for other HTC phones but nothing specific for this phone. Has anyone on this board managed to hack the registry and find an effective fix to increase the earpiece volume?
i'd love this as well - just bought one of these :
http://www.expansys.com/product.asp?code=138247
and the volume level is VERY disappointing. my wizard used to have an acceptable volume level but i can't imagine being able to hear music on my tytn with traffic around. :-(

Headphone volume output

Hi All,
Anyone else consider there headphone output volume a little low?
I just went from a HP hw6965 to a Dopod 838pro and whilst listening to tunes through media player with the same headphones at volume 100% and the scroll wheel fully turned up, the dopod volume is considerably lower that the HP.
It's hearable but just not "loud" when at volume.
Am I missing something?
anyone or am I deaf?
I agree, I've had the hermes and several different htc smartphones, none of which had good "driven" sound levels.
The headphones don't help either, they leak sound really badly and don't really fit in my ears properly either.
ok, so I'm not going deaf. looks like time a got a headphone amp.
I totally agree. The volume level is just to low.
Isn't there a reg entry that can fix this?
yeah the volume is to low ;d
i had pocket player installed and raised my equilizer to tha max for a higher volume

I have problem with my stereo output :(

Hello
Please help me!
I have connected the phone to amplifier which is broken and now i have problems with my stereo output - only one of the 2 chanels work and i think that the sound is with lower quality.
Can you please tell me what i have to find to repair it and is there any connection with the stereo output and the built in speaker?
From where i can buy parts to repair the phone and is it easy to do that?
BTW
I think that the amplifier just have added high voltage to the stereo output of the phone. What may be broken? The chip for stereo(is it only one for the built in speaker and the output?), capacitors or resitors ?
Thanks in advance!
no ideas, or any help?
also when i use headphones(only one of the 2 channels work) and if the volume is not on max the sound is really poor and with bad quality. if the volume is on max, the sound becomes better, but the quality still is not like before.
please tell me what may be broken? the chip for audio(where i can find one) or capacitors and resistors?
You have a virua
