GSM 'Brick' background on CDMA? - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV Themes and Apps

Hey all, I'd like to know how I can get the 'brick' style background on all my tabs like the GSM version of the phone has. I have the Sprint version of the phone and it includes a black background.

I will see what i can do... I have to find which manila files to change...
but it will take a while, don't have the time right now...
Maybe someone else will beat me to it!?

Awesome ^_^

Well, there is a thread called "no bricks" which does exactly the opposite. I don't like the bricks
So, before applying that patch, i backed up my original bricks file, which should work for you.
Here you go (untested though! Make sure you back up the file too):

my "bricks" don't look as good as the pic above. mine are more round and spaced further. that does look way better.

Good (splashscreen) idea for changing your SplashScreen

Yesterday I was browsing the Wizard area of the XDA FTP server and I bumped into a file called SplashscreenStuff.zip
So I downloaded it, read the ReadMe file and thought, this looks kinda easy, let's see if it's possible to change my SplashScreen (on a 2.18 Qtek Rom).
So I opened Photoshop looked at some existing splashscreen's and adjusted one to make it "my own".
The funny thing is, this SplashScreen can be useful if your device gets stolen (it is shown about 20 seconds on start-up on my device).
Take a look at it and if someone is interested in the Photoshop file, to adjust it to make it yours, feel free to leave a message here and I will make sure you get all the files you need.

Anti theft tattoo ?
I would really like to know if this can really work as a anti-theft strategy. At worst, the "finder" of the device can flash a new ROM, can't he? Is there any really anti-theft strategy?
the picture is not displayed!!! why??
How can I make my own splashscreen?
try this thread
The tools are old, and they have been ported to ROM-kitchens also, but they do work.

[New UI] VITO Goodwin v1.0

I hope it's not a re-post. I've searched this topic but nothing come up.
It is a combination of myHTC and S2U2.
However, it saves your device a lot of storage space.
IT IS A 14-DAY TRAIL VERSION

The UI works fast and that´s good, but in the other hand is too simple that doesn´t allow any customization.... too bad!
i've seen posts before
but yeah i think it does allow for customization, somewhat.. no one has even put any effort into it tho so pretty sure no one here has any clue of it's potentials.

NC owners, little help here :)

So i decided to get myself nc and was wondering if it can read middle asian(georgian) unicode.
Can anyone go to this "forum.ge" with Nook, take screenshot and put it here?
Thanks, for help.
I just tried, both through DDMS and an app, but for some reason it was just a black screen both times.
I'll say this, though - the character I see appear to be the same ones I see using Chrome on my laptop. Although a few are styled slightly differently, everything seems to show up. Of course, I know nothing about Georgian, so I could be entirely wrong about that.

Just a notice...

Hey guys,
I'm sure a lot of you don't know but I started working on ROM since last year. I do what every developer does, test the ROM, find problems/fix them, find ways to make the ROM faster. But to the point, school has taken over my life again! So my work on this will halt till my next break (I don't know when it is either so don't ask).
This is just a heads up to the people who have PM'd me and want to see it, and to Kennith who wanted to see what I did to his precious Alien...
Just some info, it's called Faui (I suck at making names, sue me!). It's a "Fake" Miui, Fake/Fa + Miui/ui = Faui. (It's chemistry!) So it's built off Alien #4 but it's gonna be complete different than Alien. Here's some screenies of the home. Notice this ROM's theme is orange.

Everything is orange and white! The black bars are supposed to be white so I'll get to that in due time. The wifi meter is from the iPhone, kool ain't it?
Anyways thanks for some of your support. Hopefully I'll get to release this soon!
Loving it
I'm loving the orange and white, I'm in te-na-see....lol....good luck finishing it bro. Can't wait to test it. BTW, do a orange and black theme add on....

Weird lines on screen

Well, it started yesterday and it keeps driving me nuts. It's present both in the system as well as 4ext or even the splash screen so it is definitely a hardware issue. Is there any way to get rid of them because my contract ends in november but I was going to stay with my DHD and get myself a PS3 (very nice offer from my carrier)
It looks like that, it's not a screenshot but it looks exactly like that:

what seems to be an officer problem?
the faint horizontal lines on the screen. That is only a picture but live they also flicker.
You could try replacing the screen yourself, but it could happen that the gpu is the problem, in which case you can't do anything on your own...
Sent from my Desire HD using xda app-developers app
I remember having the same issue right after I bought my DHD and I remember rooting and reflashing it helped I recently changed my Radio software, you think it might have anything to do?
It's not hardware. I get it on the current versions of the 3 kernel. Synergy said it was to do with fb (not sure what it is) and he's working on it.

FB....hmmm....frame buffer (only thing that comes to mind except FaceBook) Anyway you're a life saviour man! I was worried that I will have to get a new phone.
