Invisible Shield (or similar) - Touch Pro, Fuze Accessories

Has an invisible shield or similar been released for the Touch Pro as yet? I'm pretty sure the Touch Pro comes with a screen protector but a full body protector would be really good to have. this is a link to the Touch Diamond one in the mean time for anyone who doesn't know what one is...
http://www.zagg.com/invisibleshield...es-screen-protectors-covers-skins-shields.php
Please also discuss any brands of screen protectors you've found that are good/cheap etc.

I am very interested in this as well. I dont know but will keep a look out and post here when it happens.

I guess it's possible to use the Diamond one because it's virtually the same except for the backend of the phone.

I Emailed them this is the reply...

Diamond v Touch Pro Screen Size
Hi all,
Just ordered Touch Pro from Expansys and waiting on delivery later this week. Would like to have a Martin Shields or Brando screen protector not full body cover. Can anyone confirm that the Diamond screen size is the same as Touch Pro since I can order a Diamond screen protector but not as yet one for Touch Pro.
Many thanks for taking the time to read this and hopefully any answers.

ouch!! Yeah please someone respond with that info. that is a deal breaker with me as it is pretty counter productive to the purpose of a protector lol

I've used an InvisibleShield on a number of devices - on the few devices I've had to replace it, the screen/body were as new when I took the old shield off.

great news, thanks MDSalih

he said it was "like new" But yes, i would love for him to be sure. Just kinda sounded like he was

Well I use it on my TyTN, on my iPod, and changed it once, no trace what so ever !
the only marks you see with a full body are the parts not covered, because they are dirty/scratched

thanks Kael!! Seems the wear question is answered

do u use screen protection on your hermes?

i just wanna know if you guys use protective plastic sheets on your screen or not? Is it really necessary? will the screen become scratched and ugly if we use the stylus directly on it? thanks for any opinion.
It's recommended to use screen protectors to avoid micro-scratches. I've got Brando UltraClear since I've bought my TyTn and it took 2 days for me to realize there's a protector on screen It's perfect, doesn't affect quality of display at all. Also it's easy to remove and washable
excuse my ignorance, but what is that u are using, since I cant fint anything useful and interesting in my country? thanks
i recommend using the screen protector as well. it's not just for protecting the screen from any scratches with the use of stylus but the screen will always be protected from any other close contacts while you keep the device in your pocket or in a case. the display is one of the most expensive parts of your hermes and you will regret not protecting it when a time comes for you to replace it for any serious scratches.
WriteShield and Martin Fields are very good too. Of course you could read this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=273926
I first used the Brando Ultra Clear - wich is really very clear, friends asked me why I do not use a screen protection until I told them to have a (much) closer look!
Brando Ultra Clear is available on ebay cheaper as in the brando shop.
When I bought my car holder I wanted to have a screen protector that is more anti-reflective. This is why I now use a 3M ARMR200.
The ARMR200 is really great, cause it's the only screen protector wich is two times coated and almost non-reflective.

I bought it on ebay where you get it right cutted for the Hermes. I don't know if it's also available in other countries on ebay. If you don't have a problem to buy it on german ebay search for "ARMR200 trion" cause the Hermes is sold here as "O2 Xda trion" for example. You'll find many results. E.g. this one
Thanks guys. I am using a standard one, which is not very clear and also gets dirty and fingerprinted very easy. I will check the availability of what u suggested in my ****ty country.
JavoEdge has been great for me. The have an Ultra Clear and a anti-Glare. I use the anti-glare because it hides all the fingure prints and you can view your screen better out side in sunlight.
By the way you can take the screen protector off and wash it with water and put it back on good as new, i tried this and it actually worked.
These screen protectors are hard not soft and flimsy which also make it easier to put on without bubbles.
Here is the link for the anti-glare versions that i like - http://www.javoedge.com/reflexeshop/productCatalog/getProduct.do?poid=985&pbmId=4737

Screen protector for the X1

Hi guys,
Just orderd the X1, and was looking for a good screen protector to go with it.
1. Is it neccessary?
2. What do you guys use? any tips?
At the moment i am using a TYTNII with a brando ultraclear. Looked at the brando website, they don't support the X1 yet
I got my screen protector from www.pdair.com
I called Brando and they don't seem to have a plan to support the Xperia X1 yet.
This was the only one I could find other than cheapo no-name ebay ones.
http://www.amazon.com/SonyEricsson-...?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1225213771&sr=8-12
Haven't received it yet, and it isn't cheap, but I don't want to keep my xperia screen naked for long.

That's a shame Brando is by far the best Screen Protector I've ever seen and used. Are there perhaps other devices supported by Brando that have a screen with the same size as the Xperia, so you could use that Screen Protector? Or perhaps I'll buy a bigger one from Brando and cut off some parts..
I would have loved to get a brando, but had to buy a Vikuiti ARMR200 which is a brandmark of the excellent factory of 3M.
But just wait for my X1 to arrive. It is ordered and I hope to get it the next 2-3 days.

Do not buy one from screenpatronus on ebay as they do not fit!
I am in the process of getting my money back from paypal. Does anyone actually have on a screen protector that fits?
Be aware: 3M Vikuiti ARMR200 may cause problems when you'll be using the phone outside, on the bright light. This foil with "double anti-reflex coating" is great at home or in a car, but the screen becomes hardly readable when the sun shines really brightly. I'm using it on SE M600i and would prefer less anti-reflex.

Does anyone have a good recommendation for a screen protector I can get in the UK? The one which came with my Xperia doesn't fit well.

I second staying away from ScreenPatronUS. I tried them once before and was really disappointed. The screen protector quality was subpar and didn't fit correctly as others mentioned. Plus it actually caused issues with the touch screen recognition of the stylus or finger!
Go with one of the reputable sellers listed in this thread/forum....may cost a little more but worth it in the long run. I've used Zagg most recently for my Tilt (full screen/body cover) and it worked great. Hoping they have an X1 cover out soon.
Well i mailed Sony Ericsson asking which screen protector they advice for THEIR phone.
I got a reply saying they don't have any information about the screen protectors as they don't make/sell any so it's up to me to search for the right one.
I expected some more information
Buyer beware: Vikuiti ARMR200 doesn't fit properly, I think they rushed to be the first to release a screen protector. It's about 1mm too wide and long, nothing that a little hobby knife and and steady hand can't fix, but annoying nonetheless.
I much prefer the look of pocketpctechs WriteShield CrystalClear, I'll definitely be replacing my Vikuiti when they release the WriteShield.
i have the Vikuiti ARMR200 and yes it was to big, so i sent schutzfolien24.de an mail that it doesnt fit, they are sorry and sent out an new one, i think also that they rush to fast , anyway i removed 1mm from two sides with an cutter, and now it works, next week will come the new one, i will report back then.

HTC Touch HD ita brand TIM stripped paint!

Hi guys i'm new to this forum and i'm interested in HTC HD really much.. i read all posts from this forum and i have to say that are really helping me to decide to buy it. However i've read on other italian forum that some guys (3 or 4) that has HTC touch hd brand tim after 3 days have their HD stripped! And i think it is really frustating! See the image..
Have you guys the same problem? Do you think could be a difectous and limited production or is a factory problem??
thanks,

I'd expect a replacement for this. Having said that I just lived with my peeling Trinity until it got so bad I got some emery board and sanded it down to the plastic - far nicer than the original imho.
The phone comes with a soft case, I've kept mine in the case while I've not been using it, also when I've been out have kept it in the case in my pocket (mainly cause every phone I buy seams to end up getting scratched by something in my pocket - keys etc).
Personally I think the phone in the case feels less bulky in my pocket than my Kaiser, despite the slightly increased H/W size.
I had my HD for sometime and not a single problem, its depend how user curry their unit and handle. I will recommend the htc soft case to use always
I have the italian tim version too, from more than 1 week and no problem, I always use the soft bag could be this the problem?
Really thanks guys for your replies, please i need many feedbacks (especially from italian owners of brand Tim) to make a better opinion..
P.s. i'm italian and it interests me to know because in Italy it is sold only branded Tim and if i decide to buy this HD i have to buy a brand Tim.

Mine was always protected by the HTC case, which was came with the phone and look after very well so what can done this, can it be heat that build up by casing? dont yet know.
any other ?
No problems with mine but then again I never had much problems with any phone. I take good care of them...
People that bash them about and expect everything to be perfect is another story.
Are there good plastic case that completely protects this device? I'm sure this would prevent stipped paint problem.
now guys you got me hesitate about buying it, do you mean it has a poor manufacturing quality, that the paint fades easilly what a bummer
Man I have been so careful with my phone and i have the problems too. They are very minute but in 4 places. SO angry. Maybe if i use a black permenant marker to touch them up - it may help.
UPDATE! I just touched the scratched with a black permanent marker pen and left for a moment and then rubbed in with my finger. It DOES help to disguise the defects. A temp solution for everyone.
had mine 2 weeks & yes, my paint is falling off, I have been very very careful with it & never dropped it, im going to speak with provider today, this is not acceptable on a phone that costs this much.
other than that I love this phone.
Guys there is a huge thread about this, read it!!!!

OEM Fuze screen protector

anyone know where i can get another original screen protector that came in the box? i liked how u couldnt even tell it was on there, and how it was made of a hard, almost, thin glass, type of plastic. Unlike most of the other screen protectors that are thick and bendy.
any ideas? or anywhere that sells ones VERY VERY similar to the original?
thanks!
I've been thinking the same thing, hopefully one of the many guru's here will have an answer!
Me three! Surely someone sells the OEM one. Post, people! Tell us who!
I know the OP asked about the OEM screen protector, but i've been using these on all my portable devices and they are quite literally the best screen protectors i have ever used. When applied correctly there is zero distortion and the screen looks exactly as it is without the protector.
http://www.overlayplus.com/US/dis_product.asp?model=HTC_ProTouch&modeln=Touch%20Pro&prod_type=screen
Its a bit on the pricey side but last night my fuze slipped outta my hand, did a nice midair tumble and slid screen-down across the edge of my desk leg, it only got a slight scratch that i buffed out with plastic polish
I'll be happy to snap some pics if you guys are interested.
I will update that a friend of mine who also owns a Fuze called HTC to ask them if he could purchase another OEM screen protector and the customer service person he spoke with told him they do not sell them separately but that he should check daydeal.com if he wanted the OEM screen protector. So, he took that to mean the ones daydeal.com has for sale for the Fuze are the same ones HTC supplies with the phone.
I cannot confirm this as the one he ordered has not arrived yet but I will try to remember to post here when I hear from him on these.
What about InvisibleShield? Anyone using that one?
http://www.zagg.com/support/whatis.php
These have worked out well for me. The anti-glare ones work very well.
http://www.boxwave.com/products/easyfinder/buy-best-at_t-fuze-accessories_3350.htm
I had the invisibleshield one but found that it was too grippy and it wasn't as clear as i hoped it would be. I've got 2 pictures here, you can see the optical clarity in the 2nd picture by comparing the reflection of the cologne bottle in the screen with the actual bottle. The screen protector covers both the screen as well as the buttons.

I found that my invisible shield one has a bit of a orange peel finish on it which i didn't like too much. This one is actually smoother than the screen naked.

Update: He received the screen protectors he ordered from daydeal.com and by the looks of them, they are essentially the same as supplied with the Fuze from the factory. He and I both looked at it and it looks and feels the same. If you like the OEM one, I suggest ordering from daydeal.com if you need a replacement. And no, I'm not affiliated with them. Just passing along the info.

I just ordered one of these and will post the results one I get them.
i second the boxwave one. its friggin clear and easy to put on
http://www.boxwave.com/products/cle...h-crystal-screen-protector-at_t-fuze_3350.htm
however, shipping is hella slow
but really nice product
i got the 3 pack and screwed up the first one but totally worth it
I ordered these from daydeal and would NOT state that they are 1:1 compared to the shipped one. HOWEVER, love it. It's a slightly different material (kinda anti glare but the "blur" is fully acceptable for me) and I had some concerns reg. finger friendliness but that's not the case. Stylus operation is easy (by far not so rubbery as the invisible shield). Form, fit and applying was very easy (much easier than the stock one). I bet Martin Shield is the best but I still think money well spent. On top, not so prone to fingerprints as the shipped protector.
good or better than OEM protector
I concur that this screen protector from DayDeal is as good as or better than (in my opinion) the original OEM protector that came with my Fuze.

I ordered only one last week, but I may order a few more just to have them on the ready.

Display heavy to press

Hey Guys i bought Friday my phone.
Now i habe problems with the touchscreen.
If i want to write fast or normally i have to press the right side heavy and stronger then the left side. So i have to press the letters P L and M more often the other ones. It looks like the display on the right side is not functional for 100%.
Have someone the same problems?
And i had a screenprotector from the trader in the phone so it have to be on the complete screen if the protector is the reason.
Thank you guys

Hey I did it on Friday and nothing changed
When the phone is in landscape format it's possible to write normally cause the letters are on the side of the buttons.
The phone does come with a screen protecter. Have you removed it? I did since it caused me problems with touchscreen sensitivity the first few days.

The screen protector just reduced the touch sensitivity its like using the phone while wearing leather gloves. Id recommend just removing it. And leave the case on. Same protection but should solbe your problem as well.

Its worth a shot and find out but if thats not the case then you can always make a claim and get an exchange since it might be a hardware problem.

Hey you are right dude!
The reason was this kind of screenprotector. I put it today off and had no problems with the display.
Thanks a lot.
The protector that comes with the phone is horribly dimensioned over 2.5D glass. It has air gaps in its right & left edges due to them being curved. I couldn't effectively touch near both edges so I threw away the protector. It also isn't compatible with the soft case. So I ditched the screen protector for the body protection. It's gorilla glass anyway.
Had the same problem. The screen protector didn't stuck well on the edges and I had trouble trying to move icons from one screen to another. Get rid of that thing.
Hi guys. Can someone tell me, this device have preinstaled screen protector or not? Im buy it used and dont know ...
