I have flashed different roms.. problem stays!
I damaged mine too. You need a spard reader. Then you can exchange the readers. But you need to open the device fully and disconnect the display. That is a littlebit hard but possible.

My XDA II doesn't recognize SD cards..I changed the cards (although working in card reader with my PC), I hard rest the XDA II, re downlaod the new ROM, and nothing happining ..My problem started after downlaoding the new ROM and unlocking my XDAII with the tool in this site!! at the same time I don't know if this is related!! please help meeeeeeeeeeee!!! I am sorry to here you are having difficulties with your XDA2. It would appear you have already tried everything I could suggest (hard reset, downloading the ROM again etc.) It would seem this is a hardware fault. Please call the XDA repair centre on 08081003427 with whom you will be able to discuss repair/replacement of the unit.

Does your XDA II even see the SD card?
With your device booted up and on the today screen, if you inserted an unformatted SD card you would be prompted to format it. Does this happen?

Have you tried different SD cards? Yours might just be faulty or incompatible.
this card was working perfectly befor the ROM upgrade!! But I still did try different cards!! and same problem!! and the same card is working perfectly in other devices!!

I am a newbie so please be patient with me.
I'm not sure whether this is the correct forum, so I'll post the same post in upgarde as well - please forgive me if I made a mistake.
I got 2 wizards off eBay (seperately), and they seem to work fine.
I upgraded to wm6.5 after reading your great instructions. It seems that I succeeded in that.
However, I tried to put mini SD cards but they are not recognized, and I'm tearing my hair out. I started with 4GB cards, but they were not recognized. I returned the cards, after reading that the wizard doesn't support more than 2GB. I got now 2 GB cards, but they are not recognized either.
What's going on here? is it the upgrade, or what?
Is there something I should have done - a patch or something?
I find it hard to believe that the fault is in the phones, since it's the same with both of them - I believe it's a small chance that both of them are faulty in reading cards.
Please help - I am desperate.

well it seems that the rom you flashed has problems with storage card drivers this is common in certain 6.5 roms it even happen in one of mine.
just flash an official wm5 rom to test the sd... if it works then you know the 6.5 rom you have is broken.

Well, the card was sitting fine in the slot - clicking and making the turned off phone to react and turned on. However, I decided to simply add pressure to the card and see if there's any difference. So.... I stuck a little piece of plastic in the slot. Magic: hard-reset, and than it was recognised and works perfect!
Is that stupid or what? I did it on both 2 phones and it's working. May I suggest it's a real defekt in the design of the Wizard...?
are you certain that the card is not an SDHC??
I have the problem that my phone takes corrupt pictures quite often. I've read about a couple of other phones doing the same thing. Has anyone had this problem or know a solution to it?

what rom are you running?
Umm, I have the stock ROM of the Japanese NTTdocomo phone. Do they have different cameras that might work better?
i was going to recommend a different rom if you were rooted.. but i think the first thing you should try is a different sd card... if your sd card is bad you may get corrupted files, i.e. corrupt pictures as they are saved to the sd card
so.... try a different sd card, if you still have problems mabey might have to take it in for repair, hopefully your still on warranty
also mabey try a factory reset although im not sure if that will help...

Hey there guys once again. Ive scrapped my other threads about trying to upgrade to Wp7 NoDO. And now im running into a HUGE problem.
On the downgrade from HSPL to SPL and Stock ROM. I came across the fact my insurance replacement is a GERMAN phone. All via the help desk of HTC.com's Phone support. Which is funny since when i get the phone replaced via my insurance it was on 3.14 or so , WWE not GER.
So the short story is , Ive gone back to stock , And HAD to use a GER Rom , Which in all honesty is absolutely daft. I cant read it? I cant do anything with it :s
Also the USB part of the Phone ONLY accepts Charge , No Data. So its proving difficult to do anything about. So heres my question to you smart guys @ XDA D.
1) Changing the ROM to a WWE Version without the use of USB Data : Is it possible?
2)Getting it to a Later ROM Or at least a working 'English' ROM so i can use it until december? Or even so i can send it to Tmobile for a fix.
3)Do i just 'lose' the phone on purpose and claim on the insurance 'yet again' and bin this absolute PIECE.

not if you have either a pci card reader, (many are internally mounted to usb headers on your motherboard, , these wont work, they return the ID for the usb header, not the attached card) or best of all, any other winmo phone with an sd card slot, , you only need it for 5 mins, so if you have a friend with ANY winmo phone, or, many laptops (but by no means all) have a pci mounted card reader, then you're good to go at making a goldcard.

But all the laptops i have here with Card readers are dead in the water atm ( PC repairman by trade ) I was going to attempt this http://www.nazriawang.com/2010/04/how-to-create-goldcard-with-ubuntu.html , Just unsure on how well it will work. The other unfortunate problem. Ive converted ALL my friends to either HTC's with Android or WP7.
Any nice link on creating a gold card? Other than the one i searched and posted in my original post?

That link is for android phones,just cos the hd2 runs android, it is still a windows phone.(same goes for the webpage many people keep mentioning that offers free goldcards,,, they're for Droid and wp7,,,)
Once you figure out how to get the serial, pm it me with an email address and I'll generate the image for you.

Will show you how to write the image, but you are stuck till you get the serial. Any friend good enough to let you backup their android rom and flash back to winmo temporarily? That's ten thousand times easier than any other way of getting the serial.

Before anything, im sorry for posting as i searched and couldnt find anything and i found that this may be the appropriate place to post.
i have an HTC m8 (Android) and my screen is broken, it also has a pass code and for me to connect with usb ill have to accept the data transfer (which i cant).
is there any program i can install to an Sd card that will force download all data to it? or is there a way that i can see and control my phone through pc? anything to recover my data.
i tried taking it to support but no garantee and i was charged 200Euros for a new screen... so no go lol
appreciate any help i can get.

Hey two things
1. For accessing device memory- i do not know.....
2. For sd card- pull off sd card and put in other phone.
Alternatively there is China touchscreen which is 1/6 the price of original. Find if compatible screen is available . so u can use ur phone back. Mail for queries [email protected]
