Not currently, because the phone doesn't have any way to pump the video out like that, even if you had the compatible cabling.
The TP2 has a utility that will do video out over the USB connection, but I have no idea if that can be hacked/ported to the HD2...although that only works on USB-RCA cabling, with the requisite adapter.
THe HD2 does not have the hardware to do it.

USB port

Hi everyone has anyone tried pugging anything into the usb port like an external hard drive, mouse or keyboard anyone have any luck with it?
interesting question
if i could find a female USB to male micro USB adapter, then i could try this out
anyone know if any where shells one of those?
It's an USB output, not input.
I assume. You would probably need some converter in between?

not quire... else how do you explain being able to charge
also being able to move files into the phone via USB?
also sync data
etc
etc
Exactly, usually you have a software on both ends, where the disk device doesn't necessarily has it.
PS
I'm just guessing

mini usb to composite for the EVO?

The EVO uses Micro USB.
Yes, the cable exists. No, you cannot use it with the Evo, it doesn't support video out through usb, only hdmi.

[Q] MHL Adapter with OTG

Hey guys,
I received today my MHL adpater
http://www.ebay.com/itm/171436891054?_trksid=p2060778.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
The signal to the TV is working fine.
My problem is when I'm connecting devices to the USB host port, there is a power over there but my phone not responding, while those devices are working with a simple OTG cable.
Some help over here?

I have been looking for the same thing, an MHL - OTG - charging dock/adapter/dongle, I have not found anything that people report as working reliably on the S5 (I am also looking for one to work with a Note 10.1 2014).
Have you tried to connect a power supply on the micrUSB port? I have a MHL adapter and it needs external power.

Yes, I did.
I even tried connecting a USB hub and I saw there is a power from the USB Host.
Please give me a link for what you're using a direct link to eBay item.

There is a chance that will work?

I was under the impression you can either use mhl or otg. Not both at the same time. You tried just using the thumb drive by itself without the hdmi plugged in?
anyone had luck finding an adapter allowing you to use hdmi alongside otg?
anyone found an adapter than can do hdmi and usb host at the same time??? there seem to have plenty for s4 but nothing for s5?? although s5 is using a newer and more capable mhl if i am not wrong

i received this one
it works well at same time as otg and hdmi
i am just not satisfied with the quality of the hdmi output.

i meant the image quality,to just watch and control your device its ok,to watch a 720p movie its not ok,video will be blur sometimes and it will be a little delay at sound.
few days ago i used a friends standalone hdmi adapter was performing amazing even at 1080p.
it is very nice thank you very much

I got that hdmi connection kit and it works great with my S3 doing hdmi 1080p and otg simultaneous + charging. But with my S5 it will only do hdmi 720p or otg not both. Image quality is poor on the monitor but great on the HD TV.
Maybe "Display Link" is the way to go to get wired screen mirroring and otg at the same time on the S5?

OTG Working on 2015 Fire (kffowi/ford)

What is otg?
USB On-The-Go, often abbreviated to USB OTG or just OTG, is a specification first used in late 2001 that allows USB devices, such as digital audio players or mobile phones, to act as a host, allowing other USB devices, such as USB flash drives, digital cameras, mice, or keyboards, to be attached to them.

Required: OTG Cable
Amazon Link: Micro-USB 3.0 OTG Adapter
Amazon Link: USB 2.0 OTG Cable
These are just some examples of cables available, there maybe better, or cheaper options
What is a OTG cable
When attached to a PC, an OTG device requires a cable which has a USB Standard-A plug on one end and a Micro-B plug on the other end. In order to attach a peripheral to an OTG device, the peripheral either needs a cable ending in a Micro-A plug, which is inserted into the OTG device's Micro-AB receptacle, or the OTG device itself needs an adapter cable with a Micro-A plug on one end and a Standard-A receptacle on the other. The adapter cable enables any standard USB peripheral to be attached to an OTG device. Attaching two OTG devices together requires either a cable with a Micro-B plug at one end and a Micro-A plug at the other, or can be achieved using a combination of the PC cable and adapter cable.

Not in most cases, some usb devices may require an otg app to change settings
Thanks for your hard work on root/recovery. I was planning to try OTG print to USB printer tonight. I'll update here tonight after I get home and try it.
USB Serial adapter working here; FTDI chipset
Do you know if it matters if cable is usb 2.0 or 3.0 or are both supported?
I just wanted to report that when I connect an USB stick to the Fire (5.0.1) and try to use ES File Explorer to browse through its files, the Fire force-restarts.
Using Solid Explorer there's no such issue
OTG worked perfectly on 5.1.1 (rooted) using this drive. Same with a generic (cheap) OTG dongle similar to this. Plug-n-play.

Don't think I tried it on 5.0.1 doesn't crash on my twrp updated 5.1.1 on ES though. I did run the sd fix but no idea if that's of any significance.

Play store's as it's newer.
Usbasp works. USB programmer for Atmel AVR microcontroller chips.
USB webcam works. Standard UVC webcam.

I tried with the play store version and the table didn't restart, but a few apps "greyed" out and they were impossible to launch until a restart

Interesting, how does the webcam work jw? Do you have to install an app for it to work? Or do you just use the camera app or something?

An app is needed as far as I know. I haven't actually used it for anything, was just testing what works. Tested with the "UsbWebCamera" app. There are also apps that will stream the usb webcam from your Fire to another device. I could think of a couple nice uses for a usb webcam. Cheap car rear view camera, constantly recording car dash cam (record to a SanDisk high endurance video monitoring microSD). Personally I wouldn't drive without a dash cam. Too many crazy drivers who will swear they weren't texting while they ran right into you.
Power+OTG
Has anyone found out if this tablet supports OTG while charging?
It does not appear to support OTG + charging.

I believe a kernel modification could make this work.... I am looking into it, but I really have little idea of where to begin; A $50 tab for (semi)permanent car install would be incredible
Any help would be greatly appreciated
