HELP iPaq HW6965 FREEZ ON START UP only hp logo on screen and fone cant connect to pc and cant put it on boot mode , any advise please or how to realy put in boot mode ? thx in advance
Enter Bootloader mode !
To enter bootloader mode press simultaneously the two front buttons (the left and right of the keyboards joystick) and the soft reset with your stylus, but you must put screen under the bright light or you wont see when your iPAQ will go to bootloader mode. Then you put USB cable from iPAQ to your PC and you will see if iPAQ detects USB craddle. Then you tray to update iPAQ with french ROM and this is it. Try this and report.

before bootmode try to take out your miniSD and then try HR
power+send+end+SR
it is trky so may not work for the first time
so try till you make it right

phone cant go on boot mode only says done or somthing else and restart on hang screen hp but no boot mode sucsess , any advise plz ?

I have made my worst error in my life i think... i was trying to update my rom.... but ...
First my HW6915 with a great hp logo wich says "hp invent, vG.39" and in the top something that says "serial" or "usb" when i plug it up.
I try to fix it with i know .
But now ....black ......with nothing
I have reading all the things you talked and having no idea .
i asked someones help..How can i do!

can you make a hard reset?? by pressing simultaneously the five buttons : power button, camera button from left side, green "send" button and red "end" button from keypad and the soft-reset button (using your stylus)... ? (i was tired first time i wrote the procedure, my mistake!)
or, perhaps, enter bootloader by pressing simultaneously the two front buttons (the left and right of the keyboards joystick) and the soft reset (using your stylus)
if ok, you'll have that screen again, showing vG.39 on bottom, and "serial" or "usb" on top...

You can try hard reset, bat not in the way wikidork was told you. You must press POWER button, GREEN dial button, RED stop button together and then pres RESET with stylus. If this wont work then try with bootloader mode like wikidork told you. When you are in bootloader mode try to upgrade with French ROM and then with ENGLISH one like i did. This must work.

that means you accidentaly broke your hp's bootloader... unless you have some knowledge on dealing with JTAG-related operations, it seems useless to try other software miracles...best advice : sell the rest of your device or buy a similar hp with broken display from e-bay, in order to change the mainboard... or send the dead ipaq to some professional service...

Hi. Please I need your help because I don't now if my PDA is broken, I tried to change the language German to Spanish the realized steps have been the following. - hw6915_up_2_spanish_flasher
when the installation process finish (I'm not sure if I disconnects the PDA from the base before finish the process because now on the screen appears the following.
Serial + hp + vG.39 but change when I conect it to the computer to : USB + hp + vG.39
I don't now what is the next step to load spanish rom I have the archive but how I have to do it because when I conect the Hw6915to de computer to charge the rom after one minute appears error.Pls what I can do but the thing is that now the PDA is inoprative NO GERMAN - NO SPANISH.

ok friends just some one try to help me here , i have ipaq 6965 and now is damaged first time it freez on hp logo and then when i try to make an upgrade i choose the wrong file so the ipaq can now enter only on usb mode and show me V0.19 on the bottom of screen and cant now more accept any upgrade , always stack on radio , so please is there any way to restore it by memory card sd ,? i see that in forum but cant find the correct file and how can i create a good sd card for restore . !! Solution:
this is what I did to get this fixed.
1) Get the battery out of the iPaq, and wait for a few minutes while the "serial" image fades away slowly.
2) In the meantime, prepare your cradle, plugged into the AC charger and plugged via USB to your PC.
3) After a few minutes, with the screen of the iPaq completely gray, put the battery and battery cap back on (with our without SIM card), and put it on the cradle immediately.
4) The iPaq should start coming back to life, as if it were being hard reset. Let is stay on the welcome screen (i.e., do not tap it or anything).
5) Restart the upgrade process, it should proceed from there OK

I wanted to upgrade my operating system on my XDA II but to do that i need to use the power button but on my phone the button is broken, is there any way to get to the serial screen such as a freeware program i can run or another way of doing it?

Ok give this a Try it was Originally for Polaris but it works with my prophet so i am assuming it works with other htc devices ,Install the cab then run Enter BootLoader from programs\tools folder (no button pressing needed)

1. MY DEVICE BUTTONS(HARD KEYS) NOT WORKING BUT I CAN MAKE THE DEVICE IN BOOTLOADER (TRICOLOR) MODE BY PRESSING CAMERA + POWER BUTTON.
2. AFTER INSTALLING A ROM WHENEVER MY DEVICE STARTS IT SHOWS THE HARD RESET SCREEN (BLACK SCREEN........... ALL THE DATA ...BLAH BLAB......)

if u can get ur tricolor screen then try this
connect the usb cable to pc and see if u get the USB words on the phone tricolor screen if so good try flashing any official ROM the same happened to my phone long back did the above got my phone back asuming u have done HSPL for ur phone if u have not done that then the only way is to take it to service

Wrong forum.. Touch P3450 is not a touch 3g , its the original touch (ELF version)
but i will try and help as i have owned both.
if your hardware buttons are not working it could be possible that your send and end keys are stuck down as this key combo brings up the hard reset you are talking about.
think you are going to have to open it as it sounds like a hardware fault, and if you cannot get into bootloader you cannot flash
if it was working alright before this is not the case, but either way you will have to fix your camera button and get into bootloader
i have hp ipaq6828 phone... so i did flash it with new rom after complete full install my device came to black screen.. i was try to get turn on it again.. but it cant... its nw charging.. charge light is work fine... but no more power on or no more boot loader screen & hp logo screen... so how can i ge bootloader sccreen again??? or hw can i fix my devicce... please help... i love my phone & i dont have enought my to buy new one....

after you have fully charged your phone, try flashing it again...Happy New Year.

try to Hard Reset your device , here the way to do that...
Perform a hard reset with the iPAQ. To perform a hard reset,
1. Press and hold the Answer/Send, Power, and End Call buttons.
2. While holding these buttons, use the stylus to lightly press the Reset button on the bottom (located at lower left base of the iPAQ), of the HP iPAQ until the device restarts.
3. When the HP iPAQ restarts, release all of the buttons, and then remove the stylus from the Reset button. The HP iPAQ restarts and powers on.
CAUTION: A Hard reset clears memory, deletes all data (such as owner information under Setup Wizard and AutoConfigurator) and restores the rw6818/rw6828 to its default factory settings. The action will erase all data that you have created and programs you have installed, but will keep all the preinstalled programs that were in the phone when your phone was first delivered to you. Be sure you have backed up all your data in a mini SD card or on your PC before performing a hard reset
