poor sound quality in BT within a call - iPAQ rw6828, XDA Atom General

hey,
the sound quality within a call via BT is bad! also, when using the phone is bad.
the only time the quality is good, is when i connect the headphones which came with the device.
anyway have the same problem? do you have a solution?

Hello, I have the same problem. Have you found a solution ? For information, I'm using a HTC BT headset S100 with the Trinity. In general, the volume is too low for the headset to be used other than in a quiet room.

Sound Quality is up to @#[email protected][email protected]

Hi, is it just me or is the quality of sound on the wizard realy bad?
The normal speaker used when making a call is barely audible and the people on the other side complain they are unable to hear me.
Playing wit the the AGC does not make a noticable diffirence...
And then... When using Bluetooth it is even worse. It is so bad that I no longer use my BT, and I have two BT headsets: A Bluetrek G2 and a I-Tech Stereo one.
Does anyone have any advice?
Strange, I don't ahve this problem and I also use a BluTrek G2

SonyEricsson HBH-300 bt hf poor sound quailty

Greetings and salutations all.
Here is my problem. I have HBH-300 bluetooth handsfree and the sound quality of this hf is superior (to my taste) to any other I have tried.
This, however is not the case with it connected to TyTN. The sound quality of the earpiece is very poor (like all the f's and s's gets badly distorted). I have tested TyTN with 3 other bt hf:s (Nokias and Jabra) without any problems with the sound quality. The mic quality appears to be the same as with other phones according to the other person of the phone calls.
I've tried modify the registry acording to the idea of enhancing the stereo bt sound quality (tho this is just a mono hf) and tried to lower the value of the bluetooth speaker, but no luck.
So, any idea if there's anything for me to try to be able to use my beloved HBH-300 or is it just the Nokia/Jabra way from now on ?

!HELP!::: Bluetooth Registry hack...want to only use mic

I have an iPaq 2495, and my internal mic...well, I broke it...anyway,...it has the WIDCOMM BTStack, and I have a motorola BT Headset (designed for cell phone use). Well, it works ok...once paired, it redirects all the sound from the iPaq to the BT, and the BT mic works alright for voice recording.
The playback quality is horrible though. But on my sister's cell phone w/BT, it is really clear. The BT (mono) headset speaker seems to crackle, skip and/or buffer, when using with my PPC...I tried using Skype(PPC) with it, and my brother said he could hear me fine (said their was a background humming...which I've noticed in my recordings...), but it was hard for me to hear him. Not volume wise, it just wasn't clear.
So I want to use the internal speaker for listening/playing music(sounds really good), but just want to use the Bluetooth for the mic. Is there any way/hack that can do this?

BT headset + 614C = problem...

Hello you guys...
I'm ahving a lot of problems with my 614c and my motorola BT.
I can't hear a thing... I know that the sound of the PDA is less than perfect, but the earpiece works 100% with other phones... In 614C the sound is very very low...
Do you know if this can be fixed? If not, what is your best BT headset?
Perhaps go to Audio settings ? If you can't hear much , i suppose its rom related i just flashed to some WM 6.5 (can't recall the build now) and incall volume is maxed out but still it was better before, maybe diffrent ROM ?
I'm using a 6.5 ROM but it seems to be the worst of all...
Do you have a BT earpiece? If so, what brand?
I use the Keys Rom and a Sony BT Headphones and works great. Volume sounds fine for music also for calling.
Can you please tell me what sony headphones you use?
sure, the headphones are:
SONY DR-BT21G. You can read about it in this link
double post
My headset sound quite good, despite the volume on the device itself on the standard HP ROM.Using youtube's own app.
Sitecom CN-532 quite cheap.

Bluetooth volume solved in 2.2?

Is there any news whether bluetooth volume issue is solved in 2.2? (Steph1.2.2?? Or official). Thanks a lot to all the peepz who make this forum great!

Hi re960088
What Bluetooth volume issue is this then? as i have no issues using my Jawbone headset for voice calls or my Nokia BH-500 for streaming Stereo Music the volume is no different to how it has always been for me since i started using the Streak on its release and running 1.6.

This may be a subjective, technical, and / or use case issue. Some people have quite acute hearing and don't experience problems, some people don't use BT headsets while in noisy environments, or maybe the different Streaks have different volumes sent to BT for calls.
In my case, all volumes sent to BT are fine EXCEPT phone calls, which are approximately 1/3rd the volume of media at max volume.
[edit] another issue is the BT mic. In my case, BT tx is waaay to high...most environmental noises are heard louder than my voice.[/edit]
Some means for accessing the BT volume subsystem might be valuable. Apparently "louder volume hack" does not provide answers. If the official 2.2 update does not provide answers, I will be digging. While I am just able to make out conversations under typical conditions, if the calling party is quiet or mumbly, it just won't work!
Thx 4 the above. I use dell streak to call in my car -connect to bluetooth stereo. When it connects it says adjusting bluetooth volume, and the overall sound volume is so low i can barely hear my counterparts very annoying since i sm on the road a lot. Car stereo volume is set at max. Also tried other car no advance! If 2.2 does not fix this, i will have to return it unless some of the smart people here can fix it..thx

Ive used 3different bluetooth headsets and not experienced any of those issues, so can't really say whether it will fix those particular ones.
But froyo does use different bluetooth stack so it may make an improvement to those who have issues.
I did notice that it's a lot more stable with my one jvc stereo headset. 1.6 used to hang quite a lot using that one in particular if I did a combo of button presses
Hi all,
there's definitely an in-call volume "issue" on the 2.1 build (certanly my O2 8105 anyway) when I hook up to either a BT headset or my car's Pioneer BT head unit. Music streaming is awesome, phone calls are only just workable.....
1.6 was much better on volume level but used to break up the sound really badly so I wonder if it was some kind of "fix" for that?
