how to transfer phone call from bluetooth headset to Xda II - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 General

hello, everyone:
anybody know is there is any possibility to transfer phone call from bluetooth headset to Xda II, if I already use bluetooth headset to pickup phone :?:
Thanks

Have you tried clicking the headphone icon in the top status bar?

when a call comes into the phone, a dialog box pops up, allowing you to transfer the call to the phone. how long this stays there i do not know. the other option is to turn on the speaker phone by holding down the green button.
hope this helps

As griffog indicates, click on the headset icon on the XDA II. A balloon window will pop up indicating that the "Bluetooth headset is on". Simply tap "Transfer call to phone", and there you have it!
HTH!

when I pick up phone, I don't have "headphone icon"
I guess that because I install "Pocket Bluetooth Tools" software
so maybe problem is the Pocket Bluetooth Tools
anyway, Thanks~

in my BlueTrek G2 headset, if you puch the "Talk" button for 2 sec during the call, it will be transfered to the device ... I guess this is a common feature in all headsets ... just try it

Thanks, I try this solution in my SORRYEricsson HBH-65 Headset, it not work, just can turn off my Headset.
Ha Ha~

I agree about the SE HBH 35 poor flexibilitity with my Qtek 2020. But as most of the "Blue tooth blues" regarding the XDA II, it's in part to HTC/M$ blame, since the same headset does an impressive job with my SE T-68 phone: voice dialing, call transfer to/from head set, head set incoming caller voice ID, etc.
So I keep thinking that BT is the worst part of the XDA II.

And to trasfer the call from Phone to Headset? Is it possible?

There is little information about this subject in the user manual - but I have tested this with my i-mate and SE HBH-30 BT heaset.
If I answer an incoming call with the headset and then transfer that call to the phone, I can then press the button on the headset and transfer it back.
If I make a call with the phone or answer a call with the phone, I can find no way to transfer it to the headset. Sorry.

Bluetooth Tools & Nokia Handsfree Advice?

I'm aware of the various BT issues with the XDA II, and therefore installed BT Tools thinking it may allow me to use my handfree kit. Unfortunately I'm experiencing problems and not sure if this is me doing something wrong or there is a problem with the software. Basically the XDA II does not route either incoming or outgoing calls via the handfrees unit. I have do the following:-
1. Installed the latest BT Tools.
2. Created a bond with the Nokia Handfree kit, when prompted for the BT profile (the BT Tools icon screen) I select headset only.
3. Enable BT on the XDA II
When I make or receive a call is there any button or menu I should be selecting to enable the handsfree unit?
From the Today screen, make sure bluetooth headset mode is enabled.
And if Bluetooth Headset Mode does not appear on the today screen:
Start -> Settings -> Today -> Items and make sure Profile is checked. That will put the headset mode switch on the Today screen.
Thanks for the suggestions, I must admit I had missed the headset profile on the Today screen.
Even with the device paired, BT enabled & the Headset enable neither incoming or outgoing calls are routed through the handsfree unit.
Any other suugestions welcomed...
With the new bluetooth tools you need to transfer the call to the headset...
I find the best way when dialing is to have the phone ready to dial, then i hit the answer button on the headset causing the phone to dial & transfer sound to the headset @ the same time.
When answering the call the headset should ring and you press the answer button on the headset to recieve the call.

When you say press the headset button are you referring to the headset icon on the XDA or the Nokia handsfree button?
If its the Nokia button , I'll try this tomorrow, if not, then the icon does not ring and when receiving a call it is covered by the incoming call window.
Many thanks...
the nokia headset button

Yep thats what I thought, I think I can confidently say there is a compatability issue with using the current version of BT Tools with the new Nokia CK-7W handsfree kit.
I've read the user manual for the handfree kit and that refers to switching/transferring the call between the BT devices using the button. The unit clicks as if there's something happening, but no call is heard, the unit works perfectly with a BT phone connected both Nokia & Motorola.
I would try uninstalling pocket BT tools - for using a headset it is of no additional value anyway. I do not have it installed and have never had any problems making or receiving calls with my SE HBH-30 headset.
Try using the earlier version of bluetooth tools, make sure you uninstall the version you have and also unbond/remove bluetooth pairings, rebond after successful install.
Pocket Bluetooth Tools is perfect! This is what I'm looking for, except I can't figure out how to listen to music thru my bluetooth headset.
Thanks for the great tool though, now I can make calls with my headset.

The BIG advantage is battery life and not having to re-enable the headset profile each time you switch on the phone! With both PBT and/or Profile not displayed, I also get more Today real estate to play with.
With BT on all the time, I'm lucky to get four hours usage out of my Xda II, with PBT turning it off after five minutes the time can go up to almost seven. Sure, there is a short lag between call coming in and the headset (HBH-65) ringing but I can live with that and it even works well with Pocket Zen Phone. I also like the last number redial facility it adds to my headset. PBT rocks!
I found one problem with this program. My device won't automatically turn off after installing this tool. The backlight turns off, but not the device after certain minutes set. Who do I report the problem too.
i have got this problem to carnt get the xda i to connect to my car blue tooth hands free kit it finds the kit but nothing gome on guy get ya thinking heads on n help  to revolve this problem

Hi everyone,
well, I got the same problem :x with my XDA2, also called Qtek 2020, and Nokia carkit 112. It just does'nt work, even with BT tools. But I wonder how you get the icon screen while connecting to your Nokia carkit...cause mine is going straight back to the "Bluetooth connected devices" screen. I only got the icon screen, enabling the profile selection, while connecting to my Nokia 6310i phone.
Let's hope that HTC is gonna come up with Handsfree profile soon...
Regards to all, special ones to our OZ friends!! Mates, I really enjoyed living in Sydney, even if Italy is quite convenient as well.

How to transfer calls to Bluetooth Headset?

Hi, all.
Hope someone can assist me. I'm using an XDA II that has been upgraded to 2.06 Windows Mobile 2003 SE.
I have enabled the Bluetooth Headset profile on my Today screen and calls will transfer over to my headset (SonyEricsson HBH-65).
My question is for the following scenarios:
1) The calls transfer over but sometimes the connection becomes lost while I'm still mid-way in the call. How do I instruct the XDA to transfer the call to my Headset again? Tried pressing the button on my HBH-65 but the call doesn't transfer.
2) Sometimes, I put on my headset but forgot to turn it on. When a call comes in, I realise my mistake and answer the call on my phone first but then I ask the other party to wait while I turn on my HBH-65. After turning it on, how do I transfer the existing call to my headset?
Hope someone can help with some advice. Thanks in advance
1) I currently use BlueTrek G2 and so far has got no probs at all.
2) The BT headset has to be running before the phone in call. For the BT signal it has to be sent right b4 the phone in call.
I guess that's how you can get ur headset running.
I've got that to my best. Good luck...
No problem with them...
i am using BHB-65 too, they are great ,man, i have no problem with them from the first time using.
1. When you want to connect to the headset, there's an icon near the phone icon, you touch on that , it will indicate the term to transfer the call back the headset or cut it out.
2. When you forgot turning on the BT headset, just turn it on and press "enabled the headset" (on the desktop, remember to "view the profile" in item "Today"), it will automatically transfer the call to the BT headset.
Wish you could do that.

Redirecting outgoing call into the PDA instead of BT headset

Hi all,
I have a problem regarding the choice of the device when dialing numbers.
I mean, when I dial a number and have my BT headset enabled, my PDA automatically directs the sound into the headset. :?
Is there any way to make the PDA direct the sound into the PDA speaker? Is there any option to provide me with a choice which device I want to use :?:
When I answer a call - it's simple: I just push the buton on the device I want to talk through. 8)
I dream of the option provided by Sony Ericsson phones - when you dial a number, the device asks you whether you want to talk throung the headset or the phone itself...
I tried to search through the forum, but no results show in (wrong keywords?).
Thanks in advance :!:
than whats the point of the headset. Just click the right soft key, and click something about turning off the headset

You mean what point? That the headset is the one & only "right" device to use when you turn it on?
It's pointless to have the headset put on your ear all the time - especially when you want to make just a short call. It's much more convenient to redirect the call to the PDA without turning off the BT. 8)
Thanks anyway, still looking for ideas...
Nobody knows?
I just put it up once again to make it visible...

Bluetooth Voice Activation

I am using a Plantronics 510 BT headset, but i can't figure out how to get the voice activation working.
I beginning to think that it is not supported, read the manual and afaik it doesn't mention the subject at all.
Has anyone got it working yet?

I am not sure I understand your question but I use a SonyEricsson stereo BT headset and when I press the "answer" button on the headset (when phone is not ringing) the "Voice Speed Dial" program comes up.
It does the same with all my jabra
Yes the voice dial function to dial numbers and startup programs is what I meant.
I got it working now
Apparently I have to hold down the button for a second or two to make it work.
Next time I should try a little harder to figure it

Hi,
I've got a SE BT HBH-660 and when I push the asnwer button, I4ve got the "beep beep" in the speaker telling me that the Headset try to connect to the phone, but for some reason the Phone does not wake-up each time.
To make the voice dial working I need to ON/OFF the BT stack on the phone side.
When my SE BT headset is on and I make a phone call, not all the time the phone connect to the headset.
Did someone figure out the same behaviour ?
If yes how does it solve this ?

Bluetooth headset and phone speaker questions

I just bought a bluetooth headset (SE DS220) which is working great - I listen to music and take/ring calls. However i have two strange issues I wonder if it is possible to fix:
1. While I am using the bluetooth headset my phone still rings if I receive an incoming call - I would like for the phone to be silent and for it to "ring" in my headset. If I turn off the sound in my phone then I can't listen to music either.
2. When I receive an incoming call I have to answer it with the button on the bluetooth unit - if I answer with the phone then the call is switched to the phones speakers. Is it possible to change this behaviour?
Thanks in advance!

If your Device switch to the Phone Speaker ... you havent connect the Headset Profil in the Blue Tooth config.

There is a tick in the box for the headset profile and the icon comes up in the status field. It only switches if I answer with the buttons on the phone.
Noone has any ideas? Hasn't anyone else this problem?
I am not sure, but why dont you just answer the call with the headset.

That's what I do - my biggest issue is the first question:
While I am using the bluetooth headset my phone still rings if I receive an incoming call - I would like for the phone to be silent and for it to "ring" in my headset. If I turn off the sound in my phone then I can't listen to music either.
BT headset problems
I have an xda2 i and I have the problem that even when the headet is connected, at times an incoming call won't broadcast over the headset at all, and equally if i dial out the call doesn't transfer to the headset.
Curiously, I've found the solution is to go into bluetooth manager -->active connections--> and click on STATUS of the head set connected. it should show signal strength and such. I double click on the CONNECTED message (oor maybe somewhere on the screen, basically double tap until it reads NOT CONNECTED ..... as odd as it sounds... this is what i needed... as when I do this, it usually works ok for me.
Maybe it will help?
