So what's in the box? - Touch HD General

More specific i'm interested for the memory card. I couldnt find any info on the pre-order sites (i already preordered mine from expansys) but it doesnt say if there will be any extra memory card in the box so i would know if i'll buy one with my preorder. Any ideas guys?

Best Wifi card? Ebuyer SD Wifi Card no longer available :(

Hi,
I'm so annoyed that i waited until now to get a Wifi card for my Orange M500 (UK Magician). By the time i got around to ordering one, they (Ebuyer SD PDS Wireless Lan Card Adapter 11MBPS) are discontinued
Does anyone else have any recomendations for compatible SD Wifi Cards that are still available?
I see that Ebuyer.com sell the Sandisk 256MB Wireless 802.11b Secure Digital Card for £72.84 inc VAT but is it compatible?
Futurity
There's no reason why it should not work. The memory should come in useful anyway.
I have the spectec one, very very small.
http://www.expansys.com/product.asp?code=121110
Works a treat.
Im also using the SPECTEC with no issues
SPECTEC 820 + Modified E300 Drivers: a winner combo !
I got 2 Sandisk SD wifi cards off eBay, cost just over £50 each inc postage, they work a treat, just had a look and the seller no longer trades You can still get them off eBay but you'll have to look into how good the seller is. Hope that helps.
I use the Sandisk 256mb+wifi -- works quite well.

I'm looking a miniSD card adapter

Hi all,
I'm looking for one, but I don't want to buy a less than 6GB microSD in order to get the miniSD adapter. I've checked the Sandisk 6GB package, but I couldn't find it. Am I missing something?
BTW, if you have an adapter for sales, pls PM or email me at tqsn1 at yahoo.com. I'll paypal you. I prefer the one is living in USA b/c I can't afford out-of-country shipping cost.

Oh NO, I should have read a little closer. Thanks!
Verizon has a 1Gb micro w/ mini and standard adapters for $29.00. Just don't show off your phone it depresses them.
if you want a good quality one go for the one made by nokia.
kms
if your trying to save money you don't have to buy an adapter if you use activesync. Just put your sd card in your phone and connect your device to the pc (active sync will open), hit the explore button on activesync, go to my windows based mobile device, then storage card and drag and drop the files you want on the card.
I bought this one and I really like it. The card is only 4GB, but works for me. It may be a little pricey but I needed the card and wanted the adaptor. I love it!

Did you get some kind of SD card convertor boxed with your phone and if so was it SD to MiniSD or MicroSD to MiniSD?
Thanks. I'm just about to order an 8GB MicroSD card but am nowhere near home to check what was included boxed with my phone.
Cheers.
http://img.tomshardware.com/de/2006/11/10/speicherkarten_im_test/sd-mini-micro-big.jpg
here are some pictures
trinity have a miniSD slot
normal SD is around 2 times as big
microSD is around ½ the size
if the converter you talk about fit inside the device it's a mini to micro
Take a look on the picture ,it is a good one from kingston
http://www.vivachip.com/product/268/0/0/1/Tarjeta-de-Memoria-MicroSD-HC-4GB-Kingston-2-adapt.htm
normally mini sd cards come with a mini to SD card adaptor, so you can use it in a standard card reader
No adaptor was included with my phone
No adaptor was included with my phone. You will have to buy them yourself.
To use the 8Gb microcard, you will need a microSD->miniSD-adaptor adaptor for the Trinity, and a microSD-> or miniSD->SD adaptor for your cardreader.

kingston 8gb class 4 doesn't work on my tilt

I purchased a kingston 8gb class 4 microSD card for $20 from buy.com. The problem is that it doesn't show up on anything! I plugged it in my Tilt and nothing happened. I plugged it in my palm centro and nothing happened (although i wasn't expecting it to work on it in the first places lol). I plugged it in my Dell E1705 laptop which has a built-in card reader and it didn't read the card either.
Right now im assuming the the card is defective.......should i ask for a refund or should i ask for a replacement since i find the price to be really cheap...
Are there any hotfixes i should run in order to make sure the card is defective?
Please advise
The card reader in your Dell (at least from the specs I can find on it) does not support SDHC, only SD, which is why it doesn't work there. The same goes for the Palm Centro, so neither of those is a valid test of the card. As for why it doesn't work in your kaiser, who knows?
yea thats the thing thats bugging me out. I did download the hotfix from MS for my laptop which supposedly allows it to read SDHC cards but when i try to install the hotfix, it says i have a newer version already installed and there is no need for an update....So im assuming my laptop card is hdhc compatible
I have that same card in my tilt and it works fine....
I vote for a dead card. Return it.
Your card is definatly defective, some current computers do not detect SDHC cards, but if your tilt didn't detect it, then it's a whole different story.
Contact the seller for the exchange immediately
I agree with the other posts. Return the card and get an exchange or refund. I use a Kingston 8GB micro SDHC in my Tilt with no problems. I got it from NewEgg for less than $20 with a USB adapter, miniSD adapter and an SD adapter!
same card im also having...
just tried many sdhc patches...
atlast this one worked on my artemis.....
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=58394&d=1195209755
hope it works for u too.....
Are you sure, that your builtin cardreader supports SDHC?? With my storage card there was an miniUSB cardreader included.
I just bought this same card over the weekend and it works fine in my Kaiser. Maybe you got a faulty card, or maybe the card needs to be formatted... Since it's new, you should probably ask for an exchange or refund.

[Q] What's in the box?

I've searched the internet, wiki & this forum but I can't seem to find what comes in the box. My old blackstone came with an 8 gig card, little crappy sued pouch, USB cable, stylus.... I think that's about it. Thinking about waiting on the Telstra version for the US 3G capability. Thanks in advance.
P.S. - Is it SIM free or can it take a SIM card?
search ebay...they tell you what is in the box...generally speaking the extra items that the seller offer are reffered to bonus items.
it does take sim card
I appreciate your help, but it was unsuccessful. I'm not interested in the "extra crap" that people give you when you buy one. Most of the specs listed on ebay are copied from HTC's website, which doesn't list what's included in the box. I guess my question is if I went to a retailer, saw the box for the Leo & bought it, what's inside the cellophane (other than the slide cover for the box & the box itself)? What size is the memory card, belt clip/pouch, screen protector, little black sticker that nobody knows what it's for, both UK & US wall adapters, screen-cleaning cloth, little black pouch, etc.........
Thanks
The India version of HD2 comes with :
8Gb MicroSD Card
Pouch
USB Cable
Headset
Charging Adapter
The UK version I got contained:
-The phone (duh)
-A USB-microUSB cable
-A charging USB adapter (Came with the UK plug)
-Headset
-A 2GB microSD card
-A (very) small user manual and the guarantee
-The battery
-A leather pouch
The HD2 has a SIM slot and a MicroSD/HC card slot; removing the battery is required to change the SIM card, but not the MicroSD card.
