imov instant messenger ... - JASJAR, XDA Exec, MDA Pro General

Hi All,
I have downloaded and installed the free version of imov instant message application (Jabber Client) onto my O2 XDA EXEC.
It works gr8 but one problem. When my phone goes into power save mode imov disconnects from the jabber server.
Anyone with any suggestions on what I can do to resolve this ? basically I want imov to be connected to the jabber server all the time !
Many thanks.

Yahoo Messenger

Is there anyone out there that is logged into YM? I want to check if I can get it working (in the UK). My id is <two_tc1>
Thanks
Tim
YM (in the UK)
Of course 02 tech support didn't suggest anything, but I had some limited success using proxy server settings:
GRPS with 193.113.200.195 port 8080 (for UK users)
It works, but YM iteslf had a few problems.
Regards
Tim
I have problems using Yahoo Messenger ... but when i installed IMOV Universal Mobile Messenger .. everything works fine.
I couldn't make YM to run as well. I tried everything, but it just displays "connecting ..." . I heard it's a common problem coz it seems was designed for PPC running Win CE and a mobile as a modem and not PPPE.
I 'm using IMov for now, but have to say its interface is so dull :x ... of course comparing to what we used to see by using the PC versions of ICQ and Yahoo and MSN.
There is another universal client as well which is OdigoMessengerForce but it does exactly like YM. :? If anyone can figure out how it's working, it would be great coz it has a great interface.
Salam
Hi ,
Please tell me where to download that software ? " OdigoMessengerForce "

Is Yahoo Messenger available on XDA II?

Caqn you have yahoo messenger on XDA II?
Try VeriChat. It consolidates Yahoo! Messenger, MSN Messenger, AOL Instant Messenger and ICQ into one neat package.
for XDA II. Verichat is for palm based only
iMov :

Yahoo! Messenger
Does anybody know why Yahoo messenger dont work with XDA2?
I installed it but I can´t connect with server using GPRS.
I do not think so you will be able to find ANYBODY who got connected via !Yahoo IM on ANY device...
This version was only version and never worked...
Minus to Yahoo for this I cannot understand why !Yahoo still didn't release normal version for PPC
I read it would be necessary to config a proxy server for Yahoo works, don't you? :?:
tried - nothing worked...

Pocket MSN error

Every time I try to login to messenger I get
logon to msn messenger service failed because service is not responding
As a test downloaded Agile messenger and it worked first time
Error happens whether I am using usb, gprs or wifi for web access
Skearon,
I get the same problem when using it via GPRS, although Cable and WiFi is fine...
Can I ask a quick question? Are you using a custom email address? i.e. '[email protected]' as your .NET passport? or are you using an actual @hotmail/msn account?
I am using a custom account, *******@*****.me.uk, and this normally causes problems with the MSN protocol (server side applications) the only other way round it for pocket msn would be to create a hotmail account and use that on ur PPC.
Hope that helps a bit?!
Cheers.

hmmm.. not a clue then, i blame my problem on MSN server side, but obviously not...
Keep me update if you can please!
Using GPRS ( not in 3G area) we logged into MSN with no problem

Skearon,
I have had the same problem, but cannot force it to happen.
Use a non hotmail adress on MSN.
But Agile seems to be better. And, I have the impression that Agile recovers better when having been without GPRS signal, like an underground.
MSN mostly did not recover and showed the "tap to sign in" so leaving me who knows how long without being on line.

Yes I also get this. It happens frequently but not always, and I've got a hotmail.com email.

Moandal,
Try Agile..... It (still) is for free. I use it day after day.
Don't change its notification sound however. I have the feeling that that may cause it freezing randomly.

All in one Messenger app

Hi all,
I need a all in one messenger which can help me login to Skype, Gtalk, Yahoo etc..
I tried using Nimbuzz, but it tells cannot connect to Nimbuzz server. Try after some time. My GPRS is working fine, but still not able to connect
I tried using Fring the same problem there also.
is there any other app. Pls let me know.
Thanks
Ganesh
I had the same issue with nimbuzz. But now it works fine. I like it because it's the best looking messenger app that I tried. What you need to make sure is that you create your nimbuzz profile on their website and link your instant messenger accounts to that profile. By doing so, when logging into nimbuzz mobile you only need to pass one login. Also, I found that on my device, the app is unable to open the network 3g connection on it's own. So I activate data connection before starting nimbuzz so it can be able to connect. Hope this helps
I use http://www.palringo.com/en/gb/ not sure about skype but Yahoo etc works
