after i instaled WM6 G4 on my jamin it restarted it stoped on the blue screen of i-mate that appear b4 starting the windows. and it dun want to start the windows and i cant syncronize to try another version of WM6 .. and i want to know wt is the difference between G3 and G4. plz help coz my i-mate is dead now

then u need the g4 version.

Flash your choice of wm6 rom.

Remember, never flash wm6 over wm6;
u always have to downgrade to wm5 before every flash of wm6....

i did and it works good. but i had a new trouble the screen touch works for sometimes then it goes dead after some clicks on it .. however the keys works properly (all the keys) the camera , the start menu. the mobile works properly from the keys but the screen touch dun work after some clicks on it. can u help me

ok i think iv killed my m600
i flashed it with the older imate rom the 1.0.9 version
it installed 100% and rebooted and from ther it was stuck on the imate screen for like 10 minutes and i see the following text in red on the top left corner

What you could do is flash it with an newer rom
Hold camera button AND reset (be asure that it hold it while resetting)
Then... you are in you bootloader... connect the PDA with your PC..it will recognized it!
Then run the romupdate ;-)

Aren't you getting "USB" written in the bottom left corner of the 3 colour screen when you connect it to USB?
Yes i get the USB come up at the bottom of the screen my computer does not do anything. can you tell me which ROM i will need as the ones i have to run the ROM update but it comes back saying connect to ActiveSync which i can not do is there a way round this?

The problem appeared today morning, while listening music using tcmp. the sound stopped suddenly, and standard animated cursor appeared over tcmp screen. i closed tcmp, and the rest of the system seemed fine, i was able to mute the phone and entered my work place. After a while i noticed the screen is off and i can not turn it on using pwr button, although green led kept blinking so the phone was operating. after a soft reset it would not go over splash screen showing IPL, SPL (which are: IPL: 1.06, SPL 1.06, GSM: 01.12.10, OS 1.6.2.4).
I've tried multiple times and still the same, only difference is that sometimes I can see the cursor and sometimes not. I can get to rgb screen and "press send to restore" as well, but that's it. I can't remember whether previously pressing a key illuminated a screen and keys, but now it doesn't. I used to have problems with screen not going black on idle since few days, but that's it. What could have happened? And if the only solution is hard reset, please tell me, could I somehow backup my contacts now? I don't have activesync here so I have to wait till I finish my work to find out..

That's spooky. My MDA has the same versions of IPL, SPL, GSM and OS, and this morning started misbehaving.
What's this rgb screen you can get to with the "press send to restore" option?
How do I do a hard reset (I have a backup on SD) without being able to get to the Start>Settings>System>Clear storage control panel option?
Rgb screen is a bootloader which i enter by holding cam+voicedial+commmanager butons while softreseting wizard. the other screen i mentioned i enter holding cam and voice buttons, and then pres reset. that screen says 'pres send to restore factory defaults any other key to quit' and it does hard reset if you press green button here...
my problem seems to be over for now, i managed to turn the phone on while i plugged it into a wall charger (believe me, the battery was not a problem - i don't know for how long it's ok now, but at least i made contacts backup now so that i'm ok with a hard reste if i have to...
You both have old roms and could do with upgrading them to aku2 roms. (your device will be more stable) i.e. the first number of the rom will be 2. Please dont ask me to go through how to flash a rom because there are hundreds of posts on the same topic and read the wiki - shortcut top left of the screen. You need to identify whether your device is g3 or g4 but i suspect you both have g3 chips.
Now read & read esp the wizard upgrading forum and wiki and then when you feel confident - flash your device.
mu chipset is g3 based on my ipl/spl info... i wouldn't dare to ask anyone to explain the process of flashing, i'm not that crazy. only thing i'd dare, would be to advice me what rom should i use... or a way to determine this, since i know it can't be just any rom...

Looking at your rom numbers i gather you have a t-mobile vario - is it uk or usa rom or polish - i see you live in poland.

Its prob best you sim unlock and cid unlock before you flash in case you change to a non-tmobile rom inc one of the cooked roms.

thats right, its tmobile vario, uk one. it is sim unlocked, i'm not sure about cid but it should not be a problem. thanks for the hints, it really seems more then enough;] i'll probably have to use theese, as soon i have a spare evening...
you don't have to explain me the importance of gprs settings - forcing my wiz to work in uk's o2, then in polish plusgsm, then loosing settings and doing it again finally got me into a habbit of backing every settings up ;]

Ok i was trying to get XM6 on it. And i got the error code 300 so i tryed this other rom to make it work"ROMUpdateUtility_Wizard_NoID" and now when i turn my phone on it just go straight to the 3 color dos looking screen it shows my IPL and SPL and thats it, i cant get out of it please help me !

U are in bootloder mode. Thats fine. U didnt bricked ur phone. Now u can softreset ur mobile. By infrared eye u will see a hole and with your pen restart ur device.
BUT FIRST you have to know if u have G3 or G4 model. if your ipl/spl is 2.21.0001 - with 3 zeros than u have g4. READ ALL ABOUT G4, cause if u use rom for g3 or any rom which isnt for wizard OR ANY ROM WHICH contains IPL/SPL u are SCREWED UP. YOUR mobile will die and u could just throw it away.
SAFE ROMS for g4 are: NBD, faria, OCTAIVOI's etc. See a few on this link: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=wizard_WM_6
AND you should also read ALL about sSPL method - GREAT, FANTASTIC WAY TO FLASH YOUR G4.

Try flashing your operator's official rom back into the phone to begin with. That should get you at least a working phone again.
Check the XDA-Wiki (button on top of this screen) on the Wizard section how to troubleshoot or unbrick your phone
Ok i got it back to facotry reinstalled the tmboile software from the website but to give a heads up i have cingular useing a tmobile phone so its already unlocked. ok now i need to find away to install XDA Mobile 6.0.0. now quick question is this as close i can get to the windows mboile 6 eye candy, but thanks atlist i got my phone back up and running but can some 1 tell me the files i need to get started on XDA Mobile 6.0.0.

Ok this is what happends i tryed to install XDA Mobile 6.0.0 and put the file ROMUpdateUtility_Wizard_NoID in the folder and click ROMUpdateUtility_Wizard_NoID and it installs and when it gets done it goes right back to the 3 color screen. am i doing something wrong, reason i use ROMUpdateUtility_Wizard_NoID is because i get error 300 with out it when i try the XDA Mobile 6.0.0 normaly.
hello everyone. i just bought a g3 wich remains stuck in the ipl/spl screen. i tried VIPPIE 's tutorial (many thanks man for ur work) and flash button rom 1.05 to revive the phone. it flashed without any error , but same result. phone doesnt pass the ipl/spl screen. next i tried to flash Xda_MiniS_LaunchROM_v154102, flashed ok but nothing happend. i m just stuck on the ipl/spl screen. the phone isnt bricked but i can not start it to do a soft spl and flash it. any ideas ?
because it s an o2 xda mini s , i thought an original o2 rom would do the trick (start the phone) but i couldnt find an original rom (tried the xda dev ftp page and the o2 one).

Is it the Bootloaders screen(Tricolor) with IPL/SPL or initial loading screen with ipl/spl ?
What ipl/spl...? it displays at the moment ?
You can try to get into Bootloaders mode (tricolor screen) by pressing and holding down the camera button and press the Soft Reset button at the same time with the stylus or turn off the phone and while pressing and keeping holding down the camera button,Power On the phone,it'll wake up and go into Bootloaders (tricolor screen).if it goes into bootloaders,connect your phone to the pc via usb and check if small usb appears at the bottom of the bootloaders screen,if its there run the Ruu to flash,But first post your present ipl/spl..? here.

well, in my case , after button rom flashes wizard displays IPL 1.01 SPL 1.03 and after i flash the xda_mini_launch_rom it displays IPL 1.03 SPL 1.05 . NOT SPL 2.xx as mentioned in the tutorial . why ?

i get it into bootloader with the camera + on button , bot the active sync on the systray , doesnt activate, it remains grey (like no device is connected). weird stuff.

ok,after flashing button's rom or xda_mini you'll certainly have an ipl/spl 1.xx,cuz these roms have actually ipl/spl 1.xx,they are aku 1.xx roms,it's required to have ipl/spl 1.xx to use lokiwiz02b tool to SIM/CID unlock the phone,only then it can be upgraded to any wm6 roms.But to upgrade to wm6 its essential to have ipl/spl 2.xx,so to get to ipl/spl 2.xx,you have to flash your phone with T-mobile 2.26,then it'll show an ipl/spl 2.xx as required,ok

thanks mate , but in order to do the lokiwiz soft spl i need to have a working phone (i need to write the cab into my phone and execute). by doing so , my phone needs to work after flashing the button rom or the xda mini launch rom (right?). but mine , after flashing, remains in the ipl/spl screen (not the bootloader).
if i flash an o2 xda mini original rom , do i have a chance to revive the phone and to start it in order to apply the lokiwiz soft spl ?
Activesync will not work in bootloaders mode,bootloaders cut off the activesync,you can only verify the connectivity between your phone and pc,if in bootloaders,connect the phone to the pc via usb cable and check if small usb appears at the bottom of the bootloaders,if its there then just flash the rom,there's no need to establish connection through activesync,ok

YES ! first of all you got to have a working OS on the phone to activesync,only the you can perform with lokiwiz02b,ok
ok , so what should i do in order to start it succesfully and use lokiwiz. i cant find an original o2 rom and button rom or launch rom doesnt start my phone. what can i do ?

after a lot of searching and digging, i found the missing xda dev ftp O2 original roms . i flashed Xda_MiniS_LaunchROM_v154102 , everything went ok , same result. doesnt pass the ipl spl screen. tried RUU_Wizard_1050402_101_11210_O2_ENG and same thing. im getting really confused. my pc responses when i connect the wizard, it flashes with no errors , but it wont start. what can i try more ?
ohh, i have made a new nasty descovery: when i keep pressed down the comm button and the voice button and press the reset with stylus, the phone turns off and restarts in spl/ipl screen instead of hard resseting. is it really messed up ?
I'm afraid m8,it has most probably some hardware issues,better get it checked by some techy or mobile repair shop.

can u see the bootlload mode??
is a coloured screen (varoius colors in horizontal bars)
if is possible then, flash again, with a wizard ROM now...

bro... its not the 4coloured screen...
its the screen written "IMATE" and its only blue...
and to flash with a new rom i need to sync my wizard with the PC... but my wizard is stuck in the one color (blue with the imate logo) screen...
To sync with your pc you must be at bootloader (tricolor) screen.
I took the following from the Wizard Wiki.
