Support for O2 Xda Atom Exec - JASJAR, XDA Exec, MDA Pro General

I've searched all over the net and no one has told me if this is Universal or not
Is it possible to upgrade to WM6 using this smartphone:
http://www.o2.com.au/product/XdaAtomExec/template/Product.vm
Is there support for this device as you guys only support O2 Xda Exec not the atom ones
I tried using your upgrade but active sync just shuts down.

This device is called the Atom, not the Universal, so you need to go to the forum called..... Atom

Cant find it here:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_PhoneModels
If it isnt an universal then what is it

O2 XDA II Mini and O2 II (S???)

Hi,
1. Just received an O2 XDA II, however:
a) "XDA II" is what is printed on the phone (Silver) case but when I
turned it on "XDA IIs" is shows up during the phone start up.
For info,
O/S is WinMobile 2003 2nd Ed., Ver. 4.21.1088.
Processor is Intel PXA263
ROM Version / Date is 2.06.00WWE / 06-14-04
Radio Version: 1.18.00
So what does this make my phone, an XDA II or XDA IIs?
b) In the [Programs] menu window, there is a folder:
"Communications/WiFi Tools/WLAN Tools (Mobile Edition)"
The WLAN program is from "www.socketcom.com" - (Utility Version
2.0 and a Build Date of Jan 20, 2005)
Does this mean I can WIFi? And do I still need to get a WiFi Card or
the phone itself is already WiFi capable?
2. I also have an O2 XDA II Mini which I have been using for the past year. So far I have already sync the "Contacts" and the other files from my Mini to the XDA II.
However, is there a way to copy/sync its "Messages" folders to my O2 XDA II? I have saved a lot of important texts and made numerous subfolders, and thus really need to duplicate the existing format to my other unit. So far using Active Sync and Microsoft Outlook has not worked for me.
Appreciate any advise you can give.
Thanks, Pogi
Does it have a slide out keyboard at the bottom ?
the XDA IIs is supposed to !
Nope. The unit itself is XDA II. However, when I trun on the phone, the start up displays "XDA IIs". Plus there is a WLAN program (XDA II does not usually have this). Tx

The XDA 2i looks like and XDA 2 and has built-in WiFi. Does yours actually have WiFi, or just a program (which doesn't actually do anything)?
Mine has the WLAN program and just needs a Wi-Fi Card to run.
Thanks
Pare, what you have over there is an XDAII but with software upgraded to WM2003 Second Edition giving it the same software as the XDAIIs so the only difference that I know of between the XDAII (upgraded) and the XDAIIs is the keyboard (XDAIIs has a builtin one), WLAN (XDAIIs has it builtin) and the larger memory and faster chip on the XDAIIs.

Maraming salamat for the info. So does this mean ... all I need is to buy a Wi-Fi card? What brand to you suggest besides Sundisk?

Confused - Imate JAMin

Was reading through another forum today and someone was asking about the O2 Atom and I-Mate JAMin. I knew about the atom but hadn't heard anything about the JAMin
Thought I'd do a search on the trusty xda-developers forum and found it actually comes under this group why??? isn't it just the replacement of the Jam as the Atom is to the mini?? and therefore part of the magician threads?
Anyway looks like some resaerch for me

I don't know what are you going to research, but JAMin is a different device with different hardware and different operating system from JAM.
HTC JAMin name is Prophet, this is why it is found here.
And the Atom is not the replacement of the mini. At least, what I mean is that it is a totally different device. the atom is made by quanta, the mini by htc.

use other rom for my dopod 900?

i wanna ask if it possible to use o2 xda exec for my dopod 900 which is same as o2 xda exec..
as long as the dopod is a HTC 'universal' then its fine.
why would you want the O2 exec ROM - its old and lacks many good features like push email & stereo BT

windows mobile 6 wanted for spv m700 aka trinity 100

does anyone have a windows mobile 6 for spv m700 also please make sure it contains gps and wifi n bluetooth radio roms....if any has this i would appreciate some help to find it thanx
Its worth using the search feature, there are some VERY good wm6 roms for the Trinity/M700, but you will need to make sure you install the orange patches. Use search and you will find plenty.
Plus...there is a section for WM6 upgrades to Trinity on this forum.

How to recognize an Atom Exec from an Atom

Good morning,
Greetings to everyone, I am new in this site.
I am going to buy on ebay an used Atom Exec.
Some sellers write on the title that the Atom is the Exec model but sometimes they are not sure about it.
So I would like to ask you:
Are there some esthetical characteristics which make different the Atom from the Atom Exec ?
What is the name written on the original box ? Is it always " O2 XDA Atom" or it changes when the box belongs to Atom Exec ?
Thank you for your attention.
Goodbye.
This is an example: http://i6.ebayimg.com/02/i/000/de/cd/db85_1.JPG .
Do you think that this is an Xda Atom or an Xda Atom Exec ?
hi
the only difference between atom and atom exec is the processor, atom exec processor is faster otherwise there is no cahnge bet. both the models.
cheers
the atom is glossy black in color. atom exec is smoke grey. another is on the atom, there is a media plus button. this button becomes the messaging button on the atom exec.
