Hi All.
Exist any software for wifi monitoring about me on the Qtek 9100?
Thanks for any answear

To my mind the best one is WiFiFoFum2. I use it on my Qtek 9100. Thats great indeed. Try it. Another one I've also tried is WiFi Companion. This one is shareware.

hitchhicker is also one of my favourites and is freeware

You already received some tips to find access points, but it's not clear if you mean that.
It could be you're looking for a sniffer.
There is only one utility I've found until now, and that's:
http://airscanner.com/downloads/sniffer/sniffer.html
But there are some issues with the program, see here:
http://forums.pocketpcfaq.com/viewtopic.php?t=17629&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=45

I now testing WiFiFoFum.
...but
I must install .NET CF 2.0., which occupied 5MB of memory
....but
WiFiFoFum is great software
I have a look at Airscanner Mobile Sniffer.
Thanks for answears

I found FREE wifi monitor here:

jasjar, wm5 and tomtom5

First post. So a newbie.
Got my (universal) jasjar yesterday. From initial assessment it's a great piece of kit and NOT as big many claim. Only marginally bigger than PDA2K.
However, Tomtom 5 will not install from the CD. Setup just bombs out as soom as I click install.
I have seen similar reports on the Himalaya(?). Has anyone solved the install problem. If yes, is the himalaya solution going to work on the universal?
Would welcome any advice on what to try. Thanks
hello

I don't have this problem but I have seen a lot of chat about it on Buzzdev.net. I did a search and have included the search page here: http://buzzdev.net/index.php?option=com_simpleboard&Itemid=&func=view&catid=26&id=2758#2758
Great site anyway to have a browse on
Hope it helps
Thanks Seal, I'll pop over and hava a looksie. I'll let you know if I succeed.
A little help from you please, I have asked this question on so many sites and forums and no one seems to know so you have the actual device might know, Can you cut/copy/paste on the key board, there doesn't seem to be a Ctrl Key, but maybe the Function key does it. Please any anwser would be awesome.
Seal
Yes you can use the keyboard for cut/copy and paste. You use the FN Function+Space keys and this combination brings up editing shortcuts
You have been the final decider, I now must order this device, thankyou heaps, I appreciate your answering.

tomtom5 now working
I have now got tomtom working. I followed the instructions on the Himalaya forum and extracted the cab files to my storage card and installed from there.
Now I just need CheckPOInt to recognise the Great Britain Map.

QTEK 9000 (aka HTC Universal) - Q's

Hello all,
So I got me a QTEK 9000 with the following set:
ROM Version : 1.13.64 WWE
Radio Version : 1.03.00
Protocol Version :42.36.P8
Here's a few probs I have:
1.) I'm missing that darn BTIcon in my tray. Can anyone post a link to a CAB file enabling me to install the sucker?
2.) When applying the manual VGA tweak for 640X480 res I do not see the Windows Start icon or any other icon in the top bar besides time displayed on the top righthand side.
Please advice and/or provide BTIcon.CAB specifically for HTC Universal or QTEK 9000. I tried all the other options on this website already.
Thanks,
D
Aaah come on people. No one that can help me out here?

Settings/Comms sports the BT Icon beautifully but it doesn't show in the Tray and Top.

Hello Dream,
Thanks for the advice but in my opinion something as simple as a Bluetooth icon should be solveable without referting to a complete ROM change. Please advice.
Best regards,
D

thank you thank you thank you.
I am just curious, when you say BT icon, are you referring to the small icon on the tray that shows the connection for the phone, BT, WiFi, and All?
Hi,
Regarding your missing icons in VGA mode. The 96.dll files have been "signed" with a developers certificate (SDK) therefore you need to load the SDK certificate on to your system before these system resources will be permitted to operate.
There should be a file called SdkCerts.cab which you need to install first.
Please note that the use of the SDK certificates will pose a security risk to your system.

KJAM success on a 9100/MDA VARIO. Also a few questions.

Today I unlocked my 9100 and a friend's MDA VARIO. On both I put the KJAM ROM. Works like a charm. Thanks for all the good info I found here.
A few questions.
I have enabled the Extended ROM on my 9100 and saw that the KJAM also put it's own files there. The original ER had also a config file. I didn't see it in the KJAM rom. Does this mean that I can put all my favourite files there without editing a config?
Like to put mobipocket, resco's sudoku and spb's pocket plus there. Maybe also the disable certificate cab. What about serials? Is it possible to automagically have them registered there?
Is there a softphone/SIP proggy out there? Using at home a SIPURA 1001 for SIPDiscount/Voipbuster/Budgetphone. Would be fun that I could call for free with my QTEK9100 on every open Wireless Network.
To all.. Have a very prosperous 2006!
For VoIP I am using sjphone. Works quite good. You can get it here: http://www.sjlabs.com/sjp.html
I am using the 2003 version.
Thanks for putting me in the right direction. Installed SJPhone today, and already made my first phonecalls with it connected to SIPDiscount. Also made a setting for Budgetphone.NL. The idea was to get called on a normal local fixed line with it. Have it working till the part the phone rings. But with SJPhone I can't seem to pick up the line.

Network Analyzer for WM5 available from MS!

Hi There,
Just found the following info there:
http://www.clieuk.co.uk/wm.shtml
Can output packets to a cap file (ethereal) among other things.
Direct link to the software:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...01-49d4-4506-a03b-c41bc76c2f51&DisplayLang=en
And for those overlooking the instructions:
Only install in ROM, not on Storage/SD
Cheers,
Hal
Software placeholder
Here is the software, just in case some can't access this page.
Now the question is: does it work in L2 promiscuous mode? Would be nice to troubleshoot basic WiFi...
Enjoy,
Hal

I'm wondering how it works overall.. I haven't tried it yet, as I've had this fit of customizing OS ROM's that I think I finally have out of my system.. Need to put it on my device, just haven't gotten that far yet.
I would really like to test this little util, but doesn`t work on my O2 Trion.

[APP] Phoneweaver 1.4.2 - Bluetooth Switching Fixed

Hi,
Miguel at SBSH has been working on a fix for Phonweaver for use with the TP2 - he has sent me numerous test programs and logs and on Friday he sent me the fixed version of the software.
He has given me permisiion to post it on here.
Registered users can install it over the existing version and new users should be able to run it as a trial.
The software is awesome and I have used it on my last three devices and now I can use it on my TP2
One of things I can't live without on my devices
Thanks for posting this. Was active on SBSH but it's nice to see some progress here on XDA
Now even BT works fine on my TP2 ...
what does this exatcly do ??
My bluetooth works fine ??
Please shed some light
Tried google? :S
I have to say that I'm beemerTPPC here but also miguel from SBSH.
I plan to release the minor version for this fix and another little ones before end of the month. I usually don't post here nothing about my commercial programs but as I haven't started the thread I'll do this time.
PhoneWeaver is not a BT program it is a profiler program that among tons of other parameters change BT state, and that was the issue with TP2: It didn't work, but this version will solve it.

I have to say IMHO PhoneWeaver is without doubt the best profiling software on the market and the level of service and support Miguel gives is second to none. He is a genius - try the software and I am positive you will be impressed.
Thanks Miguel AKA BeemerTPPC

Yes - I'm using it on TP2
Great! BT is now switched on/off as it runs perfectly on my old devices.
This stays one of the most important Add-Ons of my PPCs.
